So, mama, I love seeing this experience through the eyes of a first-time-mother! Of course, we've all been there before at some point... but... how are things overall for you? Any big surprises thus far?
And then non-pregnancy, what is your favorite part about where you live? Do you plan on staying there?

Things are overall going really well all things considered. Aside from the horrible morning sickness the first 14ish weeks I've been feeling pretty good. Though exhaustion slapped me across the face on Monday morning making getting to work impossible, thankfully I'm able to telecommute some of the time.
I think the biggest surprise has been the invasiveness that I've gotten from other people, and many times it's people that I would have thought would have been more respectful. I'm regularly getting demands out of the woodwork to write more about how I'm feeling, give updates on how big the baby is, if it's a boy or a girl, and post pictures. I've also been surprised at how much the overly protective mama bear in me has come out already.
I'm not a huge fan of the town we're in, mainly due to the student population and everything that comes with living in a college town. But the surrounding areas are full of state parks associated with Hoosier National Forest and I love getting out when the weather and DH's study schedule permits. Since we're just here for his PhD the hope is that we'll be moving onto bigger and better things in a few years.
Oh gosh, I seem to have become even MORE impressionable to things I see and hear and them translating into my dreams and being twisted around. The latest was a mix up of the movie Oblivion with the Netflix series Marco Polo and it involved keeping everyone safe from Mongolian aliens. Something happened and I woke up gasping scaring the crap outta DH -- I still have NO idea what spurred it though. Prior to pregnancy I had weird dreams, but now they seem to be SO much more vivid.
My dream vacation would be a month-long trip to a small village in the Austrian alps
With the money, chances are right now I'd be like "score! I'm going to get something to eat." since I seem to be hungry every couple hours anymore no matter how much I eat in one sitting.
