Well still no PPAF. I started charting yesterday and got myself a basal thermometer. any tips would be appreciated. oh and we also started increasing solids yesterday and I went 6 hours without nursing thats all I could make it though....and it was just a 2 min nurse then he didnt nurse for another 2 hours. so I am trying to have bigger gaps inbetween.

Tenk ~ It's possible to ovulate before getting Af back. Just chart and watch for fertile signs.

babymonster ~ Last month was annov, the month before 9day LP, before that was 12day LP according to the ovusoft summary my average lp is 12days.

gottecat~ No tips other than makeing sure to get 3hours of sleep before temping and temping at the same time every morning.

So I'm 7pod right now and I'm totally starting to get nervous. Last cycle I think I had a 9 day LP, which obviously wouldn't be long enough. I've been taking B6 & B12 since last cycle, alng with fish oil, and a prenatal that has really good amounts of supplements. So I'm hoping I am able to lengthen my Lp long enough for somethign to stick this month. But now that I'm getting closer to it I'm going crazy!! Ahhh I hate the 2ww, especially when your nursing and don't know what the next cyle will bring.

klocke~:

AAM~ Took a first response digital this morning at 13dpo that said NO not sure how sensitive they are though. I still have 1 more of those, a clear blue digital, and a regular first response test.

Ok ladies....I got my ppaf today!!! And, bbDD will be one year old next weekend, she's still nursing on demand round the clock, but I can tell it's tapering just a bit. Probably only 4ish times at night now, and 6ish time during the day? I'm not sure exactly though.

At least now I feel like I have a benchmark for tracking etc.

And this *might* explain how I've been so emotional lately. Just might...:

Hi. I've had a bad month for sleeping and that means no temping. I'm on cd26 after my first ppaf and have had a few days of fertile cm so we've taken advantage of that but I don't know when or if I've O'd. We'll see what comes. Good luck all.

Kami, I've been there, hopefully you get a better result in the end tho!

Yeh on ppaf returning Theoretica, its v exciting, I felt I could finally do a bit more than wish for another addition!

counterGOPI CD15 is pretty early to O for a nursing mama, the avg O date starts around day20 for a lot of us. In hindsight I O'd on day 36 last cycle so don't lose hope yet!

Klocke, best of luck with the wait, spreading lots of babydust in your direction

CD14 for me, low readings on my fertility monitor. I am temping but I am sick this wk and rarely get three hrs in a row so my temps are all over the place and ff has me at 5dpo which I most definitely am not!!

Hi girls, can I join you?

I'm nursing my ds, who will be one in a couple of weeks. I still have no ppaf, but dh and I have decided to see if we can catch the first egg. We only have until August before we have to stop for 4 months, because I have to fly to a friends wedding in 2010, and don't want anything to stop me going, so feeling a little panicky about not getting my ppaf before then.

Don't feel ready to wean or night wean ds, and nervous about taking any supplements that could affect my supply, so just have to wait and see.
I've noticed some ewcm recently, which is good seeing as I never used to get any before ds.

I can't temp because I'm waking too often during the night, so was thinking of ordering loads of cheap opks and doing one every day. Even if it can't accurately predict when I'll start ovulating again, it will at least let me know if I'm not, so that I won't obsess hoping that I am pregnant constantly, seeing as I don't have a cycle to limit the obsessing to once a month.

Good luck everybody, I'm hoping to see lots of new bfps over the next few weeks.

How long after your LO started STTN did your cycle return? My LO has been sleeping from 8pm to 6am for a week now and I am hoping to ovulate this month. He nurses about 6 times in 24 hours and I am still waiting for AF. I didn't get my 1st PPAF until 21 mo with my first but he didn't start STTN until 18 mo or so. Would red clover help my body to return to fertility?

So I'm totally bummed today. : My temp took a significant dive this morning (9dpo). I'm hoping it is an implantation dip. This is the first time I've ever temped a full cycle. But with my 3 other kids I wasn't able to get a BFP until my AF was already a few days late, so I'm hoping that means I implate a little later and still gives me hope for this cycle. I'd realy be upset if AF rears her ugly head. I'm moving cross country in a month and my dh is staying behind to finsh his job up while I get the house ready in our new town. So we won't be together again until late July!! I might be able to catch O next month before I leave but that would be cutting it close.

Updated: Well I started spotting brown creamy CM tonight (Sorry TMI) so I'm figuring I'm out this month. That means my LP is still only 9 days. Totally bummed.

Go ahead and add me to "Waiting to O". AF has showed up in full force now . Well I'm not sure what my chances are of extending my LP in one month. If we don't catch my egg this cycle we will have to take a break until late July. If I were to start a supplement like Vitex when in my cycle should I start it? I'm undecided if I want to mess with my body that much but I've read some good things about it. Any personal experience with it?

Oooh, SoCali, that looks promising!! (stickyvibes)

klocke- I'd begin on CD1. It's not so potent as artificial cycle regulators, but I always err on the side of caution when starting any new program. Some women find it takes a few months, some notice their first cycle on it, it helps. It just helps your body remember when to release what hormones. It isn't a hormone in itself, so it's relatively gentle. I'd still say begin on CD1.

Are we doing a thread for April?
