We've all used the saying one time or another in our TTC journey and I was curious what do you consider "bad timing"?

afm

this cycle we've tried our best to BD at least every other day, but there were two instances when the days we BD'd were 3 days apart (ex. BD 2x on Sunday, then BD'd on Wednesday). I thought I considered that to be bad timing, but I have a feeling most women think otherwise.

TIA!

I was venting about just this thing in another thread the other day. I was freaking out about what I was imagining to be "bad timing" which was in turn making me feel like a crazy person.  We BD every day the week before my positive OPK and then only every other day once it actually turned positive.  It was just how it worked out.  In reality I think we're both doing just fine in terms of TTC.  If you spend to much time stressing about "timing" sex it will stop being fun and what good will that do anyone.

I definitely agree with that statement, this cycle I've probably "timed" BDing 2-3 times (due to a +OPK (i've had 2 this month)), everything else has been because of DH (who has no idea how it all "works"), so it just happened that we BD'd so often.

I would say bad timing would be missing the day you ovulate or the couple days immediately before ovulation. So if you are having sex every other day I would say that is well within the realm of good timing. Good luck!

that makes sense :)

Honestly, this question came about because there were 2-3 instances were we BD'd every 3 days instead of 2 days, so when I posted this, thats what I was worried about.

It depends when you O'd!

We had awful timing...  DH was out of town from 5 days before O and was finally back in time to BD on what I think was the day AFTER O.  Hopeless.

Then again, go figure that FF up and decided it can't pinpoint O this month.  LOL  It says I probably ovulated "between CD 10 and CD 17"   Based on temps we missed it, but if it actually were CD 16 or 17 then we might have caught it.  But really with a week out of town leading up to O we knew timing would be terrible, and I think I was out before we had a chance.

It only takes once if it's at the right time :)

I like your positive attitude smile.gif

Last cycle we BD'd 6-7 days before O (due to travel) and I still had hope, for some weird reason.
