Anyone else not feeling a whole lot of movement yet? I think I feel flutters here and there but I'm really looking forward to some kicks!! I'm 16 weeks and my placenta is anterior (for the 3rd time).

I haven't felt a whole lot yet, I'm at about 16 weeks. And this is my fourth, so I was surprised I haven't felt much. I feel a few little kicks occasionally when I lay down mid afternoon, but most of the time, it's like, was that the baby? :) no idea where the placenta is because I haven't had an u/s.

I felt the first movements at only 11 weeks with this one, but it was very faint and very sporadic. I would only feel movement every couple of days. I also have an anterior placenta (for the FOURTH time!! By any chance-- @michanders4 do you have a retroverted uterus when not pregnant? I do, and I wonder if that affects implantation sites... otherwise, how do you explain anterior placentas every time?). For the next 6 weeks or so, movement was very sporadic and only if I really paid attention. I am 19 weeks now and in the last week, movement is starting to become more pronounced to where I feel it several times a day and my husband could even feel her kick from the outside yesterday. :)

I felt rolling at like 13 weeks and then nothing until last week. I'm 18 weeks today. This is my 3rd and with my last I felt it sooner and more clearly too. It's still only little flutters and I only notice it at night. I think I have an anterior placenta this time. I keep reading about it and I feel something at my belly button and I heard that may be a sign?? Not sure. Then not feeling anything for so long. I have an ultrasound next Friday so I guess I'll find out.
My grandma keeps joking with me bc my last two babies were big. She said maybe your gonna have a tiny baby this time and that's why you can't feel it very much. I know that is in indicator we just joke about it. My babies were 8lbs 15oz and 9lb 5/6ozs. So I'm hoping it doesn't keep going up from there or I'm looking at a 10lber this time. My grandmas babies were over 10lbs with one and 12 lbs with the last. She quit having babies after that!!

With my first, I never felt the early kicks and movements. Just the major ones at about 20 weeks. Now with this one, I've felt the little movements since 15 weeks I think, maybe earlier. And as of recently, she's been kicking harder. Sometimes hard enough that hubby can feel. They all do things at their own pace.

Oh my goodness oh my goodness!! I felt him kicking tonight for sure! I felt it before ever so slightly but wasn't sure.. Tonight I am positive! Even JB was able to feel him with his hand on my abdomen. He kicks hard for a little guy!! I am so exhilarated right now... Ahhhh little baby! He's definitely in there hahaha :joy

I'll be nineteen weeks tomorrow...
I mostly have felt him at night when I lay down for bed. Just the past few nights, but tonight he was extra busy!

@JessieBird I can't wait!! It's the best feeling, knowing he's moving around in there!

... I had vivid baby dreams about him last night! Anyone else having those? I've been having so many dreams.. Many of them are quite abstract, like one I had a few nights ago where he was born and then instantly started growing up right before my eyes, and became a toddler who started talking to me and I just kept saying HOW DO YOU KNOW ALL THESE WORDS ALREADY?! Hahaha and last night the plots were jumbled in my dream so there were a million other things going on but I also had him as a newborn and I was caring for him, but I kept stopping in the dream and talking to people about how I felt like it was odd that I couldn't remember giving birth to him...

Awe, totally connected, @randic116 ! It's awesome having other mothers to share these moments with :throb

I thought I felt movement between weeks 10-13, but then nothing until 18 weeks. It was very clear for a few days, but has trailed off as I approach 19 weeks. I can't wait until it is more consistent.

not really feeling anything convincing yet, now at 18 weeks. At my u/s this week, the tech said it's not unusual not to feel anything until 25 weeks when the placenta is in the front (is that anterior?) This is baby #5 for me and I definitely felt more by now with each of the others. But I have more belly fat this time around, lol.

I wigged out a little yesterday because he was so calm, but now today he is moving SO MUCH it's insane! Also I think he has grown just in the last few days.. He is protruding out of my belly much more and he seems stronger. WOW :) :) :love

After 2 days of not feeling anything, I asked my husband to get out his stethoscope yesterday so I could try to find a heartbeat. His stethoscope sucked--I couldn't even hear my own heartbeat--so I asked him to help. As he was poking around my belly, the baby kicked so strongly that even he felt it! I definitely felt more movement today.

I found out at my ultrasound I have an anterior placenta which I had suspected. I didn't really feel movement until around 18 weeks and at almost 20 I'm still only feel flutters here and there. I have been craving lemonaid, so I bought that simply lemonaid. ( so good by the way) the baby does move a little more after i drink a cold glass if this. I mostly only feel him at night though.

I felt some bubbles (that is my best effort at describing the feeling) a few weeks back, but now, at 19 weeks, it's been very still. I hope to feel something soon—it is a bit unnerving when it's so quiet. Going for late anatomy scan next week so at least we will see her. I notice when I'm talking a lot (to my therapist usually) I start to feel something. I like to think she is getting used to the sound of my voice, and that's her way of saying hello.

@apeydef I have also been craving lemonade!! Simply lemonade is delicious!
I bet the sugar gets him going.. My midwife told me to drink fruit juice if I want to feel him and haven't for awhile hahaha I didn't have fruit juice the other day so I ate an entire cantaloupe and that worked too! :) but he doesn't REALLY start kicking unless he decides to on his own lol

Hi ladies,
I felt some turning in week 12 then nothing until some flutters a few weeks ago. I felt kicks while laying by the lake with 17 weeks and dh was able to feel it too.......aw such an amazing feeling with that first kick
I'm now 19 weeks and since the obvious 2wks ago I have just had the occasional turning feeling or slight movement. I can't wait to be feeling obvious kicks and shoves.
I have a very funny shaped and tilted uterus, so my little one looks like it's in all sorts of uncomfortable positions on u/s. It's quite far back in the uterus at the moment, so I'm putting the low movement sensation down to that for now. It is quite unnerving when I don't feel anything though, but it's reassuring to read that it's quite normal with some of you other ladies too

With the placenta previa, I can't feel kicks in the "direct front" of my stomach. But that doesn't stop her from kicking and punching my sides! Hubby can even feel and see it, which is nice and reassuring. At first I felt like I was hallucinating. Now even my OB wants to know how I'm tolerating my future soccer player/kick boxer/dancer.

Wow so glad to know I'm not the only one!! 18 weeks today and still just some flutters here and there. I, too, have some more belly fat this time around I bet and yes anterior placenta is in the front.

I'm 22 weeks. Movement really picked up at 20.5 weeks. She moves a lot now, and we can easily feel her from the outside.

My baby is proving the specialist wrong. He said that because of my placenta previa, I would only feel kicks and movements through my sides. This whole week, we have felt her through the front of my uterus and even saw her feet when she stretched!

SAME here~ 20.5 weeks and he is much stronger! I feel him move and roll and kick and squirm.. Mostly when I lie down, occasionally when I sit still. I am LOVING it :love
