Hi Everyone!!

Just wanted to get the June Thread started ASAP becasue I've got a ton of homework to do during my breaks tomorrow. So, I'm not going to have time to do it. I know that I still have some formatting things to update and need to add the newbies from the May thread. Take heart. I will get to the changes/additioins Monday or Tuesday.

Happy June!!

I was one of the newbies who joined late last month... AF is due today or tomorrow. Symptoms: sore and swollen BBs, visible veins on BBs, chest, and upper arms, very tired (actually sleepy - I slept like crazy this past weekend and feel I could keep right on sleeping LOL), had some cramping/ twinges post O...

My cycles are usually 26 to 29 days, more like 27 or 28, although last month AF was a week late ... Because of late AF last cycle, I decided to wait until Wednesday (CD 29) to test if AF hasn't shown by then. I am very confident with our timing this cycle and hoping to be an early June BFP. Please keep your fingers crossed and pray for me to get a BFP this week!!!

Baby Dust to everyone!!!

Thanks for the new thread, Fierrbug!!

I'm lurking hard. I haven't given up on TTC, but it's definitely on the back burner. I've added EPO to my supplement selections - didn't notice a difference last month, we'll see what this month looks like.

I've been lurking for quite awhile, when I was 3+, 6+, 9+ and now that I'm 12+ and suddenly looking at infertility testing *sigh* I thought I'd join and get into the community more. So, here I am. Nice to meet you gals.

Here's my info for the list:

TTC #1 since May 2008, miscarriage on Thanksgiving 2008. Still trying but getting bummed, now. I'm going to be 31 in September.

Hi, Ladies... Sorry for the delay in replying but it's been crazy around here

Yes, we did it "au naturale" because the RE never did find anything wrong so he was hesitant to put me on meds or anything... All we really did was use OPK's!!

Its so insane and surreal...I just can't believe it!! Please send sticky vibes my way and I'll definitely keep coming back to keep you ladies up to date!!

XOXO!!

I would like to join the group if I may. I went off BCP in April 07 (we had to take a couple months off TTC twice in the past 2+ years though, and a miscarriage last Aug. at 5 1/2 weeks) so it's been well over a year that we've been wishing and hoping for a baby to begin its journey into our lives. :

I am hoping it will happen very soon this time, we're starting up again as March was our last cycle TTC, so June is month 1 again (if you look at it like that) so I hope happens this or next month! I just can't wait! I want to hold my baby in my arms already!!!!!

So much stress, anxiety, tears, laughter and fear has come and gone for me, so bring on the happiness and joy! :

I started my OPK tests yesterday (should get a + in the next couple of days) so please keep your : and send baby dust and wishes my way.

Hello Ladies:

Julia'sMom: I love you. - and I'll take all of the dust you want to throw at my head.

Kiya: EPO is for longer lp's right? I really need to get back into the natural route again. I also need to go see my RE again and give in and do clomid. Darnit!!

To the newbies welcome - hope your stays are short and sweet - and speaking of that - tinynyota and lilviolet. CONGRATS!! Let me know when you'd like to be moved to the grads list.

: :

AFM: idk what cd I'm on - it's been 60++ days. 2009 is a weird year so far for my cycles. They just went insane. I think my body's trying to O - I've had some ovary pain in the last couple of days and I feel like I'm getting sick again - run down. So, that might mean that I'm fixing to O - or get really sick again. I'm tired of being sick. Therefore I refuse to be. That'll work, right?

How's everyone else?

EPO is supposed to support the cycle, overall, and to encourage better CM production. You are only supposed to take it for the first 14 days of your cycle (ie, up til ovulation) and then stop because it can cause an irritable uterus. I'm trying to stay on top of my Omegas, so I take fish oils for the rest of the cycle.

Leanne!! May your stay here be short & sweet!!

Hi fellow 12 months + ttc'ers. Well, here I am on 3 dpo of my 21st month ( about 18 cycles ) of ttc- cycle #3 of trying with donor sperm. And I am feeling a bit scared. Last night I hung out with a lot of friends I hadn't seen in a while and was catching them up on my situation. And as I was sharing that we are ttc with anonymous frozen donor sperm I found myself thinking- what the bleep am I doing? What kind of child might this produce? And I guess I am just nervous that when I finally have a baby this way that the child will be strange and messed up and that I don't know what I will get. It made me consider that if we don't get pg this cycle, maybe I will go back to trying to find a known donor.

As for the rest- 3dpo and nada, zilch. Have no idea.

I am wondering, I'm looking at the grads and I'm thinking, was it a natural BFP, or did most of our grads and grads w/ babies have to do IVF or Clomid at the very least, etc etc? I'm at 13 months of TTC #2 (lost #1) and I'm wondering if it's at that point it's just stupid to keep trying naturally, that I need to start getting medical intervention now... does anyone maybe want to volunteer their story?

