Thank you for the new thread, Lilac!

Cautious optimism: today is my DR appointment to get my thyroid tested, and it's CD 32 w/no AF. My temp dropped on CD28 so I assumed AF would be starting soon. Since then I haven't been able to take my temp due to caring for my elderly dog, (we have to get her immediately after she wakes or we have a mess!!!)., but decided to take it this morning. It was high, especially due to how early I took it. So I took a Clearblue test and saw a clear but faint line. 15 mins later it's all but disappeared. But I was able to talk to DH about it before he left for work, AND I am going to the DR today so I can take a more accurate test. I am not holding my breath, but it might have actually happened. I will update as soon as I know more!  thumbsup.gif

Pee test at the Dr's office was a faint positive. Edited again: blood test came back positive!

ALSO got a phone call with a job offer right after leaving the Dr's office. Hello, May 1st. You are my favorite day ever.

Headed out to buy some lottery tickets!

ETA: if this did indeed happen, my chart is confusing me so hard. I thought I must have O'd on the 21st and the last time we BD'd before that was the 17th. This morning DH was like, looks like we're having a girl luxlove.gif and she took her time... Also, NO symptoms. I am not very body-aware so it doesn't really surprise me. The only thing I could really construe as a symptom is that my face seemed a lot more naturally hydrated; putting on daily lotion has been overkill the past few days.

My temp finally jumped today.  It was funny the other day on Dr. Oz he was talking about estrogen dominance and losing weight.  He suggested getting rid of personal care products with parabens in them because parabens mimic estrogen.  After 2 weeks of EWCM, I think I need to look into the parabens in my personal care products and maybe iodine supplementation for my thyroid.

FF finally changed my cross hairs to the day I really think I O'd on.

Has anyone on this thread ever tried iodine supplementation for hypothyroidism?  I have been reading about it and thinking I want to give it a try to see if I can ditch these long patches of EWCM and monster cramps I get each month.

lilac: I just wanted to comment on the Dr. Oz and parabens thing... I'm a firm believe in that as well. About 2 months before I conceived I ditched all my products with parabens (or switched to things that were almosttttt all natural like Burt's Bees) and I switched to organic meats and dairy (I always drank organic milk though)... and I believe it made the difference for me. I truly do! That and my B-vitamins!

Thanks for the encouragement, Erica.  I am working on the parabens things.  Just so much craziness with TTC.

Got some inspiration and clear information about some options for my DH and his azoospermia.  https://www.cornellurology.com/clinical-conditions/male-infertility/sperm-retrieval-techniques/surgical-sperm-retrieval/

Cornell University has some great research going on.

YAY TeamViddy!!!!

Lilac and erica, ever since you mentioned the parabens thing I have been researching them... fascinating!  I'm definitely going to explore other options when it comes to products that are paraben-heavy, especially my deodorant.

Lilac, I think I am ready to be moved to the Graduates.  I've been having some back pain (which turned out to be constipation---NO FUN) so I went in a day early for my ultrasound.  Everything looked great, and we even saw a little heart beat in there!  104 beats per minute!  DH and I were both wiping away the tears.  I was just so relieved to see the heart beating.  My clinic has been wonderful.  I'm going back in 2 weeks for another ultrasound with them (at 8 weeks) and then I see my regular OB the week after that.

Yippeeeee!!!!  joy.gif

Me (32) and DH (30) welcomed our precious baby boy 1/2013... life is good.

That's so awesome, Pitch... I'm so happy for you! As for the deoderant, yuppppp. I was using Toms of Maine for a while, but I have a feeling once it gets hotter out... I may put a touch of my old deoderant on so I don't scare people away. Lol. I also use Dr. Bronner's Almond soap for the shower. LOVE it! They have all different ones too. My Mom loves the peppermint, especially in the am.

And just food for thought while we're on it... Pre pregnancy when I was busy switching all my products around, I noticed most of them were lavender scented (which I LOVE) but... lavender is high in plant estrogen, so I quickly ditched that as well.

AFM, heading to visit family tomorrow afternoon to attend a baby shower for my cousin's baby who was born at 4 pounds 8 ozs (I can't remember the number of weeks, but not as long as he could have been inside).  Looking forward to being with family and celebrating a new life!

Hi everyone!

Well, we aren't trying (until next cycle) but we use FAM and condoms during fertile times. Honestly, looking at my chart, I'd be hard-pressed to know when we had sex enough to even get pregnant but...

Since last november, I haven't had an LP longer than 11 days (I started taking a B6 supplement to increase this a few months ago to prepare for TTC). So when I started cramping yesterday morning (11 DPO), I figured AF would arrive within a couple hours. I always start cramping an hour or so before light spotting, followed by heavy flow within about 6 hours. Well, it's been 36 hours and no AF. not even any CM. Dry as can be. I'm still cramping on and off, both lower abdomen and tops of thighs. mostly dull period-like cramps but occasional twinges/pinches. Also, my breasts are incredibly sore (not a typical pms/period symptom for me).

I don't know if it would have occurred to me if I hadn't had a dream last night where I was telling someone that I was pregnant.

Should I POAS? I've got some tests here. Should I wait a few more days? Miscalculate my O day (i use Billings method and CM only so no temps to back up my date, but no fertile CM after the day I marked as peak day)? finally getting a longer LP due to vitamin supplement? Or pregnant?

I haven't taken an HPT yet because I'm only 12dpo and I would rather wait until I would most definitely get a + than doing it now and getting a BFN only to get a BFP in a few days...I don't know. I'm weird like that. I also love the idea of getting a BFP on Mother's day, if I am. :)

Any feedback would be appreciated!

Pitch, you heard the heartbeat?! How beautiful! Waiting until late next month for my appointment means the time is dragging on. Congratulations again :)

Thanks, everyone else!

LibrayGirl, what did the weekend bring?  Nothing or AF?  If nothing, I would say POAS.

AFM, attended my cousin's baby shower.  I had fun and was so happy for her although with her premature baby I think her life will be so hectic just making sure her little boy is doing things like breathing when he is supposed to.  Her boyfriend, the father of the baby, seems a little wigged out by all the baby stuff.

AF appeared on Sunday so onto a new cycle.  DH is having a second sperm assay done this week with blood tests for FSH, LH, prolactin, and testosterone.  Hopefully our appointment Friday, May 25 will prove useful. Depending on what the doctor says May 25, we may be going for a second opinion from a Male Reproductive Medicine doctor who is 2 hours away.  Finally found someone whose specialty is Male Reproductive Medicine, not just a run of the mill urologist.

Thanks, Lilac.

BFN on Saturday morning and then AF showed up yesterday (Sunday). I really thought that would be the case and I think that's actually good. I had a 14 day LP this month. My B6 is working!!!! It's exciting to think that from here on out, we'll be hoping AF doesn't show up instead of that she does.

Hope your cousin is doing well and so is her little boy. Maybe as he gets stronger, the father will get more comfortable with him and be able to help out more. Some young men really do step up and turn out to be great dads (my own father is a prime example of this- he was 20 when I was born and my mom was 17. My mom still talks about how he drove her crazy because he'd come home at midnight after working at his dad's pizza shop and he'd want to wake me up to play).

hope your husband's tests come out good.

LOL, librarygirl, that is too funny with your dad wanting to wake you up to play as an infant.  I hope all goes well for my cousin, her son, and boyfriend.  I am sure good things will happen because my mom and my aunt are around and want to see my cousin be successful as a mom.  Sorry about the AF.  Hopefully this next month will turn out to be a great one for you.

AFM, my AF hasn't been so bad this month, cramps haven't doubled me over in pain and it is almost over.  Yahoo!
