SweetMilk, I added you to the list at the beginning of the thread.

Well, maybe today I finally ovulated after 20 some days of EWCM. Today all things are dry. Now to see if it lasts and if my temp keeps going higher. I took my temp for grins and giggles last night before going to bed. 97.18. This morning 97.05. Depending on what happens in this cycle, I think I am going see my doctor about possible thyroid issues because my bbt in the follicular stage usually is in the low 96 degrees and even at its highest 97.9 degrees. I will just wait and see.

tickletoes and lilac, I totally understand the frustration. People need to be more understanding about the fact that everyone is different, and our bodies are not all in the same place. As much as we all want to be moms and have babies, there's more to us than that! How about asking, instead, if you've seen an amazing movie, read a great book, or cooked something everyone needs to try? How about jobs, other family members, spouses, etc? Us married and partnered ladies make many extraordinary things besides babies, and where we are in our conception journey is no one's business but ours and our DP's.

Off of my soap box, sorry!

I have decided that I'm never taking birth control again. This month has been rough so far. Cramps, sore breasts, headaches, weird cervix weirdness, etc. But in other ways, I feel so good! I've already lost weight, am sleeping more deeply, and have more energy. It seems that exercise really helps with the "ick" symptoms. The last two days have been particularly weird. Monday I had a hot flash, a very short but intense heat that ran up my face, and my breasts were so sore I thought I was going to pass out! I had a slew of very watery EWCM and now things are drying up. Yesterday I felt normal and today I feel slightly weird again, and a little bloated. Bleh. No idea what it means - according to FF, I should be 2 days DPO. But I'm guessing my body is still getting normal after being on birth control. These are all, apparently, normal post-BC symptoms.

love love love that you put this into words - it is SO TRUE!

Thank you for all the BD feedback - this is our first time TTC so really I feel like I have no idea what we're doing! The BD is def not a chore and I hope it never feels like that I just wan't sure if there was a 'formula' to all this ha!

#106 ·
I finally ovulated! I am CD36! O'd on CD33. This has been a crazy month!

#107 ·
lilac - yay! Sending baby dust your way!

So I am super queasy today. Like, almost threw up my coffee queasy. Ladies who have gone off of birth control: is this normal for being off of bc? Also crampy and hot. I am always cold, never hot. Ugg. I'm 3 days DPO (I think, give or take a day or two, I didn't record temps).

Sorry to whine.

#108 ·
I stopped taking BCPs in April. I haven't felt particularly "hot" on any occasion. I have the quesy bit but usually it has to do with some equilibrium problems in my ears.

#109 ·
FF took away my cross hairs. I had a temp on dpo4 that was below the coverline. :(

#110 ·
Hi lilacvioletiris, I am so sorry for this frustrating month. It must be stressful. Is it not possible that the dip was due to implantation? I hope that you find some answers soon. Has your gyn or dr studied your hormone levels?

Calpurnia7 I went on bc for 6 mo at the beginning of this year to get my hormones in order (it worked, stopping the midcycle bleeding). The first month off I had what felt like super ovulation and some queasiness. However, we were trying that month, and I am unsure how much of that was due to hyper awareness of my body and psychosomatic pregnancy symptoms. For instance, I also felt shortness of breath and found that was a pregnancy symptom. I have no idea why I would have had some of the symptoms I had. Very odd. But with or without bcp, our hormones make us feel all sorts of things and do all sorts of things to our bodies.

AFM, I got my tentative crosshairs this morning on ff.com. I am also confused about this, because I always have a short lh surge and I got it on the morning od cd 17 and I definitely felt like I was ovulating later that early evening (lots of crampiness, full feeling in abdominal area, gaslike pains). However, ff placed my o date tentatively a day earlier based on temps. I'm not sure what to think, any peekers at my chart? My opk was starting to show a bit of color the night of the 16, but the clearblue smiley was negative that night and + the next am, so I can't fathom how I could have o before the lh surge?!?!

