I took another test this morning at 8dpo.  I saw a very thin (light) line right away (within 2 minutes) and it is still there, many hours later.  It really looks like a evap line to me, so I am not getting too excited.  I took one with SMU and it was stark white.  Has anyone heard of evap lines that show up when the test is still wet?  The photo below was taken within the 5 minutes.  What do you all think?

I think I might be having a chemical preg :( so dont move me yet please.  I havent had any kind of cramping/bleeding/spotting but I tested 12 dpo and bfn - faint-ish but obviously there and pink, I didn't even have to squint or put it up to the light, now at 14 dpo the line has got really faint to the point I have to be standing at the window, same brand ad from the same packet.  stark whiteBFN on cheapy brand  I dont even know if the line is even pink, maybe justeven an evap line..  I tested with 4pm urine today which i'd held for 4 hours during car ride home and did my best not to drink too much (a few sips of water and a couple of cups of tea before I left) so am [inning my hopes on tomorrow morning but my symptoms have all disappeared.  So I guess I'm still in the two week wait till I know either way.  God this is hard.

Yay Chloe's Mama!  Let's hope it's darker in the morning.

I'm so sorry Monday, you must be feelng really upset.  What an emotional roller coaster ride.

AFM- Well apparently my LP is super long this cycle.  I'm on LP day 12 right now, up from 9 by FF count and still no sign of AF.  I actually took a test this morning in case my some miracle a little swimmer got through and lived a very long time.  Of course it was a BFN.

Chloe'sMama- I definitely see a faint line. I don't think evaps usually show up when the test is wet....maybe at the very end right as they're drying but that line seems pink to me. At 8 dpo I imagine the line would be pretty faint.

Btw- you know which line I hate? The control line. It's always there and so dark - but it doesn't mean anything!! It just taunts me...."look this test strip is working! but I'm the only line on it!"....jerk

Monday- So sorry to hear you're having a rough time. Have you thought about getting a quantitative HCG test done to help you figure out what's going on? Just a thought. I was reading yours and Lentileon's posts regarding nursing frequency and pregnancy. I don't have any concrete facts but have to say I agree with Lentileon. It just makes sense. I know my own body is very sensitive to prolactin. Hugs. Keep us posted.

Lentileon- I love your control line comment. That is totally how I feel! I'm on my 3rd PP cycle and have yet to ever ovulate. All I ever see on the OPKs is that taunting darl control line. Blah! I feel your pain about being sensitive to nursing frequency and the return of fertility. I seem to be in the same category as you. I was nursing very little but I'm still not ovulating. I mean, what is it going to take! Just a little frustrated.

Chloe'smama- GL with the testing today and post another pic!

AFM- cycle day 15, some EWCM and slight spotting but no positive OPK. No temp rise eiter yet. I feel like my body's trying to O but just can't seem to pull it together.

Well, i took 1 wondfo, 1 dollar store test and a frer... all had the faintest on lines... as light as the one yesterday.... i am still not convinced either way about them... seems like evap lines.... but they all show up in the time frame. They are such thin lines and do not seem to be very pink. Oh well... tomorrow is 10dpo and i should start af on wed or thurs.

I will try and post a picture later so you can o bsess with me!

ok, here are the three tests.... I think it could just be me who can see them, but I will let you obsess too. Both photos were taken within the 5 minute window.  Weird thing, I had a ton of Creamy CM and it had just a tinge of pinkish color, tiny bit, if I was not obsessing, I would not have even noticed.  But if I am getting any line at all, it is too late for implantation.  What do you think?

My chart too, just to share.  Temp is up still.

I should addthat both pregnancies with my dds started with spotting at around 9-10 dpo. Both times i thought i started my period a little early.

Really hoping that is what it is....

Arghhhh.... may have spoke too soon. Yesterday the spotting was just mixed with creamy cm and was dark brown. Today it is much more pink and mixed with watery cm. Tests were bfn... even to my eyes. That would mean a 8-9 day lp. What? Last month it was at 10 days.

