MyKidKissTrees- Please don't move me to Successes yet. I'm very nervous still and I think I'm just going to stay here until I'm a little farther along and feeling less worried.

Hi ladies,

Congratulations MyName!!

Well I havent been around much as have been so busy with life, toddler, holiday, masters course and not really focusing on ttc.  A week before O was due I got a load of ewcm.  Dtd that evening but thought we were out as DH had 'old sperm' (hadn't had time for bd'ing for like 3 weeks) and then a couple more times that week but didnt really think much of it.  Then went to Spain to visit my family and had a great time, drank a bit too much one night, felt really sick, AF didnt show up, got home an tested and BFP.  This is the first time I have dared post about it as I just got home from work and tested and was nice a dark straight away, this morning I nearly broke down as I thought it had got lighter but DH assured me it had got darker and clearer and that the fact I drank a gallon of herbal tea the night before had probably diluted me a bit.  I must be about 12-16 dpo (this is the first month I havent done opk's or anything so dont know for sure).

Just out of interest though for you nursing mamas ttc.. this month DS was feeding like a MONSTER, he went from 2 x a day (morning and bedtime) to every 2-3 hours day and night before and during and after O, mainly because of a cold.  I really didn't think I would be able to ovulate/implant.

I'm excited and happy but SO nervous since a cp a few months ago.  Please move me to success stories, DS 21.5 months, 7th month ttc, 5 ppaf

I wish you all lots of babydust

Thanks for being a great support group

Monday x

I need to stop lurking and participate!

We are TTC, but no PPAF yet. Although for the past week I have been abstaining from activities with the fam, even though hubby is on vacation. I have the most horrible back pain. Grrrrrr! I'm trying to ignore any symptoms because I've wasted too much money on about 6 tests! Some were false positives and some were defective, just my luck.

DS is 17 months old now smile.gif

You can keep us in trying to catch the first pp egg.

Congrats to the few of you that have been moved to success stories!

Hi ladies! I'd love to join this thread if I may? I'm Momma to 2.5yo DD and we've been ttc for 7months. I'm starting to get discouraged and feeling like I could use some support. DD nurses 2-6ish times/day, and usually throughout the night a handful of times. PPAF arrived when DD was 10mos old.
AF just arrived today, so I'm waiting to O.....
I have a question about vitamins/supplements. My cycle has been 27-32 days long, with O date being anywhere from CD 14-21. I use fertility awareness method and I have confirmation of regular O, and I use OPKs. I take New Chapter Organics Women's Once Daily multi, which has vitex in it. Are there any other supplements to recommend that may regulate my cycle more? What is B6 used for? What about on DH's side- any supplements to help his swimmers? smile.gif
Thanks ladies!

Mykidkisstrees, I am not. We are trying every chance we get, which is every chance our toddler lets us. I didn't want to add another factor to the mix that makes it more stressful for me. I'm trying to catch the first pp egg, so. I'm not even positive if I am ovulating, because no Ppaf yet. I don't want to get let down if I'm not smile.gif

so far we are having fun with it, you know?

So this 2WW has been a roller coaster of emotions and I'm only about 7dpo!  My nursling is sick right now and working on her 2 year molars so she's been nursing a lot more often which is making me think that maybe it will be too tough on her if my milk starts to disappear because I'm pregnant.  I doubt myself every time we TTC so if anything, it's an indicator I'm actually pregnant, ha ha.  With our firstborn, we decided to wait a few months so we could have a spring or summer baby and as soon as we made the decision to postpone TTC we get a BFP!  With my second born, similar story, I was doubting TTC because my firstborn was only 21 months (thinking 2 years should be the minimum) and lo and behold, a BFP!  I do think that if we're out this month, we're going to wait another couple more months, but then hormones take over mid month and I'll probably change my mind once again.  Oh the mama guilt!

AngelKissedKids- I was the exact same! Every single month I would doubt myself and decide to postpone TTC again and decide I should wait until DS is older, then I would ovulate (crazy hormones!) and decide I want a baby right now. Lol. Honestly, I think it's normal to always doubt TTC and wonder whether it's the right time. I remember doing that when I was TTC my first so I think it has less to do with worrying about milk supply, older nurslings, etc. It just seems to be normal to be slightly doubtful and worried.

