babymango - I can totally relate to the busy/stressed DH issue. My DH is the same way, and while he won't want to wait to get pregnant because of stress, he will be too busy/stressed/tired to actually try.

arianascrunchymama - I hope you can find that peaceful place soon.

babygrey - I will be looking to see what advice you get. I've considered starting Vitex but this is one of the reasons I haven't yet...

yummama - yay for AF!

Kingsdaughter -

I've been sick for the last three days and disturbed my temps as such because I suspect they are high because of being sick. (My DD has had the same thing for a week, plus an ear infection since the middle of the week, and her temp has been high all week). Anyway, today TCOYF gave me an ovulation as if the temps were real, even though I disturbed them. I really don't think I ovulated because I never had a +OPK and because I still have fertile CF and CP, but it still throws me off a bit to see that egg on the software.

Hi, can I join in? I've on my 7th cycle ttc, while bfing (often!) my 13 1/2 month old dd. I am 42, so hoping for a sooner rather than later bfp. I am currently just taking extra b's along with prenatals and efa's. I tried vitex for a few cycles, but didn't like how it made me feel : ( I am probably o-ing today, so you can put me in 2WW Here's my chart http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/25f6d6 Congrats to all the bfps this month! I hope a couple more can sneak in under the wire ; )

nia82- Hugs!-I had a chemical pg a few cycles back. I was a few days late, got pos hpts, then a bfn. Then, had intense cramping followed by much heavier/longer AF than is my normal. In my case, my cycle before had an lp of only 7 days, so I think my body just wasn't quite ready. The positive is that everything is working and you can get pregnant. I've read that many bfp's don't stick much past implantation, we can just find out so quickly these days that we know about them, where in days past, we'd just think AF was late.
babygrey- I took vitex for several cycles. I felt like it decreased my supply a little bit, and made me feel very hormonal- sad, grumpy, etc. I think that probably had to do with decreasing prolactin levels, though- not sure. It did help me, though, get to o-ing. With my ds, I didn't get ppaf back until 18 months, and wasn't o-ing for a long time. With dd, this time, I got ppaf back at 6 months pp and started o-ing after the first 2 cycles, and now have pretty much regulated cycles at 13 months pp. Obviously, I can't say for sure if it was the vitex, though.

Hey Mommas! Just a quick update on myself... I was having sore nipples a little over two weeks ago which lasted for a few days. I was guessing it either had to do with a latch issue with DD's new teeth she sprouted over Christmas or ovulation. Well, my husband and I have been increasing our raw foods intake and also started growing wheatgrass to add to our veggie/fruit juices. This morning was the first time we added wheatgrass, and around 3pm I started feeling nausea/headache. I've read that this was a side effect of the wheatgrass, but then I just went to the bathroom and TMI but there was an abundance of pink tinged mucus. I am hoping this is the beginning of my first ppaf!!! If so, I am sooo excited! hahaha. Just wanted to share that - I will come back when I have more hands and catch up on what is going on with all of you.

Fingers crossed for all of you in the 2ww!

Katie

GL, Katie--that sounds very promising! Sore nipples does seem to be one of the best signs that PPAF is on her way!

Deb, I was a little sick around O time last cycle, also. It made my temp shift look seriously dramatic! It all still lined up with positive OPK and other signs, though. I hope you feel better quickly and catch that egg.

GL to everyone in the TWW!

Still waiting to O around here... CD 17. No sore nipples yet, which has been my strongest sign in the last few months. For others who have sore nipples around O, did that continue consistently, or did it just happen in your immediately PP cycles?

I will be leaving the 2WW very soon, but I expected AF today and she is not here. I am feeling very positive about this month, even though the timing wasn't great. But my temps are still up and I see a possible implantation dip there.

http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/2b0f68

I don't feel pregnant at all. The only pregnancy sign I have is Faye's comment on my spicy breastmilk. I'm afraid to take a test, because I don't want it to be negative. But the longer I wait, the harder it will be on me if it is negative.

Good luck to everyone else in the 2WW!!!

Narn, that is a lovely looking chart.Hope it's a BFP for you.

I still don't know what's going on with me.Here's my chart: http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/186327

I'm waiting on my internet cheapie tests to turn up in the mail. I think if I was feeling pregnant I would have gone out and bought a test. But with the BFN on the digital at 13 dpo, I really don't expect a bfp. Also, although there's a temp shift, the temps just aren't that high compared to before my last pregnancy.
However, I did search the charts and there are some that look like mine.At least if I'd had a ppaf I'd have some idea of what's going on. It is so hard to be patient. I've tried vitex, but it doesn't seem to have brought on AF yet, but who knows, maybe soon?I'm also on Maca, hoping it'll help too.

Sundaya, I'm 43, so I'm feeling a bit impatient too. I did read in the newspaper about a mother who was 65 and had 2 daughters, aged 13 and 15, and it definately wasn't through IVF as she was from a small village in New Guinea. It gives me a little hope - I know it isn't the norm, but I'm not giving up yet!

Narn~ Good luck! Keep us posted!