I will let you know if it is af. My temp went higher this morning, but i feel i clogged duct coming on.

It's hard to tell. I see a faint line on the test strip but not on the frer. But I ALWAYS see a line. Like seriously- always. I hope your af stays away!

afm- I haven't posted really as I figured I was still waiting to O. I may have this weekend though. I had full ferning (not a lot of them but they were fully formed) on Sat. and now I feel very premenstrual. So even if I didn't I think that my body is trying to get back to it. DH and I DTD on Friday and I may have O'd on Saturday. I really don't think anything will come of it, but here's to hoping!

Hi all! I've been a little out of the loop—busy week. Hugs to you, Monday

ChloesMama, you must be so frustrated! Hugs to you, too!

I think I O'd on CD22—an improvement from last month, when I O'd on CD29. Add me to the 2WW.

Northwoods- does this mean you are in the tww? Hopefully it will pass quickly.

Me: arghhhh, at least the spotting has stopped as of early last night. My temp is still high and today i should start af... hopefully not. I had a bfn on my test this morning... well, same as it has been.... faint evap line within the time frame.... the earliest i ever got a bfp is 13dpo... so i feel like i am still in the game.

Lets talk about obsessing! I took a dollar store test with second morning urine and saw a shadow...mostly like all the other darn tests with the evap looking line witin the time frame. I just got it out of the trash and there is a faint PINK line. I know i cant count it... still makes me laugh though. I cant talk to dh about it, so thank you ladies for listening to mycrazy!

Chloe'sMama- You're obsessing SO much that you posted that twice!! LOL

I think if you see any pink lines no matter what point they show up (trash can tests count!) then it's a go. Let us know what happens!!

Monday- I'm sorry to hear that! I know it must be really hard even if it happens right at the beginning.

Mykidskisstrees-  hope you catch that egg!!

2cutiestolove- as much as it sucks, it's nice to hear that I'm not the only one who is not ovulating. All I hear is about moms who got pregnant with 9, 12,18 month olds. I'm not sad that it didn't happen then for us, but I'm starting to get a little bummed that I still haven't had a ppaf and DS is 22 months in a week. It just puts so much pressure on to wean or to accept that you're kids are going to be three years or more apart. We were aiming for 2 years. Oh well. I hope you O soon and catch that egg!

I do crack myself up!  Not taking any of it too seriously though.  I have been testing since 7dpo (several times a day).... I think I just like to POAS.

Here is a photo of that test.... many hours later.  DH didn't see it.... how about you guys?  I am of course testing again in the AM.  I am still spotting (more like tinted CM, mostly brown, but also a bit pink and red at times).  AF has not showed up yet today.  Hopefully temp will be high in the morning still.  I don't give up hope until AF shows up.

2012-04-25_17-06-07_228.jpg

Letileon and 2cutiestolove-  I am sorry that AF has stayed away so long for you.  I imagine it would be stressful.  I was positive I wanted my kids 18 months apart before DD1 was born and in the end, they are over 26 months apart.... I am SO glad they ended up being further apart.... although, I would have welcomed one earlier.... I have friends that have kids about 3 years apart and the transition seems to have gone much better than mine.... even at 26 months, it was hard.  Anyways, I think there are blessings and challenges for all age spreads. I think if it had not taken so long to get pregnant with DD1 (3 years), we may have waited longer with DD2 and also TTC now.  I think 2.5- 3 years would be great, but I just don't want to miss the opportunity if it takes a while.  I really do hope O happens soon for both of you.