I don't think it is stupid at all to keep trying naturally. But, have you had both yourself and your husband checked out and tested? We waited 14 months to do that and in retrospect I would have rather known our situation asap.

Love it!! Who do we ask to get it designed.

Katie: I think your fear is normal for anyone who's ttc - you just don't know what traits or genes you're going to end up with when everything is said and done. I think I would be just as apprehensive - because when you don't know them, you can't call and ask if Aunt Mildred had xyz. What kind of screening do they do for unknown donors? How do you get to choose them?

Ladies, I posted a question in Fertility for a friend of mine who has a polyp - if you have an experience w/ them or know anyone who has - would you please check it out and see if you can recommend anything for her: here. Thanks!!

AFM: going strong at cd84. Yep, I rock. : This is why I don't check ff that much anymore. It just gives me BAD news. I still have o pain - but dh injured his knee last weekend - so guess what we haven't been doing all week. My b-day is next weekend. 32. ugh. I really feel like I'm in a waiting period still. i just don't know what to do. Can't afford anything drastic right now because of the job situation.

How's everyone else doing?

:

Do get tested so that you know your unique situation. There are ways to address most concerns naturally - through supplements, teas, etc. but if you don't know what needs tweaking, you're flying blind or could be making the situation worse. I think our grads are a mixture of natural conception and medical intervention. For some of the ladies it was a small tweak in their treatment - the difference of adding a supplement or dtd on a different day. Everyone's situation is unique - but like Katie said - do get the hormone/cycle/morphology tests out of the way.

I just want to say that I did go the medical route, due to my situation. However, this is the place to be if you want to keep trying naturally or with alternative care as a lot of the grads did go that route. If you do decide to go all out western medicine, I'd recomment stopping over in the "Infertility" section as well as here as a lot of those ladies know all about the medical world. I agree that testing may help. The first they'll do would be bloodwork, u/s with perhaps a hsg for you and a SA for dh. Just make sure the testing is with someone qualified, as not all ob's are. Good luck!

After about one year TTC, DH and I went to a specialist and did all the tests but everything came back normal. So we were told that we could do IUI or IVF to speed things up... Those are not covered by my insurance so they were not an option at this time. So basically, we just continued to TTC using OPK's (and nothing else really) and we conceived the fourth month after the "unexplained infertility" diagnosis.

I would definitely get tested so that you can know what's going with you in particular.

Expecting #1 EDD 2/10/10... Conceived naturally after ttc for over one yr & diagnosed with unexplained infertility... IT'S A BOY!!!

Oh, no page 3 simply will not do for us.

Hope that everyone's having a wonderful week. I have a long postponed appt. w/ my RE tomorrow after work. I have had so much trouble w/ being sick and taking 14 pills a day - I'm just going to ask him if we can just skip clomid and start w/ IUI (or do a combo of the 2). Yes, I still need to get healthy again - but dh and I are just annoyed and tired w/ the semi-natural route. For us - for my problems it just doesn't work -or hasn't in the last oh, yeah EIGHT years. :

Anyway, we'll see what he says tomorrow . . .

Stopping by to spread some baby dust as well, and thank Tiara for taking over the thread! I was way too tired and nauseated to do anything once my morning sickness started. I am at 10 weeks and counting! ::
For those that are trying - I think it's good to find out what possible challenges you may face, so that you can adjust your strategy. We've tried for 18 months, and it turned out that my DH had low count and I had hypothyroidism, along with being completely clueless about my cycles. So we didn't use any fertility drugs, but I did start treatment for my thyroid, and we radically improved our diet and started charting. We got pregnant a couple months after. I definitely credit our new much healthier state for the BFP.
Hoping everyone else here gets one soon!

Marina: Thanks for the dust!! You know we'll take it!!

Dh and I had a very long talk about what our goals are for ttc the night before our appt. w/ the RE. We've decided to get aggressive because I'm not made for swallowing 14 pills a day. So, the RE pared down my daily pill intake and is starting over, by getting my immune system back up. Of course this also means that I'm taking the nifedipine again and that makes me feel like I have a hangover almost every day I take it. Headaches are awesome. We're again tta for the next 6 weeks and then we'll move toward IUI. That gives us 6 weeks to gather all of the injectibles - you'd think in a big metropolitan area that it would be easier to find things like human growth hormone and heparin than it is - we went to 2 pharmacies and called around to several more and may have to turn to the internet for some of them. We think that everything will cost around 3k - this includes office procedures and injectibles we'd need after a bfp. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense since I may not be employed in a few weeks - BUT since so much of my life has been put on hold for the what-if we get pg scenarios, I figured we're just not going to give into the 'but we can't afford xyz now so we're going to have to put it on hold'. I feel like so much of my life has been put on hold for the what-ifs. I took a class @ work the other day about the 7 habits of highly effective people and the first habit is to be proactive and to take responsibility for your life. It's huge and I'm embracing it. Plus, Dh is confident that we'll be ok no matter what.

How is everyone else doing?
