I finally went to the gyno yesterday because I haven't had a normal period since my mc back in Nov. I have had af on days 21, 18, 24 and 22 of my cycle with intermittent heavy bleeding and clots. I thought I had a lpd and was taking vitex, red raspberry and b6 on my own with no changes. My mc was characterized by bleeding for 45 days. So the doctor ordered an us (May 18) of my uterus because she thinks I may still have a thickened lining from the mc late last year. Should I be worried about abnormal cells or infection since it was so long ago, if that is the case? I am kind of grossed out right now.

Sorry, don't have any info for you but sorry this has happened to you. My M/C was early, and just passed clot like stuff for 2 days. I'm kinda surprised with you bleeding for 45 days after... did they not suggest a D & C ?

hope everything comes out ok.

As to infection - have you been having fevers, abdominal pain or foul smelling drainage? If not, I wouldn't think you were infected.

I am a nurse and I asked myself those questions...the answer being no...so my common sense tells me that I have not gotten any infection. But I tend to be a worrier so that is what I am doing.

The miscarriage itself was weird. I didn't know I was pregnant so it was very early. After 19 days of intermittent heavy bleeding I called the ob/gyn to ask of my bf could be causing it and they told me to take a pregnancy test. So I did and it was positive. So I had beta hcgs drawn until they reached zero which was after a week or two later of bleeding. I continued to bleed for about 45 days. No one else that I have heard of has had a mc like that.

Have you taken a pregnancy test recently ?
