Welcome to February! Looks like Shwarma is setting the standard high already!

noahandlylasmommi - Sorry for your loss. Hope your stay here is short!

Snow~Pea - Thanks for hosting our new thread!

mrscompgeek - I bet the maca had nothing to do with your terrible O pain. It was probably all the fanfare your body was building up after spending 54 days crafting the biggest, prettiest, healthiest eggie!! I sure hope you have the satisfaction of going back to your GYN with a BFP from the cycle in which you weren't supposed to O!!! Yup, more proof that the docs don't know everything.

AFM: I was kinda thinking from my temps/CM/O pain that maybe I O'd today. But I used a cheap LH test strip around 6:30 p.m. and got nothing but the control line. I only had the one strip, so I saved it to use when I thought I was O-ing. I'm confused. Do you think if I O'd today, I needed to use the test a day or two ago? I expected to get some kind of second line, even if it was faint.

When do you normally O? Also do you have only a couple of good CM days or more? I'd say you still have a good chance according to the looks of your chart, but I don't know your pattern so it's a bit hard to guess. Wish I had your short cycles though!

Monday Check in: Well, okay, it's fifteen minutes into Sunday
Name: Julie
Date: February 1st
Where are you at in your cycle: Well, since I'm operating as if it's Feb 1st (it's just past midnight) then CD3.
Appointments: n/a
Symptoms if they apply: heavy bleeding from my vagina! haha.
Testing: none right now, just waiting to O. As per my last cycle, it could be another 20 days, but just in case my last cycle was wonky due to it being my first cycle off HBC I'll probably start with the OPKs around day 12 or 13. I'd loooove to have a shorter cycle...
Thoughts: Coming off the first-timer's disappointment, but ready to go again. I'm eating healthier and planning to get to the gym 3 times a week. I'm willing to put in a better effort and see if I'll get better results this time around

Lauren, sweetie, there is nothing wrong with having a longer than 14 day LP- that is normal! So if you go all the way to 17DPO without AF that is still okay. Doesn't mean there is anything wrong. I just want to tell you that because every new day you don't AF or BFP you seem very concerned and you don't have to be. Not only is it normal to have a longer LP it's a good thing! I know it stinks to have to wait longer, but all the more time for baby to burrow when there is one to burrow in. Make sense? I know it's hard.

Lauren - I think your chart clearly shows a post-O temp shift. But, I'm not sure if I agree w/ FF, I think your O date could actually be anywhere between CD27 - CD30 so I wouldn't fret too much about consistently high temps for another few days.....and you could always be pregnant!

Anywhere from CD11-CD14 is normal for me. I'm frustrated by how much FF seems to rely on CM. I just don't make very much of it. Things have felt "wet" for a couple days, but I don't get gobs of CM, and it doesn't last long.

I was bummed to not get a big temp rise this morning, but I just looked at the last chart I have from when I'm positive I O'd--'cause I got pg with DS! On CD11 and CD12, I recorded temps of 97.6, and CD13 98.5. I also got a negative OPK on CD11. So that is very consistent with this cycle...so far. : Now if only this cycle will turn out the way that one did! :

And yes, a short cycle is nice when you are TTC. But when you're not, I'll bet the long cycle has its benefits, too!

After 16 months TTC, 1 diagnostic lap, and 5 failed Clomid cycles, I finally got my BFP! : I actually got the first one yesterday, but I needed to see a second positive before I posted. Women with PCOS are at a much higher chance of m/c, so I'm really nervous, but I'm trying to stay positive. There's a picture of yesterday's test in my blog. The line isn't super dark, but its there. I'll probably post one of today's test later today.

Yay Libby!!! I am so happy for you guys!!! ::: Do you have to decide soon about posts after career course? My husband is engineer, so we are figuring it out right now... so many things to consider you know? Like being newly pregnant maybe, having a child, etc. How exciting a time for you two!

As for me: Well I am spotting today/light flow, so I am not sure if I am going to keep it as spotting or light, I guess it depends if I need a tampon later tonight haha. I am happy and relieved to begin another cycle. I knew in my heart I was not pregnant, and just felt like I was waiting for . But YAY she came and I can get on with it! I have hope that my body is truly doing what it is supposed to do. I know it is capable of it- Oing with a decent LP (about 13-15 days isn't too shabby). So I am excited to get going this february!!!! :

Lauren, sorry this wasn't your cycle. I am glad to see that your cycle is regulating itself though. I think you definately ovulated (on your own!) and your LP is much improved. : for this next cycle.

I have been enjoying temping and reading through tcoyf. I know it has been said a million times, but it really is amazing how much basic info we aren't taught about our cycles.

It is so cool that just by taking my temp I can actually know whether I am o'ing or not....Wow. Just by taking my temp...

Don't worry, I will get my chart linked up soon, so I can help feed everyone's chart-stalking obsession.

Sure is nice to have a fresh thread, thanks snow~pea!

Lauren-- Sorry it didn't work out for this cycle, but there is a great positive here: you have a full, normal cycle (for you!) under your belt, which can give you more confidence for when you DO get pregnant that your body really does know what to do So yay!

AFM-- Anyone else have a hilariously efficient cycle? Mine just went "heavy flow, heavy flow, GONE!" Like someone had the sink on full-blast and then turned it off, lol. I'll take it over seven days of spotting!

Lauren, I'm glad you're at peace with your AF, you sound a lot like I felt last AF. I knew I wasn't pg, but just wanted AF. But seriously, what a beautiful, normal cycle for you! Now next cycle you should be all set!

Jenna, my DH is weird like that. I can't even mention TTC or he FREAKS out. It's like he's ok doing it and has said he wants to make me happy and another kid is fine, yadda yadda yadda...but if I even mention TTC or something that relates to it, it totally stresses him out and kills the mojo. We are talking about a guy who has worked FT while going to school FT and having a wife, child, and house to take care of, so obviously can handle some heavy stress...but NOT that kind!

No advice but to avoid the pre-seed!

I wish! I though last cycle would be like that because CD 2 was fast and furious, but no luck, I still spotted for the next 5 days or so. Good for you!
