Hi Massaginmommy and everyone!

Can you please add me to the hopeful list??

I'm 41, with a beautiful 9yo dd already. I've been a single mom since she was 2, but now have a wonderful man in my life. He is the best parent already to my dd and we want to expand the family with a baby or two. Hoping to get married and dive in in the next few months. I can't wait!!

Thank you to all the other mamas for sharing your stories, it's so inspiring to read them!

so it really is AF now. spotting returned after 3 day gap, then became streaking and now bleeding.
what does this mean - AF showing up 7 days late??
I also tested this morning - BFN.
Was actually a relief - compared to reading all about "spotting early pregnancy" and "bleeding early pregnancy" - both of which apparently CAN happen in a normal pg too. but entirely too stressful for me to deal with.

so now i wonder ....
was I never pg and just got AF very late?
was I pg and had early m/c - which would at least mean that dh and I may still have a chance (was wondering if it was over for us)

as it is I am blaming myself for 1) having an O - the next day the streaking began.
2) exercising - though it wasn't more than 10 minutes, it was later that day that the streaking began.

so many thoughts ... if I had tested and gotten a BFP earlier, I am not sure I could have handled losing it. but then, of course i woudl have handled it, so many others do. of course then i would definitley be blaming myself for whatever i did that disturbed it.

oh well.
maybe i really should get back to taking my temperature. can try again later. or think about adoption.

Welcome Litmama

Shy sorry about af but just wanted to say having an orgasm and exercise will not cause a pregnancy to terminate. I exercised an hour a day during my pregnancy with my dd who recently turned 4. Neither orgasm nor exercise will have any effect on a healthy pregnancy. Of course there are exceptions but those don't really come into effect until later in the pregnancy. So I think you can rest assured that if it was an early loss nothing you did had anything to do with it.

Thank you Kristin0105, I really needed to hear that ...

maybe someone can also dissuade me from the irrational conclusion that posting on MDC put a jinx on it .... after i posted that AF was late, I started spotting. After I posted that the spotting disappeared for 3 days I started streaking, then bleeding. It makes NO SENSE that posting on MDC caused these things to happen. Thinking this way sets a bad example for my children (except of course she doesn't know about it hee hee. and second child is not with us yet )
And yet I am inclined to lurk from now on.

Hi everyone. :
I've been trying to decide if the swine flu outbreak is reason to wait on TTC. I'm overweight & type II DM... adding pregnancy to that might just be asking for trouble. I work in health care in a state with some major outbreaks.

I'll be 42 in March- the end of regular flu... I could use this time to get off some weight and increase my exersize. I hate to waste any of the fertile time I have left though. Is the flu scare a big hype? Bleh IDK

Anyone else worried?

Thanks!! And congrats on the dotted crosshairs! I just stopped BCP last month (after maybe a year) and started my first chart on FF. Can't wait to see those crosshairs! Although I can't start TTC for a few months (dp wants to wait until he's my dh).

O not yet detected, but I did have O pain and possibly a thermal shift (no EWCM). Love reading about all of your charting adventures. Fingers crossed for you, MM!

Welcome LitMama! What a lovely, lovey story! I hope your next little one comes soon.

MM, I hope your long cycle is your lucky cycle.

Lisa, I've thought about the swine flu some and what it might mean with pregnancies. Mostly I've come to the conclusion it's a big unknown and for me it wasn't a reason to wait. Pregnancy is diving into the unknown anyway, and I'm feeling that waiting has a big cost. But I'm not in the health care industry like you. And I see how for you waiting might have some benefits, too. I think the answer to this would be different for each of our individual cases and my main advice is to listen to your own heart and mama intuition on this. Sending you good wishes for that process. .

shy. I hope when the AF hormones fade some and the disappointment does too, you'll have more clarity.

AFM, I'm CD10. I need to get into the temping again.

Thanks Waturmama
Well FF moved my O date to cd35 and gave me solid crosshairs this morning. That means I am now 3dpo and waiting instead of 5dpo and waiting LOL. Our timing was better if this new date is right. Lets hope that if af is showing she waits another 9 to 10 days so I at least have a normal LP this cycle.