#111 ·
Lilac sorry about your month :( I can't imagine how stressed/frustrated you must be. hopefully everything will work it self out.

Calpurnia you're not whining. I think its hard when we are all being so hyper aware of our bodies! I swear I notice more pains, twinges, heartburn, headaches etc. since ttc!

Andaluza consider yourself stalked! Your temp dip on CD15 makes me think that you O'd on CD16...looks like you had a dip last month the day before O too. I've never done an OPK so I'm not too familiar with them. What about your CM on CD17? I know that literally hours after ovulation I am as dry as the sahara. As long as you got enough BD in the few days before I'd say you've got a pretty good chance of catching the egg!

I think I O'd this morning (right on schedule CD13) Hopefully 5 days of DTD paid off! Does anyone else agree that baby making is basically the most fun thing ever?! As of tomorrow I will be in the TWW and am vowing now to not test until October 7th!

#112 ·
Thanks for looking at my chart, sarafaith. Your O date means that we are pretty close to having the same 2ww! Maybe your strength with not testing will help me. Because I'm on clomid I'll have to get bloodwork done early next week, which includes a beta pregnancy test (I still think it seems too early to get a + less than a week after O).

As far as when I ovulated, yes, yours is the conclusion I would come to if I were only looking at temps. However, my opks were all clearly negative on cd10-15, began to get some color on the night of the 16 (but not +) and only clearly positive on cd17, so I can't fathom how my lh (which apparently surges 24-36 hours before ov) would surge after that temp dip/rise. That is what I don't understand. When I am bd, I find it hard to differentiate cf vs semen, so I can't tell you much more about it those days, unfortunately.

We bd 10, 12, 14, 16, 17, 18, but had I known, we would have made an effort for the 15th. I hope we caught an egg, and you did too, Sarafaith.

#113 ·
Folks-- good luck to everyone. Sounds like you've all got a healthy amount of BD'ing going on!
luxlove.gif

I should be O'ing in the next few days and we are finally going on our honeymoon in three weeks, so we're going to avoid getting pregnant this cycle. I want to be able to drink and travel comfortably. I'll be back in a month. Good luck to everyone!!

#114 ·
Yeah! I finally go my signature line. I may have been able to for awhile and just spaced it, but it makes me feel like a real member.
orngbiggrin.gif

Trying to be cheerful because AF came right on schedule today. Sucks to be predictably disappointed month after month.

Have a great honeymoon TeamViddy! We never took one and we should have made the time, though day to day is still a honeymoon with my DH and true love.
luxlove.gif
Lilac-Sorry you had a lousy month. Hope the next one is better. Analuza- hope the clomid cycle goes well. Looks like you are doing pretty good on the BD.

Hugs to everyone

#115 ·
Country girl, I love your new signature line. Very cool!

Tomorrow's temp will be interesting. I wonder which way it will go - up or down. If I hadn't had the "dpo lines" come up yesterday, I would have done a HPT just because my cycle has been so long. But given the temps, I am pretty sure pregnancy is impossible.

My sister (how has been on clomid for 2 cycles and did an IUI this month) got AF today. She is bummed. I am too a little bit, I have been praying she would get pregnant, even if it seems I am not.

I am planning to go see my doctor and see if my hormones/thyroid are working as the ought. It has been almost 6 months of TTC and at 35 years old, I don't want to waste time if that is one of my issues.

#116 ·
Andaluza did you ever think that BD would be so stressful?! You got a lot of BD in so I wouldn't worry about it.
goodvibes.gif
for catching the eggie! I am a little jeal that you get a beta test!
dust.gif
to you! and YAY for cycle buddies! Let's keep each other strong!

TeamViddy have an amazing honeymoon! Drink some wine for me!

Sorry CountryGirl AF is such a bummer. Sounds like you have an amazing true love who you will get to snuggle into after a crappy day
hug.gif

Lilac you sound like you have a really great plan in place.

