I made it to Albuquerque, got the +opk, hung out with brother in law, and left him alone to get me my sample-- and oh my goodness it is tiny!
I feel so odd about there being so little-- like was he too nervous to have a really good time? Hopefully I won't ovulate until tomorrow and we'll have a couple more shots...
Maybe we'll have to figure it out so he doesn't think i'm lurking.. I was off riding his bike, and certainly wasn't lurking, but he may have felt pressure. Damn, and i think tonight was our best shot. (well... or not!)

On a different topic, Has anyone tried coconut milk yogurt?

You'll get some more good ones in!!

Coconut milk ice cream is AMAZING, not sure about the yogurt though. I'm not big on yogurt.

Pelican, I think normally "samples" are pretty small.

I really like coconut milk yogurt. My nursling and I can't have soy right now, so it's our only choice. Baby Girl likes it, too. The only brand I've seen is Soy Delicious, but it is yummy!

I don't think the samples are very big either. I think it only takes a tiny bit.

I love the coconut yogurt. Good stuff!

I want to make coconut yogurt but not sure what to use as the base. just starter? or soy yogurt and add coconut milk? I certainly can't buy it anywhere.

pelican, I think it's normal, too.

oceane, I saw this recipe on the blog of an MDC mama with kids with food allergies. Never tried it, but you should!

Hi oceane ! Hi vegans! I don't think I did a check in last week, so I'm on cd35 / 10dpo. Nothing exciting to report in the way of symptoms. Hope everyone is having a good week so far.

Well... what makes using a donor so interesting... is that he now tells me the samples are so small cause he's having trouble getting it all in the jar!!?:
I guess I just have to laugh. Another one of those times that life is just reminding me I have no control over anything. Nothing. (But the clomid seems to have made my temp shift way better this month...)

I tried the Vanilla So Delicious Coconut Yogurt-- too sweet for me, but if they make plain it would prob be good... the texture was great.
The hotel breakfast is one of those reminders that there are very few vegans out there...

My BroInLaw is trying to lose (a lot) of weight, and has started the "Paleo" diet. Makes it rather challenging for us to eat at restaurants together... Luckily he eats lots of vegetables.

Hesperia how exciting to start trying this month! Enjoy!

Pelican, I agree with PPs that the size is not that important as long as there are some good swimmers in there!

Snow Pea, I hope no exciting symptoms is a good sign for you. I rarely think I am PG the cycles I actually am!

good things about not being pregnant: being able to get a dental x-ray done today so now I won't have to do one again for, well, hopefully forever.

hesperia, you're 3 days behind me, but I ovulate late. so you can still get ahead

hi snow! I can't type snow right now it's freakin hot! I can't work instead I'm on here. I should really study.

Whoa hooo! Cycle buddies!

I need to visit the dentist to, but like many, after the baby arrives. :

I have two more appointments this cycle, gosh, I hate the dentist. mine is actually really nice, and still. but I cannot imagine not having it included in insurance, that must really suck.

I had two rolls already and am still hungry. too lazy to make lettuce salad. maybe tomorrow?

enjoy your Friday nights ladies!

bump!

I forgot to do a friday check-in. I think I'm going to switch it to weekend check-in, since we all get kind of busy

Cycle Day: 4
DPO: n/a
Test date: probably tomorrow
Any new herbs, food changes, vitamins: Nothing new
How do you feel: Excited!
Weekend plans: Great day off yesterday with my DH, relaxing today and cleaning the house. Hoping I get an email from a new family (just had their second UC babe!) and I can go over and assist around their home. Just nice and relaxing.

Well, I'm back. My beautiful baby was growing in my ovary, not my uterus, so here I am. My husband and I are not actively trying again just yet, but we are not avoiding either. I am scared to death that I will have another ectopic pregnancy, but I feel hopeful at the same time. I have no idea where I am in my cycle because AF hasn't come back yet. I just wanted to pop back in to let you all know I'm thinking of you. I will be in and out as DH and I wait to see what happens. We are going to officially start trying in November, but I certainly wouldn't be disappointed if we saw a BFP before that!

Vegan mama looking forward to meeting my baby in July 2010!

Cycle Day: 7
DPO: n/a
Any new herbs, food changes, vitamins: acupressure at home, need to get new herbs and try to not stress too much. difficult!
How do you feel: have exams the following two weeks so a little anxious and also like I am working hard on this.
Weekend plans: yeah, well, I am studying right now. ok, I was until I got on here

happy weekend everyone!

Thanks, oceane. I've spent the last few weeks in the pregnancy loss forum, which was so supportive and exactly what I needed at the time. I'm really happy to be back here though. It helps me feel like I'm moving forward.

My fingers are crossed for all of you!

Vegan mama looking forward to meeting my baby in July 2010!
