DH and I have decided to TTC #5. I'm 98% sure this will be our last baby and I'd like to have the best pregnancy and delivery ever. My 4th child just turned one and while I'm down to less than I weighed before I was pregnant with her, I'd like to lose another 15 pounds before TTC. (Just gained 5 pounds on a 2 week vacation (cruise)...so it's not as hard as you'd think.) Then I'll be starting at the weight I did with #1! It just feels better to be lighter...and then I can get new maternity clothes too! God knows I'm tired of the ones I have!
I plan to do a juice fast (juicing organic vegetables and some fruits) for a week or two if can stand it, and continue juicing for breakfast and lunch most days of the week after that until I'm pregnant. I'll look into how much juicing is a good idea while I'm pregnant. I prefer to get my vitamins this way versus supplements whenever possible.
I just started rebounding to improve my lymphatic system and switched to an all natural deoderant. (I've known I had to get rid of the aluminum for a long time, but hadn't found a good alternative until recently.) I've been wanting a water ionizer for years and have ordered one. I started all of these things before we even decided to TTC. I just want to get healthier! I am a chiropractor, and always looking for more natural ways to help my body function optimally is kind of my hobby anyway. Combine that with I am 39 this year and not exactly having a midlife "crisis"; but am just thinking about how I want to age gracefully and be as vital as my 89 year old chiropractor who is still practicing and lecturing...while I enjoy life with my equally healthy DH when I am 90!
So what other improvements to my health should I make? What else can I do to prepare my body for pregnancy especially in the next 2 months before we TTC (but I am still nursing)?
