I just started temping. This is really only the second month I've done it and there are some mornings I've missed.

Last moth, FF didn't detect an ovulation. I got my IUD taken out 2/23. DP and I have decided (as of a couple days ago) that we're going to wait for 6 months to re-evaluate things. (I have some health issues that he's not comfortable having a baby during.)

So, since 2/23, we've used condoms, and occasionally the pull-out method.

This month, ovulation was detected on CD 16, my temps dipped (waaay) below the coverline on CD 20, but today, CD 21, I'm quite a bit above it again. WTH does this mean?

Here's my chart: http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/25311d

Hmmm... I'm not convinced that you have ovulated actually. Did you take any OPKs or anything? I'd personally be carefull witht he pulout method. I've had a few friends get pg while trying that. So it is a possibility the that could be an implantation dip if you did in fact ovulate when they say... Anyway, I know that isn't any help lol. Good luck!!!!

Why not?

And no, I'm not using OPKs. We're not really trying right now.

I dunno... to me it looks like the temperature dip could be an abnormality - was it a colder night, or your sleep pattern was different somehow? I get these occasionally. Since you're only at 5 DPO I would just keep temping and wait - hopefully AF will show up on time.

Without any CM recorded it's much more difficult. If you had fertile cm until cd 20 I'd say you ovulated then. If not then it could be an anomaly or an implantation dip.

It looks like an implantation dip to me too, but it is really hard to tell with missing temperatures and no other data. Checking cervical mucous is really key.

OPKs can be useful when charting to avoid as well, in that they help give a fuller picture. I don't always use them and haven't recently, but they did help confirm my other signs.

At 4dpo such a dip is just a common fallback temp (happens when there has been a secondary estrogen surge), or it is possible that that dip is your ovulation day if the cd17 temp was unusually elevated. A few more days of temps will tell more. Too early for implantation.
