:::

I decided to test today instead of waiting..... I am so glad that I did! Even though this will be my 3rd baby I am still surprised. I guess that I am all caught up in the miracle of things.

Two minutes after I tested I had to help DS make his late lunch and had my hands full with 2 screaming kids. DH yelled from the living room and asked, "How many kids do you want?" All in good humor of course. I yelled back, "Three!" So typical.

Rhiannon- I am truely sorry that it wasn't your month. I wish you the best in the future.

Ravenstar- Yes, we are staying warm. Thank goodness we are so lucky! I too have been feeling like my period has been coming since Wednesday. So here's to hoping that it's your baby getting all nice comfy inside!

I am also wondering what Double Peak means. I chart with the couple to couple league charts at home. This past cycle I had a 6 day jump and then the rest of my temps jumped up to look like a seperate group. Does that even make sense. My lines almost look like steps on a staircase. Is that what a double peak is? If so, does it mean anything different?

Hugs to everyone!

Married to DH 7 years and have three fantastic kiddos! DS 6, DD 4, and DS 2 ...... lo and behold another is on the way!

Hooray adoremybabe! :::
When you said that your temp was still high and you were two days late, it seemed very likely. I'm really happy for you.
My husband and I have had moments like that too. I keep saying "Yes, I want another one!"
I am really hoping there is a baby getting cozy in there. Thanks for the wishes.

What a cold day... the first blast of winter and I'm ready for it to be over already

RavenStar: I'm sorry to hear about your BFN... I'm keeping my fingers crossed that you'll still have good news to report...

MrsTC: You crack me up... yes, spotting and drinking sisters... I've gotta live still... I'm still spotting/light flow as well... I've found since I stopped taking the pill almost a year ago that my periods are very short (2-3 days) and low flow... not sure if that is normal?

Rhiannon: I'm so sorry, I hope your next cycle ends with better news!!

Congrats on the BFP Adoremybabe!

So happy to hear adoremybabe's good news!

And hoping for the start of a fertile cycle for KellyTTC#1, Rhiannon and RavenStar. I hope any sense of disappointment fades to leave space for new hope.

Mrs TC, it seems like you're having a mystery cycle... any new insights?

And octobermoon and I are in the 2ww, while KaliShanti is still busy with her EWCM and her husband. I bet octobermoon is starting to feel the urge to test? Stay strong!

I made an appointment with a TCM doctor who specializes in women's issues, and it's tomorrow! I'm looking forward to getting her opinion and also getting a plan to balance my energies. My temps during this LP are pretty low so far, and I'm still having weird intermittent cramping. So I'm glad to be taking action.

Good luck, everyone!

ETA: And Congrats to you, too, MaerynPearl!

sky_and_lavender my temps have been a little on the low side too this time round. i am seeing a tcm/acu fertility specialist and will see her once a week to help me get pregs. it feels lots better to do something to boost the chances and to be healthier and calm. GL!

oh BTW i have a bad feeling today probably b/c i had a temp drop. even though my LP is usually 15 days, last cycle i started spotting at 13 dpo, i'm scared of a BFN. so i don't even want to test AT ALL...of course everyone knows that could change within minutes..... the 10 DPO hump was a bit hard since it does seem there are plenty of BFPs then!

you are not taking the cramping as a good sign then? is this abnormal for you? how long is your LP typically?

conGRATS, adoremybabe!!!!!:

octobermoon, I'm sorry you're not feeling it anymore FWIW, I think it's a better place to be, not pushing hope, even though it sucks. Everything but a positive pregnancy test and a growing belly sucks. Sucks.

AFM, no spotting yesterday and none today so far. We had the pukes at our house over the weekend, dh and I spent the weekend catching barf from our oldest and trying to keep our youngest out of the barf bowl and away from brother's sippy cup. So far so good, and no barfing this morning so far. So isn't it neat and fun and further mysterious that I've had a sickly stomach all morning...:...is it a baby or is it early barfs descending upon me? Also feel mentally like a space cadet, but that happens all the time to me, if I'm being honest, but otherwise no preg symptoms.

Buying another test today, because...just because.

wow MrsTC i am sorry you are having such a crazy cycle! figures right? when we are TTC seems like all the weird stuff starts happening, stuff that usually never seems to happen let us know about the test.

also thanks for the encouragement, we all know TTC is a roller coaster ride! are we having fun yet?

I hope your temp rises again! It's not that low- it's common to fluxuate some, even in pregnancies.