Chloe'sMama- I definitely see a pink line too. I hope this it for you!!! I have pulled many a test apart too!LOL

Letileon- I feel your frustration. With DS my first PPAF was at 15 months, but then I didn't ovulate for 6 months, and after that 6 months with a luteal phase defect. So in essence, I wasn't able to even get pregnant until he was at least 27 months putting my kids at a minimum of 3 years apart. In the end they are 4 years, 9 months apart and it took IVF. I don't know why we had secondary infertility and I have a hard time making decisions now because one conception was very easy and the other very hard. At least I've had 3 AFs and my DD is only 15 months. I have to be honest though, I used natural progesterone cream around 12months to see if it would help bring on AF and it did and they have come at 46 days, and then 34 days so not bad. I used it as directed for 10 days and then stopped to see if I could get a withdrawal bleed. Maybe it was enough to tip my hormones but now I don't O. I had DD down to 3-4 short nurses a day but then she got an ear infection last week and now (even though she's better) it seems she wants to nurse so much more!! I don't know how I'd even go about cutting her back now (she seemed more ok with it before). I'm thinking she might be getting a tooth and I'll reevaluate in a month's time. I do have an appointment with my RE on May 1st. It'll be interesting to see what she says. She is by far the best doctor I have ever had and even called me at home several times to ensure I knew what to do re: meds! Anwyays, hugs as I know how it feels when it seems you're the only nursing mama whose body is super sensitive!

Argh! Sorry to hear that Chloe'sMama! That sucks.

2cutiestolove- That sounds like a pain in the A. I am so afraid I'm going to have trouble getting pregnant the second time. There's really no reason to think that but still. I'm sorry it's been such a rough road for you.  Sometimes I feel like a few of us just need to come to terms with the fact that we have to wean to get pregnant. I'm sort of on that path right now. I have plans to wean DS in June and he turns two July 1st. But still I feel guilty that I'm weaning because I want another baby even if I am pretty done with nursing. It's just all very emotional no matter what your struggle is. Let's just hope all these lovely ladies get their BFP's in the next month or so and we can pass the Nursing Mama's thread over to some other TTCers!!

Hi everyone!  Its been a while since I've been around here.  Today is my DD's 1st birthday and I'm happy and sad,  She's my fourth child.  I'm 39.  I don't want my baby days to be over.  (We obviously still have a few left, anyway.)  After the births of the 1st three I knew I wasn't "done."  This time, I'm 50/50.  I've dropped a lot of weight.  I feel better than I have in years.  I have a wonderful family. We have our hands full!  Why am I still longing to TTC?  We'd be happy to have another.  We're not doing anything drastic to avoid it.  We've always had to "try" to conceive. I'm not quite there yet.

I'm thinking more about it.  I plan to hang out here for a while.  Please add me to "Waiting to be ready."

The "Big 4-0" coming in January probably has something to do with this.  I know 40 is not "old", and lots of you here...and everywhere...have healthy pregnancies and babies after 40.  For the moment, my plan is to keep getting healthier and enjoy my family.  IF the feeling of wanting another baby doesn't die down, I'll let you know and start charting again.  (Currently just charting beginning of cycle, so I'm not surprised by AF.)  My DD is nursing strong, but I'm having 27-28 day cycles regularly again.

Thanks for letting me join in!  Good luck everyone and congrats to you who are pregnant!

So, here's my situation: I'm on my 6th PP cycle. All the previous ones have had an LP between 7-11 days (usually 9), and I O'ed on CD16-20. This time around, I flew by 9DPO and 11DPO with no signs of AF. I'm not an early, obsessive tester, so I waited until 15DPO (when DH drove me to CVS to get a test :-P ) That was yesterday. It was a BFN. So, what could be going on, here at 16DP, CD33?

The only thing I can think is, maybe I didn't actually O (I'm just charting CM, not temping). I've never had an anovulatory cycle before, so, if that's the case, what do I do? Just wait it out? Any other possibilities I should be considering?

For some reason my post from last night disappeared!

Welcome to jr's mom!

HopefulJo, do you have link to your chart?

No one offered to be thread hostess this month, so I went ahead and made the May thread.  I don't mind doing it again.
