Thanks Callie!

Nervous today, 11DPO, no spotting, still cramping. I guess it can still go either way at this point. Temp was still up, so that's good, but this cramping seems like AF is on the way.

Mollie - I'm glad your temps are still up and everything. I'm still holding out hope that you'll get your BFP.

musicoholic - I can't believe I haven't asked this yet, but how are you involved in music? Are you a professional musician? A teacher? Both? My husband teaches middle school band and he also plays in a big band. I hope you O right on time this month!

AFM - Continued spotting today. I just checked my cervix and (sorry, way TMI) there was a ton of blood up there. I'm so tired of it.

I'm glad we're doing the HSG next cycle, but I really wonder if there's any point to me taking Clomid/Estraidol/Prometrium again next cycle. If I still started spotting at 7 dpo, what's the point of it? I guess I'll see how long my LP turns out this time. Once this cycle ends, I'll email my RE and let her know what's been going on so I can get her opinion on whether I should do the meds again.

's Callie, I feel so bad for you. I was hoping you'd have better results on a medicated cycle. Hopefully the RE will have good advice for you.

I go back & forth, thinking I could be & then thinking I better put a pad on. I hate this, I hate not knowing for sure.

Test was a BFN today too .

i don't know what is up with AF this month! normally i get 5 fun-filled days of heavy, heavy, medium, light, light. this week i got some spotting sunday (like barely anything noticeable), full on heavy monday and tuesday, light wednesday and now nothing. it turns me on my head b/c i had a very wonky AF before i found out was pregnant with ds2 and according to U/S dates i was pregnant when i thought i wasn't (b/c AF had shown up)! and of course, i had him smack in between what i THOUGHT was my conception due date and my adjusted u/s due date.
i hope that makes sense...

tjjazzy - that happened to me in March. I had a cycle, my temps dropped, and had what I thought was AF (heavy bleeding for several days, then got lighter). I even took meds for the next cycle, since all my tests were negative. I took an OPK on what I thought was CD 8 of a new cycle, and it was very, very positive. So I took an HPT for fun, and it was positive! Sadly, it ended in my miscarriage though.

So, I'd take a test if I were you!

Thank you, it devastated me, I'm still hurting emotionally from it. It's made me even more determined to have another. I'm very cautious and jaded now. I don't get my hopes up anymore.

I hope you can get a test, that you get a BFP!

Hi Gals-
I am hoping to join your thread. I am 34 TTC #4. I have 2 teens from a previous marriage. I was VERY young and had no problems conceiving or carrying my babes. I remarried in 04'. We got RE help as we quietly TTC before about 2 years w/ no luck. We had male factor that was fixed YEAH!!! We had 6 m/c ( only 1 chromosomal) all were unexplained. I quit seeing RE as all he would offer is IVF w/PGD. Which I thought was ridiculous as we were conceiving just no holding a pregnancy. I began a lot of research on Eastern medicine and other theories on infertility. I finally conceived 18 month later and gave birth to DD#2. I seem to be having p4 problems while pg. I went to acupuncturist and had a very positive OB that got me through 9 long months. I m/c again this past May. It was a blighted ovum (first one ever so I do not know if that was a good sign or bad). So here we are TTC again. I hope that wasn't TMI. Just wanted to give a little BG.

I O on CD17 this month. Before last m/c my AF were 29d religious. Now I am any where from 21 to 35 days. UUUGGG!!! I usually O on CD 14 (before May). Funny thing the last 2 PG's were late O CD as I was ill and it caused me to O late. I have been dealing w/ allergies/cold this month so I do not know if this causing the late O or not. I did start AF CD 32 this past month.

Hoping maybe you ladies can share some insight. It has been a while since I was actively TTC and have forgotten a lot of info.

showuhorns - to the thread! I'm so sorry to hear about your losses. I had a miscarriage in May too, I was 10 weeks. My first ever, hopefully my last. I have 6 children, 3 boys (from my 1st marriage), and 3 girls, and then our angel baby.

I had no problems conceiving any of them, and got diagnosed with PCOS/insulin resistance last November. I started young with mine too, I'm also 34 - had my first at 16, and he's now 17 years old, and an incredible young man.

Do you have a chart? And there's no suchthing as TMI on the TTC threads . We need all the details we can get!

How many days "should" AF dpo? I could never get my OB to commit on an answer. With DD#2 I O on CD19 and it took me 4 ( 2 HPT and 1 qualitative and 1 Dr urine before BFP a BETA at Dr#3) ( I knew right away I was). 2 different Dr's told me I was not. I have been suspicious for awhile somehow this connected to my RC m/c.

