We're trying to concieve number 4. We've never even had to try with the last few...they just pop up like clock work every two years, but this baby doesn't seem to be coming. We've never used Birth control...just NFP and ecological breastfeeding. I am 36 now so I think maybe it's just my age. I know I'm still fertile, but I read that fertility decreases at my age but up to 50% sometimes. I'm trying no to feel sad or panicky....

I do have a question. The last few cycles, as soon as I feel what I think is a menstrual sympton (lower pack twinges, bloating, headaches, etc), I assume it's all over and I'm not pregnant. Has anyone thought they're period was going to start, had all the signs and symptoms, only to find out that they're actually pregnant? I'm thinking if I were pregnant that my body wouldn't have any of the menstrual signs?? I just want to know if I should remain hopeful those days before I actually start bleeding?

Every time I have been pregnant (3 times) I have felt AF coming on. I also have insisted that I was definitely NOT pregnant...only to realize I indeed was. There is always hope as long as AF doesn't show! And even hope when she does show sometimes!

I don't have any AF symptoms but I have always heard that AF symptoms and early pregnancy symptoms are basically the same thing.

Thanks everyone! Your replies sure do give me hope! We're just starting a new cycle so here we go again! We'll see!

Amanda, thanks for relating. It's true that you should never take your fertility for granted! I've been humbled. Truly! I thought that infertility was something that happened to other people. I was just confident that I would never have that problem since I have three children in a row like clock I said, I've been humbled and maybe that's good for me.

Wish me luck!

With my son I swore AF was on her way. I told hubby we were out at like 10dpo and sure enough got a BFP 2 days later. I continued to think she was coming until like 6 weeks. Felts bloated and crampy.
