So I had an appointment with ob/gyn last week about irregular periods, and ovulation. she asked me if i have irregular periods all the time? so I said yes , and she advised me that since my thyroid level was abnormal couple of months ago so that's why i have irregular periods. But the fact is irregularity is all the time since 15 years irrespective of my thyroid level normal not. The bottom line is she said not to test using opk's till I get regular cycles, she said try for 6 months-one year until I get pregnant. If not she wanted me to make an appointment with infertility.
I was not not happy with what she said and she also kinda refused to have progesterone tests for now and other tests. But in the patient instructions list it is written to consult infertility dept if i have irregular cycles even if my thyroid levels are under control(but it is anyway irregular!!)
P.S: I have started testing from cycle days: (cd13 till today cd 37), all negative actually this is the very first time ever i have started using opk's.
