ummmm, what just happened to my chart??

I plugged in my temp this morning, and FF moved my crosshairs from CD21 back to CD12. Why would it do that?? This is my first time charting at all, so is that a normal thing to happen? Completely blows my chances this month, if so...

Edited to link to chart: http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/2d07d8

Congrats MamaFern! SO exciting!

AFM - Please move me to the TWW. FF gave me crosshairs for the first time so I'm excited for that. However I'm confused as to why my temp has been hovering around the coverline since o'ing. DD is nursing a lot more at night suddenly (teething). Could this have anything to do with it?

Congrats mamafern.

KingsDaughter: Did she completely wean herself, or did you encourage her at all? I would LOVE for DS to wean, but he freaks out every time I tell him he can't nurse. I have no idea how to gently encourage him to wean.

The only thing I did was gently encourage her to nightwean a few months ago...because she was waking up all night long to nurse and I was TIRED! lol! It only took 2 days and she only fussed a little but took a sippy cup of water instead for me. I have done nothing since that...she has just been kindof dropping off her nursing sessions one by one over the past few months...just not asking to nurse. Eventually last month she had quit asking to nurse at all during the day preferring instead to just stick her hand down my shirt...lol! She was only asking to nurse at bedtime...which is what I kept doing up until this week when she just stopped wanting to nurse at bedtime..instead wanting to rock and stick her hand down my shirt. This has continued for the past several days...last night she wanted DH to put her to bed and rock her instead of me...I was floored! She no longer ask to nurse now- just wants to sometimes put her hand down my shirt and touch my boob...which is weird and funny...rofl! I was planning to keep nursing her till she was 2 offically...or even beyond if she wanted to...but she has decided otherwise. :-)

I had a m/c at about 6 weeks (didn't develop past 4.5 weeks) in December. Waited one cycle to TTC. Then 2 BFNs. Had shorter cycle than usual (usually 32, now only 29) and only 10-day luteal phases with during 2 BFN cycles. Don't want my LP was before. Also for 2 BFNs, timed intercourse. We conceived #1 on first try, so all this is very frustrating, and depressing.

Could the short LP be due to my m/c (still?) or nursing? I still nurse my 2-yr-old ... a lot.

(I'm meeting with OB tomorrow and think I will start taking some B6 supplements.)

Lolo- The luteal phase can definitely be from the nursing. It happens a lot I think. It is extremely frustrating! I know how you feel.

Logan -- Thanks. I was afraid of that, and knew nothing about it until now. I was hoping DD would just decide to wean on her own when I became pregnant. Do you know if progesterone cream can help. I don't want to wean, but I will if I have to because I'm older than 35 and don't want time to run out....

Lolo- Well I never tried it last time and it took me a while to conceive. Last cycle I tried the proper progesterone treatment, not the cream, and my LP was 8 days!!! I was shocked. So I would say give it a try. But Im not very impressed.....The cream is way less potent so I dont know. I guess its better than nothing though. Maybe you should give it 6 months then wean if you want to. But at least you know that you gave it a shot and your baby will be older and maybe feeding less as well.

thanks again. I don't know if she'll be feeding less then .... I think she nurses as much now as she does a year ago, when she was 1. I might try weaning her if B6 and/or progesterone don't work in a month or 2.

Hi, Ladies! Well, my chart looks annovulatory until day 26 where FF put my O date. Even tho it looks right, I swear that I O'd on day 17. Those Dollar Tree tests keep coming back negative, but I'm going to keep on testing til I get a BFP or AF comes to visit. Wishing everyone else luck this cycle, too.

Hi Mamas

I've been stalking this thread for a while and have a quick question (well, another quick question: http://www.mothering.com/discussions....php?t=1203771).

If you're anovulatory, are your cycles pretty regular? I was under the impression that if you weren't ovulating they were all over the place. I have a 12 month old, nursing 4-5 times a day, had regular cycles since September, and TTC since January. I was keeping track of CM to assess ovulation because I'm up in the night and generally don't temp at the same time and often don't have a 3 hour stretch of sleep (sigh). I started temping this cycle based on advice from other mamas in this forum, but my chart is all over the place (I temped before conceiving my daughter and it was textbook, unlike this one).

Can anovulatory cycles be regular?

Camille~

Congrats on the BFP mamafern!

Well, AF arrived. BUT the good news is that I had a full 10 day LP! Woohoo!! Since AF returned several months ago I've started spotting 10 dpo. What's funny is that I've tried progesterone cream and b6 to help lengthen it, but this month I forgot to buy more b6 and I didn't use the prog cream and my LP was still longer.

Back to waiting to O, please.

crayfishgirl~your chart link doesn't go anywhere but the main page on ff. If your temps all kinda look constant up and downs and erratic then it's probably annovulatory.

hannybanany~ on af showing up.

Congrats mamafern!

I got an appointment for a fertility specialist today!I asked for the referral a week & a half ago & the appointment is for April 6th - so a month from now. What an improvement over the 14 month wait I am on for the other doc in the city. I am so excited - I feel like I've been so stalled on this whole thing.

