How to shorten/regulate my cycle/follicular phase? - Mothering Forums

The length of my cycles tends to vary quite a bit. Anywhere from 28-38 days. I would just like my cycles to be a little bit more regular, and having long cycles is especially inconvenient when TTC.

I know that lots of things can delay ovulation, but what would you suggest to really help even things out?

I am new at this, but I know for me that when I am working out, low-stress, not drinking at all, then my periods are VERY regular. When I am having any of those things, it is very irregular. Right now I am at anywhere from 28-34 day cycles bc I have been very stressed. I am sure these mamas have a lot more info, though.

Um, I have the same thing...so I'll be watching here...

I don't know that it can be changed realy...I've just sortof accepted it as my body's quirk... My luteal phase is always precisely 14 days, but ovulation varies from day 12-22, and i've just accepted that as ok. It is *usually* day 12-16, but there are occasional funky cycles, probably stress related since stress delays ovulation.
Personally, I jsut chart so I know when to to expect AF/when to do the pgcy test.