MommaLove were you on the DEC babies thread while pg. You seem so familiar.
Thank you for your "empathy" I say empathy as only if you have a loss can you understand the pain. I too am sorry for your loss.

I thought I was over the 6 previous but lately it has been weighing heavy on my mind. The loss in May seemed way to easy for me. My husband was more upset than me. We were not trying at the time. But now that we had the loss it seems like it is time if we are going to have another. I was VERY ill with the last m/c I think I must have been toxic. I started p4 so therefore I did not m/c naturally. I started getting cluster migraines and would vomit for days straight I am talking every 10 min for like 7 days. I was about to be hospitalized. I even went to the ER at 8 weeks because I was having ab pains. Finally at 10 weeks I had a u/s and discovered it was a blighted ovum. My Dr was shocked as my numbers were awesome. He did not even expect a problem.
I think being so ill almost made me relieved that it was over. I had more guilt of not mourning the loss then mourning the loss.
My friend just had ectopic and she is amazed that I am still sane after all the losses. But the truth is I think it has lead to lasting depression. I have gain 50 lbs in the last 5 years. I had lost a lot of that after DD#2 but recently gained about 15. All since May!!! So I think it effects a lot more than I even realize.

Yes, I was in the DDC for a bit, too short of a stay unfortunately. I never got a reason for my M/C, just "bad luck". I had 2 U/S's in my 6th week, saw the heartbeat at 153 BPM, and then my baby died the week after that, but I didn't find out til my 10th week.

Wow, that sounds really scary what you went through. I'm so glad you're OK . I can see how it would be confusing whether to morn the loss or not, and/or have relief that it was over. This whole process is so emotionally taxing, isn't it?

Hey there I'm back in the throws of the 2WW. After Femara CD 1-4, I had two eggs (cd11) Oct 29th (measuring 2.2 and 1.8) and got an injection of 5,000 IU's of HCG Hopefully ovulated as planned over Halloween weekend!

So I just ordered a bunch of strip tests off ebay and will start testing late next week.

welcome showurhorns Hope your stay is short and sweet!

I noticed we only had one BFP in October...hopefully a bunch more this month!

Kinda both... I used to do a lot of performing (piano in restaurants, orchestral and band stuff, singing in niteclubs... that kind of thing) - now I'm happy to be in the classroom It's a bit different over here, we don't often (depending on the school) have band as a specific subject (which I think is a shame, and why I'm introducing it at my current position! ); so I teach everything (theory, history, analysis, harmony, band, choirs, private lessons etc etc etc). Love my job!!

Actually, I'll share a couple of "quotes of the week" from my students in the last couple of days... Just 'cause they crack me up. I love my kids...

#1
"Miss, could you explain that again please? I don't speak music."

#2
Student: Miss, did you always want to be a music teacher?
Me: No, I was going to be a concert pianist, but my wrists are shot.
Student: What's a concert penis?

I'm still having visions of a large pole-type thing on two beanbags dancing across a stage...........................

Hi! I guess I should join you guys - I'm 38 and we're TTC #2. DD is nearly 5 and we haven't used any bc since she was 3, but we weren't really *trying* before. The main problem we have is that DH is on a moderate dose of effexor, an antidepressant, that has side-effects that include inability to ejaculate and decrease in libido. Sooooo it's not as simple as "have sex when you ovulate" for us. Also, I think my fertility is starting to diminish - my cycles have gone weird in the last six months - shorter cycles, shorter periods, but I seem to ovulate earlier in my cycle so I don't think I have any luteal phase defect or anything. Anyway, at this point I think it will take a lot of "work" and a minor miracle, but here's hoping, right? Any prayers or good thoughts & vibes are more than welcome.

I don't have a thermometer for taking temps - what's a good one to get?

Good vibes sent. Any thermometer that says BBT should suffice. Make sure it has a backlight and hopefully, saves your last temp.

Joining the thread... I'm Heather, 31 years old, TTC #3. I have 2 daughters from my first marriage - ages 9 and 7. It took 13 months to conceive #1, then #2 was quick, but a very difficult delivery that left my uterus scarred in 3 directions. The drs told me that I may not be able to conceive again. I was fine with that for many years, but my husband has no kids of his own and though he insists that he's fine if we're not able to have one together, it's something we both really want.

We've been trying for 10 months and have had one miscarriage. I'm currently at 20dpo, 6 days past AF. No spotting, no cramping, nothing. I've been queasy for a week and am completely exhausted, which is unusual. I took a test the day AF was due and it was negative. Planning to take another later today, once we get paid.

My dh has the same issue with his antidepressant causing decreased libido and inability to ejaculate. He switched meds last month temporarily, before going back to the original, and during October was able to ejaculate much more regularly, so we're hoping that had a positive effect on our TTC.

