Grahnola, I bled several times during the pregnancy with my son. The first was somewhere around ~10 weeks, I think it was. It really freaked me out, but he was fine. Hoping for you.

For those of you who are doing IVF/IUI/etc when they have you come in for a blood test do you get results right away, or do you have to wait?  I know my friend who conceived naturally had to wait 2 days for her betas, but that was different from this.

I get results that afternoon on stuff like betas.  In by 10 am, results by 3 pm.

In my personal experience, spotting = miscarriage.

In my professional experience, spotting closely follows the general stats...bleeding = miscarriage about 50% of the time.

I hope its ok.

At the ivf doc, blood work by 10, results by 2

When I was m/c'ing it took the regular ob three days to get my results back. When the nurse drew my blood and I started to cry she became to tell me about her accidental pregnancy when she was young and how it turned out OK with her son. I guess she thought I was a college student who accidentally got knocked up, not a marred mom who has been ttc for three years.

Anyway, I think it depends on if they have a lab, but I would think that any RE does.

Hello all! I am back from the trip and we had an amazing time! You ladies must have really been praying and wishing for me hard, because it turned out to be fantastic! I did not bother to temp at all. Which was kind of freeing in a way. And DH's grandma said she thinks our next child will be a girl. Which kind of renewed my hope that I really might get to have another child one day.

However, I am on (unbelievable as it sounds) CD85. Yes, I said 85. And I had a BFN the day before we left. I actually still have not ovulated so I don't even know why I tested. I just couldn't stop myself, even though I know I have not even O'ed yet! Ugh. This is the longest cycle I have had since charting. So I don't know what to do. I know I can go to the obgyn and he can probably give me something to help me start. I need to think about how much longer I am willing to give it before I do that. I hate taking provera. I have taken it twice before to help me start. It makes me a crazy person.

I'm also still considering clomid, although I'm supposed to go to acupuncture on Tuesday, so I think I am going to see how I like the acupuncturist and see how I feel about it. Hopefully that will help me start. I know everybody else here is just wishing for AF not to come, and I am seriously praying for it! I just need this crazy long cycle to do *something* and at this point, I just don't feel like I am going to O. So, that's what is going on with me. Thanks for listening everyone. I know my story probably gets kind of old. Long cycle, BFN. Repeat.

Another bit of good news though, my DH has a 2nd interview for the job in DFW! If we end up moving soon, I will be so excited to be close to my old acupuncturist, plus near fertility docs/clinics! Everybody keep everything crossed!

Grahnola thinking of you and praying.

Lava thinking of you too girl. And no, we actually were in Northern California! My DH is not from Tx originally. Just got here as fast as he could! But if we move back to Dallas we can totally have a playdate if you come in town!

rcr I am super excited for you and your little emby! I hope it snuggles down and gets comfortable! I also really love all the discussion about it, because I feel like one day I may be doing the same thing. And it's so fascinating anyway.

mba & kparker sorry for the BFNs. MBA I haven't given up hope for you yet.

Ceccy I agree with those who said you may have PCOS. I have super long cycles, obviously. You also may have a thyroid issue. I don't know much about pre-menopause or early menopause but 30 does seem awfully young for that. Don't give up hope. I hope you can find a doc who will do some testing and help you out.

Everybody else thinking of you and hoping!!!

miriam, have you see this FF study? http://www.fertilityfriend.com/Faqs/When_can_I_expect_a_positive_HPT_if_I_am_pregnant.html It claims 13+DPO for a first + HPT. fingersx.gif

kparker, sorry about the - test. I hope you enjoyed your drink. I hardly ever drink alcohol (quickly tipsy orngtongue.gif), don't drink coffee/caffeine, etc. Sometimes I feel like I haven't given up anything for TTC, as so many have, and maybe that's why it's not working. Totally illogical, but I often have weird ideas. I still go through the emotional ups and downs and take my temperature each morning (not that it's been worth recording these past days with my sickness), but still.

lilmom, glad your trip was great.

Reading along everyone. Not much to report on my end so I haven't bothered posting. I am rooting for you all and reading your stories with interest.

