hi, so I have just recently started tracking my temperature. I started on my day 2 of my menstrual cycle and up to today (day 5) my BBT has been recordered at 96.7 everyday. Now this morning it went down to 96.1. I have been taking my temperature at the same time every morning. Is this normal to have this much of a drop?

I just really don't want to miss my small window of a chance. I have heard of women getting pregnant while on their periods.

Any advice would be great.

It can be normal to have drop during the cycle.  It might signal ovulation, and it might just signal that you kicked the covers off in the middle of the night.

I would say just keep temping, and have sex if you think it is warranted. :)

The reason for your sudden drop is the drop of progesterone in your body, plus the surge in estrogen that is experienced after menstruation is complete.  Don't fret - this is normal.  After you've temped a few cycles, you'll see this is probably a common theme for you.  It's the same for me, and many other women.
