Hi, my name is Johnna, mommy to Kristian who just turned two. We have been trying to concieve our second since Dec 07 but AF took her sweet time in showing back up again. I finally had my first pp AF in Aug 2008 when ds was 18 months old. I have had pretty regular cycles (31-33 days or so) since then but my luteal phase was only 9-10 days. Which from what I have read it a pretty common issue for breastfeeding moms. Neither my son or I are ready to wean (and I won't to TTC) but I am about to be 36 so I feel like the clock is ticking...

This month I took a B6 vitamin complex to try to help, and I O'd 4 days earlier than normal!

I am 10 dpo but no bfp yet. I will test again tomorrow morning. I didn't get a bfp with K until 12 dpo.

Johnna

Hi to another month and everyone here! I'm still lurking mostly. Baby-fever comes and goes for me. I guess my ttc is so lax because I have yet to see af. DD will be a year old in 6 weeks. I just can't bring myself to stimulate af. Until she shows her face, or dd is a little older, I'm just a 'first-egg hopeful'.

Here's to BFP's for everyone!

Please move me to 2WW. I'm 3 dpo and fingers crossed for a good month.

Here is some fertility fairy dust :**..--**..--

Anybody had crummy luck getting a OPK to go positive? I bought a 20 pack at Target and ended up getting frustrated at negatives, I new I was about to O for about 6 reasons so I started doing them 3-4 times a day for what were the 2 days before O and the O-day. None were even ambiguous positives. I won't spend the $ again, but was just curious this month and ended up frustrated. :

I'm waiting to O, impatiently! It's going to happen in the next few days, so we're busy here

This will be officially our 7th month of TTC (with an early m/c thrown in there in November) so I'm eager to get on with it! DS came after only two months of charting and TTC, so it was a breeze. Why isn't it now?!

Good luck everyone!

Trying to stay positive this month. Both of our girls were conceived in March, so maybe this is our month? I'll take three December babies if that is what the universe thinks I need.

Ok mamas, talk to me about EWCM...

If you have not gotten your first pp af, do you get any?

Last week I had a TON of ewcm. Like...ummm...two egg whites at least.

But no pp af? My temps are wonky cause I've been sick w/this sinus thing. And I'm forgetting to temp same time every morning...argh! I've OPKd a few times but it's solidly nada, so I don't want to spend the $$ on wasting sticks when I'm not o'ing. ykwim?

About a month ago I had a moderate amount of ewcm so it's definitely there, and definitely a decent (aka copious) amount... ?

Tell me this is normal! Or can you O without having af???

I dunno what to think here!

Talk to me mamas....LOL

Not quite sure where I fit? Laissez-faire + opportunity has worked better in the past, now, I'm on the cusp of intentioned/scheduling/charting.... "focused trying". If we don't happen to conceive this cycle (doubtful!), I'm prepared to get down to business. I expect AF imminently.

And still nursing the 19 month old.

PS: After looking @ charts, I went to FF, & I think I messed up. Now it suggests someone invite me. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Could you move me to "waiting for first pp egg" ?

I have my period for the first time since November 06! So maybe an egg is in my future!

So, ewcm... I've had LOTS since 8 mos pp and so far at 13 months I'm still missing AF. Temping has been sort of a joke for me because my babe's feeding patterns are erratic at night. So, I haven't detected ovulation that way but really I don't think I have O'd anyway. An NP and a midwife told me that you can O and not have an AF, but I don't think that is what is happening with me. I think it is just my body trying to O and then trying and trying again. Someday, it'll happen.

Need thoughts...
CD11 started having red spotting.
I've been on a bunch of meds for my bronchitis.... but what the heck?
Usually O sometime around CD16-19. (Stopped bleeding CD5)
Ideas???
This hasn't happened before.
I did have some chronic spotting while ttc DD2 - but it was post O and always brownish pink.

Yeh! I'm hoping to poas this Saturday to see if the theory can be substantiated. Feeling v tired today, slept from 3pm to 7.30pm and still getting big globs of jelly/sticky cm at 7dpo - early signs maybe?
I don't recall any early signs with dd because I wasn't expecting to get pregnant so soon after coming off bc so didn't look out for signs.

Re Theoreticas question above about ewcm before ppaf. I had lots of it a month before period arrived, and something v similar to what you describe about a wk before af arrived, so you might be closer than you think!

so according to peeonastick.com (question #34)...a pregnancy test dipped in breastmilk can give a false positive. there is more under that faq # on breastfeeding and pregnancy tests. hth!

so that may not mean (whoever did this and got a +) that you are not pregnant, it just does not mean you need to poas!

looks like we aren't the first ones to ask this question though.

I kinda knew that I would have to poas, I just wanted to see if I got two lines, and if I did what would they look like - I know I sound a bit mad - lol!!!!!
Besides the breastmilk "bfp" I actually have a funny feeling that I am pregnant, could be wishful thinking or first cycle ttc optimism but I hope I'm right I'll know in a wk!

I have a silly question. I have EWCM today. I can't remember if my Fertility Friend lessons said that once you see EWCM you've already ovulated, or you're about to.
Regardless, dh and I are fighting tonight. : Gack! I hope we can get ds to bed, make up, and baby dance in the next couple of hours.

Mama to DS (12/11/07) and partner to DH (08/08). Expecting #2 late November 2011!

Kami, that does look pretty annovulatory to me. Sorry. I do think it's normal to have an annovulatory cycle every now and then.

MahnaMahna, EWCM usually comes before/during ovulation.

But, Theoretica, it's totally possible to have EWCM and not ovulate. A lot of nursing mamas have patches of EWCM off and on before their fertility actually returns.

Kami, I'd agree, it kind of looks like you didn't O this cycle . I'm sorry.

Theoretica, I have EWCM on and off, have now for a couple of months, but now ppaf.

I am pretty sure that you can O once, before your ppaf comes back, but more than once, you'll get af inbetween.

I'm working on the theory that the EWCM is my body sort of wanting to O, then the continued nursing hormones don't let it happen, but given the chance, it will. I had lots of it last week.

Same here, just hanging out waiting .