AFM - I managed to get all of my soy pills taken on time. Most of the few temps I have recorded so far this cycle have been way too high for pre-O (today's was 98.0), and I'm not sick. If I had anymore cheapie HPTs I'd test b/c I'm obsessive that way, but I don't want to waste the expensive HPT that I have on hand. Anyway, I told DH about my BD every day between CDs 10 and 18 plan. He didn't give me too much flack. And today is CD 10, so we'll see. I'm sure we won't get all the BDs in that I want, but even if we hit half of them it will be more than usual. I'm curious if I'm O'ing at a different time than my temps suggest. Maybe this wider BD window will catch something.

Thank you so much for the prayers and thoughts. No more spotting but been on the couch vomiting all weekend - no pains/cramps just really, really sick and totally exhausted. It's totally weird. 8 weeks today - I am so tempted to call my Dr and get an u/s.

Hugs to all.

Lavatea... If you have not been checking your cervix, that might be a good idea. It would probably limit those days you think you need to bd.

LTB - I would agree with you except for the past 2-3 cycles that I did check it, it ripened early and stayed ripe for a while. The main reason I'm cutting back on signs to check is that I'm trying to be a little less crazy. Maybe the 9 days or whatever it is of BD defeats that purpose, not sure??

hi BSLs:

I am back to work (and to my computer) from my post-transfer break. I have been reading along, and posting a little from my phone, but I haven't made any changes to the front page. Do we have any new members that need to be added to the front page? Any changes?

Grahnola - how are you?

AFM - just enduring the worst tww ever for me. beta is on Friday. I have a stressful meeting with my jerk-ey boss today, and I am trying to relax.

Hi, ZoeJane'sMommywave.gif It would be nice to have you here, but I hope you get pregnant soon.

Not much is happening with me. I'm in the 2WW right now apparently, but not sure how many days. I think 5DPO. I had a high fever for 3 days around ovulation, so I had to guess on when to put it on my chart. I'm not too optimistic right now, though. Just the attitude that it hasn't happened yet, so why would this cycle? Esp. with both of us sick, the not-so-great timing, and then my husband's fever probably killed all the sperm anyway and my heightened immune system the ones that did make it through. greensad.gif

How are you doing? How's the Clomid working for you?

Edit: Forgot to mention, I have an appointment with a specialist at the end of May (very long waiting list), and I'm glad to be going for help finally.

Hi, everyone.  I was wondering if I could join you.  I've been lurking for quite a while and not quite feeling like I was ready to join, but am getting increasingly annoyed with first month trying and drop-in BFPs on The One thread. irked.gif

A little about me:

My name is Anna and I have been ttc #2 for a year now.  I have super irregular cycles which are usually long with delayed ovulation.  I'm not sure exactly what my problem is.  I am starting acupuncture today for the first time and trying to be optimistic that it will help.

I look forward to getting to know you better.  I'll keep you all in my prayers as we're on this ttc journey together.

Hello..Thank you all for ur concerns. I am doing pretty fine knowing that the Lord has taking over my case and very soon my testimony shall be like that of HANNAH in the Bible who reminded PRIEST ELI when she came with her son SAMUEL for thanksgiving after a very long time of waiting and said ''MY LORD I WAS THE WOMAN THAT STOOD BESIDE YOU PRAYING. FOR THIS CHILD I ASKED AND THE LORD HAS GIVEN UNTO ME''That shall be majority of us testimonies IJN

I am SINCERELY sorry if i had caused few people to feel bad based on my post, I wldnt want to mention it again, but for those that read it (That was what my RE explained to me and I came here to tell you fox, being where i purge my heart!!!) Remember we are people with different mood, feelings, worries. I felt bad as well...Please accept my unreserved apology! hug2.gif

I will be leaving for Africa by Month end for a proper Herbal treatment. Wld keep you posted.

Welcome, Anna! How was the acupuncture appt? I am going for mine tomorrow, and I'm nervous and excited at the same time. I shouldn't be nervous, this is how I got DS. But I'm still nervous, because that is how much I hate needles.

Tonight DH and I were talking about how long we want to give acupuncture before we go to Clomid, but everything seems so up in the air with his job and we might be moving, etc..It totally complicates it all. And I am not young enough to have it be this complicated!!!