Hi Heather and Spughy! Welcome to the thread and s to both of you. It sounds like you both have some TTC hurdles to overcome. Sending lots of your way.

Mollie - Your temp didn't plunge at least! I'm still hoping for you.

AFM - Yesterday afternoon when I went to the bathroom, I had some bright red bleeding and it pushed me over the edge. I emailed my RE and told her about it and asked if there was anything we could look at now, while the spotting is taking place, to figure out what's going on. She emailed me back and told me to go in at 7:30 this morning for an ultrasound.

The ultrasound was with a different RE (my RE is only in that office once every week or two, I think). She said my lining looked good at 1 cm. She could see fluid in the uterus, which she said is probably blood, since I'm spotting. She also checked my ovaries, and said it looked like I may have ovulated 3 eggs this month (uh, woah!).

I'm waiting to hear back from my RE to find out what her take is on all of this and to see where we need to go from here.

In addition to all this, my temp dropped below the coverline today (though it was a sleep deprived temp). My temp has never dropped below the coverline before AF, so that's weird... but I wouldn't be surprised if AF showed today.

I'll update after I hear back from the RE.

Did she say what the blood was from? Did she think it was from AF about to start (gosh I hope not!!)? And whoa at 3 eggs !! Ugh, sorry your temp dropped . Nothing's ever easy, is it ?

I had a restless night last night, and was up at 5 am because DH's pager went off, and never got back to sleep. So, I'm hoping my temp dip was from that. I used the temp corrector, but I don't know how accurate that is. Guess we'll know more tomorrow.

Hi Lakin24 and Spughy!

Mollie- With my DD#2 my temps dip too. But than rebounded after 2 days. I wonder if it is progesterone problem that causes the dip? Do you have known progesterone problems? I do and swear this causes my low temps. I below normal almost always. Keep hope until AF shows her ugly face there is no reason to lose your enthusiasm. As I use to tell my all so negative co-teacher "negativity brings negativity". I know it is easier said then done. My OB with DD#2 was great. After all the heart wrenching losses he kept telling me "Until there is a problem there is no problem" his positivity I believe had alot to do with a successful pregnancy.

Lakin24- I too had my uterus craved up. They cut my uterus in a X. My DD#2 also have a nice scar on her scalp from the Dr.'s craving pumpkin contest. THANK GOD that if I should be so blessed to carry another baby it will be a scheduled c-section with my Dr and NOT "whoever is on call"! That Dr. was unbelievable. I will have share more of that story later!!!
I never gave much thought if the scaring might have an impact on implantation this time around. I will have to add that to my list of questions.

showurhorns - I've been taking 200mg/day Prometrium since O was confirmed. Been taking it the last 2 cycles. I never took it with my miscarriage cycle, which could've been part of the problem. I'll try to think positive, but it's so hard.

Heather and Spughy - welcome!!! I hear you on the male factor issues. DH has very low libido, mostly due to blood pressure issues and we are able to get in only one BD per fertile cycle. On top of that, pressure to perform is an issue and he does not want to know when I am O'ing so I am very lucky this month to have our BD the morning of O. We have not been this close in MONTHS.

Callie - sounding more and more like you need DH's SA. They can work wonders with low sperm count and spinning the sperm for insemination. That may be all you need. Just think - you could be expecting twins (don't dare think trips!) in a few months with the way you O'ed this cycle!

Mollie - I was just going to ask if anyone ever used the temp adjuster. Hope your bad sleep night was the cause for the dip but I hear you on the disappointment. If I do not get a BFP this mo, it is going to hit me hard.

Sweet tea - isn't it nice to have a whole bunch of things to pee on!!!

AFM - well, does anybody else use the temp adjuster? I use one I found off of google and have used it twice this mo. Once because I took my temp way late - like 3 hrs - been sick and dh let me sleep in! and it put my temp back right at cover line. Today, I took it 1.5 hrs early after only 3.5 solid sleep hrs but I knew that was the best I would get. If I use the original temp, my temp is slightly down for the fourth day in a row. If I use the adjusted temp, it puts it higher than the last 3 days. I am going with the higher temp but because dpo 7 is usually my peak temp and it puts my temp where it normally is for this time of my cycle. Anyone else?

We will serve the Lord.

I never gave much thought if the scaring might have an impact on implantation this time around. I will have to add that to my list of questions.
The dr cut my uterus into a semi-K... horizontal, vertical and a diagonal up. Incredibly painful to recover from, and I could feel that scar pulling for 4 years after my younger dd was born. That dr was... a piece of work. I always wanted a natural birth, and now will never have that, but at least with #3 I will know what I'm getting and not have the disappointment of expecting a natural birth and getting carved up like a turkey instead.