Hope everyone has a great weekend! I am going to relax and think about all the 'symptoms' I am having 1DPO heh heh heh

My cousin went on clomid - it took her four months, but it worked! Not only did it work, but she took her BD'ing seriously and got pregnant twice that month. She now has two completely different, beautiful, and brilliant little girls. She has had serious hip problems her entire life, so it was a blessing in disguise to have twins and only be pregnant one time. I'll keep my fingers crossed for your sis! I heard the side effects of clomid are pretty harsh, and it sounds like she has a lot of support from you to keep her chin up.

I hope it goes well at the doc.

So glad I'm not the only one and am not going insane.

#119 ·
Well my temp has gone up again today and FF put my cross hairs back in place. Theoretically 5 DPO. Another week to wait before my LP passes.

Yes, it is kind of fun to be TTC with my sister. Hopefully one of the next "countdowns" as she puts it, will bring her what she wants - a healthy baby. I am not sure I would wish twins on her, but given her husband's attitude of "let's just have one", it wouldn't be a bad thing.

#120 ·
Yay for your honeymoon, TeamViddy. We were still grad students when we married and so we went camping near the ocean, but it was great. We keep saying that one day we'll have a fancy honeymoon-anniversary, but we didn't do it for our 10th anniversary this year. It's tough when we have family abroad and when we visit them it is like a vacation, but who would have their family and in-laws on a honeymoon? No one sane.

Thanks for your thoughts, CaCountryGirl. I am sorry about af, but I hope you are about to create some super healthy eggs this cycle!

Hi Lilacvioletiris, I am so glad that you got your crosshairs back. I just saw when I logged on that you posted elsewhere that your temp was even higher today, so that is good news!

How is the symptom watching going this weekend, Sarafaith? I am 4/5 dpo and have had some nausea, but my rational brain knows that it is way too early!! Aside from that just nipple tenderness and today increased cm, which also happened last month and seems to be due to progesterone.

AFM, tomorrow I see my gyn and she will do an u/s and send me for lab work. Aside from the possible slight phantom symptoms, I feel fine. I am a bit upset that for the past few months I've had stressful issues to deal with during the early 2ww and I am kind of worried that somehow that is affecting any possible success I might otherwise have. I totally manage my stress well at other points in my cycle. Today I did some fertility yoga after my stressful incident and felt much better. But I wish I had a cycle where this didn't happen.

Hope that everyone else is doing well!

#121 ·
Yep, anduluza, my temp was up higher this morning, but I also took the temp 45 minutes late. I will just have to wait and see tomorrow when the temp is at "normal" time.

#122 ·
Pitch, I don't know if it helps right now, but it made me feel better when I had my miscarriage to know that other people have miscarriages and still go on to have babies . . . Meander had her baby a little while ago after a similar experience, and I'm due in a month after my first pregnancy miscarried very early. I know it doesn't make you feel any better about what's happening right now, but there is still hope for the future! Hugs for you.

How are things today, Lilac?

#124 ·
Temp was down a bit lower. Crampy. I think AF is on the way. I have to wait and see what tomorrow's temp brings.
greensad.gif

#125 ·
I'm sad that this thread is so quiet, and sorry that your temp was down some today, Lilac.

I am having a hard time focusing today because tomorrow I get the results of my blood test. I am telling myself that even if the beta is negative, I will not give up hope because it was done only 5 or 6 days after ovulation. I am feeling different this month, though. It's possible that my body is adapting somewhat to the clomid, which I suppose is good. Maybe?

#126 ·
First of all - Pitch so sorry about your loss! :(

Andaluza, you mentioned you have family abroad- my husband and I too! It's nice to have something else in common with others on here besides our universal attempts to conceive of course.

Lilacvioletiris - Regarding you deciding to be a stay at home mom; I'm leaning towards that decision, too. It's a super difficult decision- I'm at a nice peak in my career and seem to be doing better every day, however am so willing to let that all go to have my first child with my hubby.

Mexilady- welcome and that's got to be hard being around brand new babies all the time.

Welcome all the newbies! :)
