Does anyone know if you test after you have ovulated with an Ovulation Prediction Kit will it show a surge?
It shouldn't. The surge is what causes the ovulation and it disappears before the O occurs. It may be positive for a couple days before you O, but then it tapers off. If you compare test strips you would see the color getting darker and then lighter as the surge ends.

I bought a combo pack after my mc.
It had pregnancy tests and ovulation tests.
I tested negative for pregnancy, but faded lines for ovulation.
I tested on day 13 & 14. If there are faded lines and they disappear does that mean I am past ovulation?I tested later than I usually ovulate I have shorter cycles of around 24 days....b
but post d&c who knows....I am also on bc that says I shouldn't ovulate...
would I get an OPK+ if I was on the pill?
If they ramp up then and I get a positive...then I get that.
*not ttc but was curious if my period would actually come on time.....
8 might be enough
You always have some LH in your system, and that is what OPK's are looking for. If you do an OPK the lines would get lighter after you ovulate. If you are taking BC pills correctly, you should not ovulate and probably wouldn't have a positive OPK. Your period will come when you take the placebo pills in your pack.
I am so confused.
You mean if I get a line, my birth control ain't working?
I am an early ovulator...So although I started bc on day 5...
I can ovulate on day 6-10.
8 might be enough
Honestly, I'm confused too. I would suggest you ask your doctor who prescribed the birth control pills. BC pills aren't always effective the first month you take them. It is usually recommended to use a backup method of birth control the first month you are on the pills.
I don't meant to worry you, Shiloh. Everything could be totally fine and normal. Cycles can be weird after a mc. I'm sorry for your loss and I hope you get everything figured out soon.