Thanks everyone. I was really hopeful. I'm not sure if we'll get to try this month or not. We'll be at my parent's house in Minneapolis for Christmas. I guess we'll see if we can be creative. Our DD will be sleeping with us and there is a full house that week. Otherwise there's always january.
All the best to the rest of you in the 2ww.

It's neat that you're also doing the TCM thing. I agree that it feels nice to have have recourse to something other than sterile and judgmental doctor's offices when there's a sense that we might need a little help.
My situation is that, on our second month TTC, ovulation took forever (day 23 instead of day 14-20) and was preceded and followed with weird cramps that lasted until my period. Then in this cycle, I had a lot of soreness in my ovarian area while my body tried to ovulate (and was successful day 16). I used to have an occasional weak LP, but now it's a good 13-15 day one (with lifestyle modification and vitex). Still, my temps are always pretty low (it's rare for my temp to get above 98, and common for it to be below 96.4 in the follicular phase.) I don't want to struggle for months and months before I decide something's not quite right, when I can feel already there's something amiss. So we'll see how this TCM thing works out.

thanks! i am still so utterly anxious and emotional, it's an awful feeling.
i switched my care for acupuncture about three weeks ago b/c my previous provider had a baby and is now on maternity leave for three months. i do like my new provider better though. i'm seeing her once a week.
we are on our second month TTC also!! the first month was kind of on a last minute whim and i wasn't temping or doing OPKs or anything and we BD the day FF said I O'd so who knows about that cycle really. will this be your first child? how often do you see your person? how was your appointment today? where do you get your needles placed? do you get moxa?

good luck to you too! acupuncture has a VERY good success rate, something to be positive and at peace about.

On day 9? LOL Just remember how today felt and maybe it'll help you wait....

This is the first month I think that I've made it to day 10 without testing. I'm so proud of myself. Day 12 will be really hard not to test. You know, I don't feel so crazy...maybe there's something to this not testing thing. I can be blissfully ignorant for longer.... Oh and I've got about 5 projects and 3 "dates" lined up this week to keep me busy. I've been crafting away.... It really does help me. Well, it's only Tuesday ofcourse....I think I have to make it to Sunday.

I'm hoping to see some more bfp's around here. My heart breaks a little everytime someone's AF shows up. I do get a strange pleasure out of at least seeing someone else get that ole bfp.

Mom to two boys, 7 and 10.  Expecting 3rd boy any day now with DH (his first).

I'm feeling pretty down. My temps did not jump today, so I have still not ovulated. I thought my cycles were returning to normal. I weaned my son and am taking all sorts of supplements and getting in shape, etc. but after a good strong O last month this month nada, just tons of EWCM and even positive OPKS....that leads nowhere. :

Don't worry, this is part of the process sometimes. But I do hope you get to relax a bit.

How nice that the loss of one doctor led to finding an even better one!

This is actually our third cycle, but the second one was so strange it doesn't seem like there was much of a chance in it. I hope this is the month for you (and me, if that's what's best).

I just had my first appt today. It was cool to finally find a doctor of any kind who knows how to read fertility awareness method charts! She was trained as a western MD and an TCM doctor in China, specializing in gynecology. Anyway, I've never done acupuncture before and I was a bit apprehensive, but it was more or less painless, and quite relaxing.

She said that the pattern I'm currently exhibiting is similar to that which forms endometriosis and that the recent change in my cycles might be indicative of a trend toward developing that. No one wants to have endometriosis, but I'm glad that she's at least was taking my symptoms seriously. She's going to have me come every two weeks, and also prescribed herbs. No moxa, but she used some kind of machine-based stimulation of the points over my uterus/ovaries. She also placed them in my feet, my legs, and my ears. Interesting.

Maybe we should start an acupuncture/TCM thread to share our experiences, or pick the one that zenproofstella started some time ago. What do you think?

CanidFL: That's okay if you tested earlier than you'd pledged. As octobermoon said, we saved your space on the wagon. Hop on up!

KaliShanti: Ugh, how frustrating. Your body will find its way, though.

Court: : Yay! Patience and serenity go hand in hand.

Tonight was our winter band concert. I'm so glad for it to be over. It went well, but I'm exhausted. School has been consuming a lot of time lately with Christmas parades, and two performances. I've done 2 parades, one to go on Sunday, and one performance down, one more to go. Hip hip. We're almost done.

And I'm sooo tired. Wonder if I can get my dear husband to rub my tootsies. Those shoes and swelling... just don't go together.

Wonder if i could get some of that chocolate therapy? YUMMY

Night, ladies. Hope you have a reproductive evening.

Married to my best friend, expecting #1 6/09. Little angel came early- 4/10/09, 2lbs 5oz. Lilah Grace:
