I've taken 3 hpt this past week, took one today as well. All came back with BFN. I ovulated on the 7th of this month, however I had a colposcopy done on the 9th. Could that be a reason why I'm not getting any of my symptoms? Normally I get extreme dry skin on my face, bad breakouts, gassy, loose stools, emotional, bloated, I have frequent urination the day before I start, sore and swollen breasts. This time around though my skin is better than ever with 1 or 2 blemishes, I'm constipated and I've had frequent urination for almost a week now. I'm so confused...oh and CM is clearish, and other months before AF it is white and creamy. My cycle is around 32 days, could there still be a chance I'm preggo even though I got a BFN today and AF is due tomorrow? Or could the colposcopy have messed with my cycle and pushed AF back?

I should also mention I've been charting my temp and normally I am 97.6/97.7 and now I am reading 98.3. Does a rise happen before AF?

Wait another three days and if AF doesn't come test again.

The thermal shift occurs the day after ovulation- usually.  Sometimes, some women experience a slow rise so that the shift is not truly noticeable for a few days.  Generally it is agreed that there is about a three day window around the thermal shift where the egg could actually be released.  But for the majority of charters, we count the temp spike as the first day of your luteal phase.  Did you get a spike on the 8th? Is that how you confirmed O on the 7th?  And now you're experiencing a second rise in temp?  Can you share your chart?  You can log your data on a free site like www.fertilityfriend.com and share it with us.  I guess I'm confused if you're seeing the temp spike today or if you are seeing a second temp spike.

If you did indeed O on the 7th then you would be 16dpo today and an HPT should be accurate 99% of the time.  If you're getting BFN's at 16dpo, one of three things is happening.  You did not O when you think you did.  You have a corpus luteum cyst that is delaying AF (these are benign and usually resolve within a couple of weeks).  Or you are in fact pregnant and are one of these women that doesn't metabolize hCG into your urine quickly.  The most likely of these three scenarios is the first: you did not O when you think you did.  Since your luteal phase will not differ by more than 1-2 days cycle to cycle when you O determines when AF will arrive.  So if O was delayed, so will AF be delayed.  It's entirely possible that the stress around the colonoscopy did delay O and this is why AF has not arrived and you're getting BFN's.

So I would suggest waiting another 4 days and testing again if AF does not show.  Please also share you chart so we can help you better decipher what is happening.

I used OPKs and got a positive and aside from the rise in temperature after the 7th my CM was egg white like as well. I am getting a second rise in temp now. Well for about this past week it's been rising again. I wasn't stressing about colpo as I had been told it was nothing to worry about and I knew I'd be getting results soon. I'm just confused about all of this. Guess I just have to play the waiting game. No signs of AF so far today either

Can you share your chart?  It would be so much easier to see what you're describing.  When was the temp spike- the 8th?  When did you get the OPK+?  When did your EW CF dry up?

A second set of high temps is referred to as triphasic and can be a sign of pregnancy.  Keep in mind most pregnant women do not get triphasic charts and some non-pregnant women do get triphasic charts, so it doesn't mean much, but it could be a sign.  When was the first day that you got the second rise in temp?  If it is a triphasic pregnancy chart the second rise in temp is most likely to occur between 8 and 10dpo, but could be as early as 6 or as late as 12dpo.  Again, seeing your chart would be helpful.

If everything truly points to an O day of the 7th and you are truly 16dpo today, then I would wait 2 more days, test again and if you get a BFN and still no AF, I would request a blood test.

I'm not sure how to share my chart, so I'm giving this a shot. Please let me know if it works or not, and how to do it please if it didn't work.  http://www.fertilityfriend.com/ttc/index.php

I got a + OPK on the 6th. And my EW CM dried up by the 9th I believe, I don't remember exactly though. Sorry.

Nope, that takes me to my chart.  To share your chart you can do a couple things, but the easiest is to click the "share" button beneath your chart and copy/paste the url.  It will look like this (with different numbers/letters):  http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/25f63a

Yeah... I'm not so sure of your O day.  FF isn't either since it gave you dashed cross hairs.  If you had ANY other patches of fertile CF after CD24, then I'd say it is much more likely that you O'd quite a bit later.  The only reason FF is marking CD17 is b/c of the fertile CF you have there.  Your temps do not reflect a proper thermal shift (three high temps are necessary).  Because AF has not arrived and you're getting BFN's at 16dpo, I would assume that you did not O until CD 27 or so.  Personally I would start counting again from there.  That would make you only 5dpo today and testing should be accurate in about a week.