Gumblossom~ Hang in there while you wait for the cheapies! It's SO hard to wait isn't it!?!?!?

Here is my chart: http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/128814

I am pretty sure I am Oing TODAY.....so whoever said that they were Oing today we can wait together and maybe get some BFP's together!!

I never had a positive OPK before....so that's the biggest red flag for me. That and this morning when I went to the bathroom I got a HUGE gob of EWCM...seriously...I know it's TMI but WHOA!! LOL!!!

Tomorrow should be my temperature rise....so hopefully it shows! I don't think I can take much more BDing this cycle!! I'm so tender and sore! LOL! I definitely need a little break in that department!

Anyway, will keep checking back mamas!

Goin crazy here guys!

My temp didn't go up yet!? WTH!? I got a pos. OPK, not to mention COPIOUS amounts of EWCM.....my temp was totally in the "pre O" state. So does that mean TODAY is O day? I can't figure this out!

It might make sense that it's going to be today or something, because I have a feeling that maybe I've been Oing a lot later than I expected, therefore missing the BDing on the "right" days.... I don't know.

I'm gonna go use a few more OPK's today and see what they say. I've never really had any pos. OPK's before cuz I've never really used them.....but I'm curious if I happen to be one of the women who get pos. OPK's for a few days or something.

Yes, from what I understand, pos OPK, O, then temp goes up. But I've never used OPKs before.

AFM, I took a preg test last night. I must not have peed on the stick long enough because it took a full ten minutes for the urine to reach the window and give me a control line. But once it did it was clearly positive. Still technically an invalid result. I'm going to take another this evening once I get to the store to buy it.

Tara, I use opks a lot. I've had two days go by after the pos opk day before getting a temp rise. If you hit the very beginning of your lh surge, then it might not end until the next day. I think you o something like 0-48 hours after your positive opk, so if you got it yesterday, today would probably be your o day, but possibly even tomorrow, and it could have been yesterday, and your temp should go up tomorrow, but it could even be the next day. Does that make sense? Just keep bding until you see that temp rise, because the day before your temp goes up is your best day, and you don't know that until after the fact. Everything always makes sense after the fact, in ttcing.

Tara, I use OPKs a lot too and though this is my first cycle temping along with using OPKs, I agree that you need to wait another day or two to see the rise. It may not be evident right away either if it climbs slowly at first. I usually get two days of positives (probably because I test 3 times a day when I know it's getting close). Here's my chart this month: http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/1de026 It took a few days from that first + for FF to recognize a rise.

Narn, congratulations!! There have been a few BFPs since I last checked in here and that's so exciting!!!

AFM, I'm 8 dpo and getting pretty anxious to test. I stupidly did this morning and of course it was neg. I should wait a few more days but I know I'll be testing every morning now (or more) until AF shows. LP has been 9 days at the longest since my cycles came back 4 months ago. This cycle I am trying B6 and NPC so we'll see if that makes a difference. Even if I'm not preg, I'll be happy with a longer LP. Then I'll try to work on moving O up. Waiting 21-23 days is killer.

Is anyone else testing in the next few days?

Happy mumma to my boys Henny Tom (Nov 30, 2008), Arlo Odie (Oct 5, 2010), and baby SISTER! due mid-Dec 2014.

Congrats, Narn!

I took some tylenol last night about 10 hours before I temped this morning, and my temp was back to below the coverline. I don't think the tylenol that much before would have brought it down, so I am even more sure I didn't ovulate (and very happy about it, since we didn't get much a chance to try in beforehand). My CF is moving from EW to creamy, though, which makes me think I'm winding back down again. I really thought this time might be it because I had EWCF for so long. Bummer.

I have my annual exam tomorrow, and I'm planning to ask about this super long cycle. Do you think it would be helpful to bring charts, or will it make me look like a "high-maintenance" patient? I've never seen this doc before, so I'm not sure what he'll be like, except that every person who has seen him highly recommends him, especially for natural birth and helping breastfeeding get off to a good start.

Just as I was making peace with being anov and having to wait it out a bit longer- FF gave me crosshairs today! They're dotted and the temp spike isn't that impressive, plus I know if my temp drops tomorrow, it wasn't real, but still- WDYT? I dunno, my other fertility signs don't match up...
http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/2c383d
(btw, zwitterion, thanks for the thoughts on my first really low temp, I discarded it)

I'm excited, but also kinda not b/c if that was O, our BD timing wasn't great. I know theoretically, sperm can live for 5+ days, but TCOYF says only a few HOURS w/o fertile CM and I certainly had NO fertile CM the day we BD'd prior to O...
The only four day BD break we take all month b/c I'm making peace with being anov and I go and O! Oh, the irony!

zwitterion- I'd take your charts. I don't think it makes you look high maintenance.
KingsDaughter76- woohoo! crossing fingers for your 2ww

Hi all

Babygrey- fx for you. I'd be relieved if I just O'd by now, so hope you did. Let go and things happen, isn't that what they say? I can't tell you how many times i have gotten a few high temps, even 6-7 and turns out to be a false O, but no idea how/why my body would have temp shift anyway... doesn't mean it's not real for you this time, though. So we shall see...

zwitterion- yes take your charts, please. what a shame we live in an era or situation that women have to feel intimidated or worry what sharing true knowledge on their cycles will intimidate their care providers who will then scoff at them or cop an attitude about the women having knowledge of their own bodies... you seen the appendix at end of TCOYF book, she has a cut out chapter for the docs to read... tells them like it is. LOL.

kingsdaughter- i have followed your progress since last endless frustrating cycle and am happy for you that you are on your way!

