I hate posting a new thread about this, but I am really looking for lots of eyes and advice.

I am so confused. I have had positive OPKs three days in a row! Not normal, right? What could be going on? It seems like today could be slightly less dark than yesterday's but I'm not sure. My temps have not risen significantly, either.:

Here they are back to back:

What do you think?? *edited to make pics bigger*

First of all, although many women only get one +OPK and then it becomes neg by next day, many women, from time to time, will get 2 days of +OPK and in some cases, if you have a long surge and manage to catch the very beginning and very end of the surge you could get 3 days worth. As well it is possible to surge (gearing up to O) but have it delayed and then try again, this can also create several days of positive results.

I do have a question though, are those Answer brand strips? If so then I think only one of them is a positive. With most OPK if even partial thickness of the line is darker than the control it is positive...with Answer, at least half or more of the thickness of the line must be as dark or darker to qualify as a positive. If those are Answer, then from what I can see on my screen (though they are a little small), Friday looks very positive, the next two look like they would not fit the Answer criteria.

As far as your temps, you could be having a slow rise, you may be ovulating 2days after first positive, rather than next day (that can happen) or maybe your body geared up but didn't succeed...hard to say without having a couple more days of temps.

Hmm. Ok. They are Answer brand and I had never heard of that.. but I did take one last night and it was definitely negative, but then it looked positive again today. So hmm.

I just wish my temps would shoot up tomorrow then I'd know! My temps before CD 26 are wacky though b/c I was on progesterone. So they make my coverline higher than normal. Argh. Tired of "planned" Bd-ing.

Oh sheesh I hate this whole line thickness %age for one test, different for another, etc etc... I find the digital pregnancy tests ridiculous but the digital OPKs are definately useful.

BUT if your cycles are wonky - as mine are - you'd need a bank loan to use them. :P

I have NO opinion on these tests, I will defer to others who used them... but if this cycle is a bust for you, this is my plan - to buy both line tests and digital tests and use the digital tests to confirm what looks like a + line test. Seems like a cost effective way to get true confirmation.

It is also possible that you do have 3 tests, like a PP said, you could be gearing up to O and not quite doing it - which is also maddening.

I like the Answer tests and my temps always confirm their results. I use Answer tests and usually get two days of positives. However, I got three days of positives on the cycle of my previous pregnancy. I believe I had a stronger/longer surge due to taking Soy Isoflavones that cycle.

Usually, I ovulate on the second day of my positive OPKs, but when I had three days of positives, I ovulated on the day of the 3rd positive OPK. If you do the same as I did, you would be ovulating today.

I use ClearBlue Easy, and I got 3 days worth of +s on this last cycle.

Good Luck!

I got five days of positive answers the cycle before my BFP. They were thick and darker than the control line all five days. I think answer's too sensitive for people with really strong LH surges, but that just me. I found clear blue to be much less confusing. I also have read that sometimes your egg will gear up to be released and then something will happen to inhibit it. So you'll surge but you won't release an egg and your body will immediately gear up to try again. That can cause a few extra days of positives too. As long as it doesn't happen often, you're okay.

From that first link: "After my LH surge appeared to last 6 days (going by the above rule of thumb), I made the unsettling discovery that my tap water was also ovulating." LOLOLOLOLOL

That makes me feel way better about my BFN today-- I might not be 9 DPO, but 7, because I used those Answer strips and had positives for 4 days. :
