I'm having a hard time finding the info I'm looking for online...

Last month (my first month charting), my LP was only 7 days long. I've read about taking vitamin b to help lengthen it, but I don't know which vitamin b or how much of it.

How does it work? Will it move my ovulation earlier or lengthen my cycles by adding more days after I ovulate? How many more days does it add on? If I start taking it this month (CD 1), will it work this month?

Also, is it safe while nursing?

Sorry for all the questions!

It only works if the reason your lp is short is a lack of vitamin b. I did a lot of research on this last month trying to lengthen my lp myself...

the only way you can be sure it will lengthen is to find out why it's so short to begin with and correct that.

I was nursing my DS and my LP`s were very short too (like 8 days or so). I ovulated late and had a short LP. So, I started taking Vitamin B6. I just took the recommended dose on the bottle. It is a water soluble vitamin so I figured it should be fine for nursing mothers. My LP went from 8 days to 16 days at times. It was frustrating a bit b/c even a long LP didn`t mean I was pregnant.

I`ve heard that progesterone cream can also help, but I would really ask your doctor about that.