Narn- yes take another, but in my experience if it's a case of not enough p, it turns clear BFP when you add more it is real... happened with my pg with DD. anyway, a tentative congratulations!?

Not neglecting anyone else, just don't want to post too much right now. If I O'd today, as all signs point to I should see a temp spike tomorrow. If not, I will let you know to move me to waiting to be ready, because if no O this time, I just want to ride it out until first PPAF without worrying about TTC... too frustrating.

So now I'm totally confused. Maybe one of you mommas can clue me in on what signs you had that your PPAF was on the way or whatever...

Last night after I had the pink spotting I wore a panty liner. There was a little bit more that evening, but really not too much. I woke up in the middle of the night to pee, nothing. And today, NOTHING. I thought for sure something more would be happening today, but nada. My temp is the same today as it was yesterday, so no change there. I think my chart may almost be confusing me more than helping me at this point, as I don't have a consistent wake time and some days I am moving around too much for it to make sense for me to temp, so I have a lot of days with no info... I know all that I can do is wait, I just got so excited for something new to be happening! Maybe my body is having false starts. Patience, right?

babygrey: I don't want to burst your bubble, but im really not sure you've O'ed. You only have two values above your coverline, which has happened before. I would wait to see what your temp is tomorrow before feeling too optimistic. If you had had nice fertile CM, i wouldn't be doubting FF...

Narn: Congrats!!! Let us know once it's confirmed... I would have been in agony, waiting 10 minutes for that urine to get to the window. I would have wanted to just shake the test or something!

zwitterion: bring the charts. You'll get a feeling once you're there, you'll know whether to take them out or not. At least you'll have them with you!

Kingsdaughter: yay for Oing. How are you feeling about your chances?

Jessiebird: Keeping my fingers crossed for you. 8dpo is early, but im sure i would have poas'ed too!

sundaya: "everything makes sense after the fact in TTCing", I like that. SO true!

xtara: Before being pregnant, i would get 3 days of +opk, one before, one on O day, one the next day. This cycle i only got one on O day (and an almost + the day before) It sounds like this was the real deal for you with all that EWCM. Keep us posted!

So do you think I COULD have O'd yesterday (the day I got the pos. OPK) even though I didn't get a temp rise this morning?....just going off of the HUGE amount of EWCM and the major cramping, bloated, yucky full feeling? Today I do NOT have that feeling at all.....it totally went away?....and we tried BDing TWICE today and my poor husband feels too much performance anxiety so let's just say it is NOT working! He told me we could try again tonight..but I'm afraid that if I O'd today it would have been earlier and the egg wouldn't be quite as viable or something.

We started BDing a bit too early this cycle...so we are both pretty exhausted in that department....so I'm just very curious if you can O and then get a temp rise a day or two later?

Anyway..will be back more tonight to check everyone else's charts and such! G2g for now!!!

Katie, the signs I had just before my first PPAF were bloating and my toddler complaining about the taste of my breastmilk. That's it.

I just took another test and immediately saw my BFP! You can add me to the last of January's success stories!

Narn - again I say yippee!!

CrunchyKatie - My first PPAF was simply a day or two of glorified spotting (that's what all my PPAFs thus far have been like). I would have been hesitant to call it AF except that I had a beautiful temp rise and fall just before it indicating ovulation and a 7 day LP. Perhaps that really was AF for you?

xtara2003x - What would be most telling, IMO, is your CF and CP. Did they become less fertile? If so, when?

Tara2 - I hope you did O! I know this waiting game is miserable. I'm not strong enough to back away for a little while--more power to you!

I will take my charts tomorrow. I have them printed up and in my diaper bag ready to go. Thanks for your input! If he seems receptive to that, I may ask about vitex, maca, or anything else he thinks might help.

I have a charting question for you experts. I know you are supposed to mark your most fertile CF of the day on your chart, but I'm not sure how to handle the CF I've seen the last few days. I have mostly creamy, but sometimes (once or twice a day) there is a very small bit of EWCF mixed in. I'm not sure if that's enough to count it as EWCF on my chart. Any ideas?

Deb, crunchier-than-I-expected-to-be mama to my beautiful DD (07/2008), forever missing my October 2010 and January 2011 angels

I just took another test and immediately saw my BFP! You can add me to the last of January's success stories!
Arg! so jealous. I checked your chart, only 1 BD before O time and you caught the egg, what luck! I am trying much harder than that and not having luck. Mother nature is so fickle. Congrats though!!