I know bfing can prevent return of af but is it really possible for someone to have to completely stop bfing for af to return? Ds now bf's 3-5 times a day with at least one 8 hour chunk overnight but still no sign of af. He's been on this type of "schedule" for a couple months now.

Surviving sleep deprivation one day at a time with dd (Oct '11) & ds (Oct '08).

been mia. we're going thru a computer-fixing stage after a nasty power surge. Frustrating how dependent we become on the little boxes Will be in and out for a bit until we have the beast up and running for good, just wanted to check in.

congrats mamafern!!

hanny- hugs on AF, but yay on the LP. That's great your body did it without any extra help. FX this'll be your month.

lifeguard- I'm new to the ttc while bf'ing, but, from what I've read, some women DO have to completely wean to conceive- not the majority, but not unheard of. Hope that's not the case for you. Glad you got an appt in the near future.

wembles- I'm new to charting, too, but looked at your chart and your other signs look more promising for O ~cd21. Are the temps around CD12 inaccurate? Maybe that's affecting what FF thinks? FX that you didn't miss your chance.

Bringing me to AFM...
I think we MISSED IT this month!?!? I posted on the main board, but my chart looks like I O'd on CD9. CD NINE. Seriously?!?! My CBFM was still reading "low", plus I had just gotten back from traveling and it was brutal, so skipped DTD right after I got home bc I just so wasn't in the mood and didn't think I was in the window yet, anyway. Honestly, I'm feeling so frustrated. I have to bring :AF along on my trip and then I MISS my O when I return? gah.

Pre-DD I NEVER O'd before CD17-20, so this whole short cycle thing is blowing me away. Any Vitex users on here? Could Vitex be moving my O date THAT early? Last month, CD12, this month CD9?!? (I also had a bunch of endo surgically removed in the fall, so perhaps this is healthy for me?) Look at my post on the main board for details, but I'm so upset

If I'm out this cycle, we're skipping the next one bc of the xmas baby thing. double ugh.

Don't move me yet. I haven't come to terms. Plus, maybe my temps are wrong and my fertility monitor is right?? It is reading me High fertility right now. How in the world could I O on CD9?? sheesh.

Tangent ?- is there anything wrong with early O? Should I be considering cutting the Vitex to make my O later?

okay, fx for everyone in their tww and hugs to everyone who AF found.
I'll be in as much as my blinky box lets me.

Babygrey, I'm sorry! That must be really frustrating.

Lifeguard, that's great news! I hope this doc is helpful.

on AF, Hanny, but yea on the 10 day LP! I'm hoping to see one of those one of these days.

AFM, 6dpo and nice high temps! DH has a nasty cold, though, so I'm really hoping DS and I avoid getting in.

Getting a little down about this cycle. Maybe all of these symptoms that I've been feeling have all been in my head, or just abnormally difficult PMS. In my opinion, I'm 15 DPO today, and still no positive test. Anyone have bad luck with Dollar Tree tests? I just hate to fork over the dough for a FRER to see a BFN. That's depressing. We might try next cycle to conceive that Solstice baby, but my last baby was two weeks past the due date and so if the next followed suit, it would more likely be a January baby...which seems not as neat to me to be born after the hoopla of Christmas than before.
I think that I may stop TTC if next cycle doesn't take, and resign myself to having one baby. Maybe that's just more managable for my family. A little sad, but my husband and I don't get along that well and we have a lot on our plates already. Would it be fair to add another little one to the mix? I've been contemplating that very thought for a long time. Anyway, time will tell...I'll keep you posted.

Congrats mamafern.

I am finally feeling hopeful. I asked the intuitive (the new forum in spirituality) if I will have another child, and this was her answer this morning:

"There is a baby girl energy around you. Just waiting in the wings for when you decide you are ready. It's completely up to you about when. When you do feel the timing is right, simply say a prayer to let her know that you are ready as a family to accept her in. Let her know that your body is ready to nuture her and grow her. When you are intimate with your partner state in your head that now is the time to come into the family. She will."

I feel AF coming on again - the usual AF cramping that starts around now (5 dpo) - yet I am feeling hopeful because of her response.

Mom to DS 12/07 and DD 11/13, plus a bunch of chickens, dogs, and cats.

Moving past many years of infertility and always thinking of my friends in the infertility forums.

Hi everyone! I'm not actively TTC yet, but hope to in the summer. So I guess I'd say Im
Waiting to Be Ready. I've had AF back for a few cycles now and my LP is short (about 9 days). I think I'm going to start a B-complex with 50mg B6, and try to reduce night nursing to 1-2x per night. Hopefully that will do the trick, I'll keep you all posted. I'm hoping I won't have to night wean entirely as DS2 is pretty into it. Keep us updated on what works for you fellow short LPers .

Congrats to all of you who got BFPs this month! Just reading all your posts is making me so excited. So glad to be on this journey will all you wonderful ladies!