Grahnola - I think I would try to call and get an U/S if they will do it. I'm really, really hoping for you!

rcr- I feel really good about Friday. Hang in there!

sweet.bee - I am so glad to hear you have an appt to see someone! It will be here before you know it, but I hope you get a BFP before that ever happens!

MommyMatsumotowave.gif I have long cycles and delayed ovulation, too.

lilmom, do you find the acupuncture relaxing, even disliking needles? I'm just wondering because I didn't think it was for me due to my inability to just lie still and do nothing to relax. I'm always running around doing things, or at least running through them in my mind. But isn't the point of acupuncture to relax? I'm not afraid of needles, though I don't particularly want to watch them as they go in (always look away when my blood is taken redface.gif).

I've given up on taking my temp for the rest of this cycle. First, I had a fever. Now, I have this nasty cough, and my temps have been lower than usual post-O, due to mouth breathing, I guess. I still think I Oed (strongest ever + OPK followed by creamy CM, which I don't get in this consistency pre-O and really closed/hard cervix), but I'm worrying too much over the low temps. Hence, the thermometer is being put away for now.

I was at the doctor last Friday, and he said from my blood, I could have a viral or bacterial infection, but it wasn't clear. When I said I could be pregnant, he suggested I come back a week later for another blood test to see if it's gotten better/worse, so just a few days to go. I hope I don't need to take the antibiotics.

fingersx.gif for SweetBee and rcr, sorry if I have missed anyone else in the TWW, I have not been around much lately.

MommyMatsumoto, welcome. I remember you from the One. Hope you won't have to stay long. With long and irregular cycles, have you been tested for PCOS?

Blueyzz - that's great that you are finally below zero and on track to try again. I wonder what units are used so that -1 is possible? Is it the log of a concentration or something?

AFM - Blood test was negative, got AF yesterday. The plan is to switch to letrozole(femara) instead of clomid to hopefully help the lining issue, and do another IUI. I am dreading CD7 getting back into daily blood tests and every other day US again. It takes up so much time and I hate it. greensad.gif

Hi All,

Grahnola - you should ask for an ultrasound.  With dd I had bleeding once at about 6-7 weeks (I also had brown discharge everyday for the first 12 weeks), it was like a single gush of blood and I thought great it's all over.  I had an ultrasound the next day and heard the heartbeat!!!!  An ultrasound would at least give you some idea what is going on in there and may put you at ease which could only be good for both of you!!!!

MommyMatsumoto - Welcome!

RCR - Thinking about you!

I have a question about long cycles, I am on cd 37, it is unusual for me to have long cycles (have tested muliple times all bfn's), usually my problem is that they are too short, I'm usually anywhere from 21-28 days.  I took low dose aspirin everyday this cycle and I am wondering if that could have caused me to not ovulate?  I don't chart but usually have o signs which I did not have this month.  I've also been having multiple hot flashes everyday for the last month or so, anyone ever experience this?  I am thinking that maybe I am starting menopause....that would not be good news. Do I just have to wait for af to come?  How long should I wait until I should see the doctor?

I'm on pins and needles waiting for my blood test results. If this cycle doesn't work out, then we move on to injectables, which means I'm even more infertile than I would have imagined. Clomid feels like no big deal in comparison; it's just entry-level infertility. Gonal-F is the big times, you know? Like, this is really happening. And so many factors would be so perfect for this cycle, including being due on my brother's birthday, having a baby by next Christmas, the fertility necklaces my cousin sent me, our first cycle after a wonderful vacation, being able to work through the rest of the school year and not need a sub to come fill in for me and disrupt the kids, dh being with me for the IUI, ovulating from my right ovary instead of the left for the first time in a medicated cycle... It would be perfect.

Will you get the results back today? I hope this is your month. Really. I really hope this is your month. Mine too.

AFM - thanks for the good thoughts. I am worried now that it didn't work. I got a BFN this morning, way too early anyway though. I had some blood on the TP when I pooped today and yesterday.

Mom to DS 12/07 and DD 11/13, plus a bunch of chickens, dogs, and cats.

Moving past many years of infertility and always thinking of my friends in the infertility forums.