Oh my, yes, I go back and forth all the time!  "If this ones not positive then its a sign we should wait until ___(insert random thing here)___." But I think I am finally past that.  (which i ALSO always say).  haha.

Totally know what you mean Blonhrt!  haha. ;)  We love to practice making a baby.  Its half the fun!

AFM:  Im getting close to when I will start testing (10 DPO).  I cannot wait any longer.  Im too excited.  This is our first cycle trying, so Im sure if it doesnt work out I will calm down...but right now Im freaking out!  Tomorrow (today I guess) is 9 DPO!  SO... I will start testing on Wednesday :)  DH and I are pretty excited!  I dont FEEL pregnant.  But I dont feel like Im getting a period either.  My nipples were KILLING ME this time last cycle!  So Im excited!  Always wanted a summer baby!

Angelkissedkids, I think in general, women (including myself) hold themselves accountable for any reason things don't go perfectly. So when you doubt TTC while thinking about that sometimes it's too much or too early, you forget about how great a gift your giving your family smile.gif

I have a question for all of you. I have not had my first pp period. I have however, had a clear cycle of ewcm, tacky, creamy and wet cm since about May. This month i have taken 5 tests, 2 slightly positive, but they were the clear blue plus signs kind, and I have got false positives before. I don't know why I keep buying them!

I then got one defective, and two frer negatives. I was really bummed, because I tested through a period of two weeks so I was sure I was on the way to a bfp. I still have the same symptoms, backaches, cramps, headaches and smelling issues! Because of the negative tests, I've been telling myself its all in my head and trying to forget about it. Now.....( tmi ) I am changing my underwear throughout the day, because I'm getting so. Much. Cm.

I am sure it's not from intercourse, a good 3-4 days has gone by.

I'm so frustrated, because I feel like my body is on a roller coaster. DS has definitely decreased nursing, but man, I don't know anymore. I' feel like this was so much easier the first time around greensad.gif

I really need to either get a period soon, or be pregnant! I'm going insane!

I keep thinking, "hmm maybe these are PMS symptoms. I *really* want a PPAF before we start trying so I don't have any temptation to reduce nursing before O is ready. Hmmm

Married to my favorite man in '07. Our firstborn came along in April 2012 (HBC), and our second is on the way, due sometime in May 2014 (planning an HBAC).

Hi ladies, just wanted to check in.  Still waiting on first PPAF over here.  Trying to be patient and focus on other things, don't really have a choice right :)

Has anyone found it useful to use OPK's before the return of AF? I've thought of it, but seems like it may make the waiting game worse.  Thoughts???

RosieL - I keep doing the same thing wishfully thinking PMS is here! Never thought I'd be hoping for PMS symptoms.  I really want DD to self wean and don't feel right about cutting back her nursing to get AF to pay a visit.  Hope she visits you soon!!!

Ashora, did you alter your nursing pattern at all, to bring on PPAF?

RosieL, when you posted the first time in here, I could SO relate to what you were saying... And me too, I'm really hoping I get PPAF soon because it's driving me crazy thinking about making changes to my nursing pattern to bring it on somehow.

I'm just a few short weeks away from the time when I got AF back after I had DS (5.5 months), so I'm kind of feeling some pressure about it all-- I know, though, that the return of fertility can be different after each pregnancy, just as each pregnancy can be different.  However, I am hoping that it follows a somewhat similar pattern... I wish I would just get it already, so I can stop checking the tp for signs of it coming!  Lots of EWCM, though it's about every second or third day that it comes.  What do you ladies think-- is this my body gearing up to get back on track?  Today I even had some crampy AF-type feelings, but nothing has come of it.

Audrey, not sure about the use of OPKs before PPAF.  I have thought about ordering the cheapies, because on the one hand it would make me feel like I'm actually something fertility related.  On the other, it might go on for a long time and then it would maybe get discouraging?  What about temp taking, are you doing that at all?  I found that with nursing DS and being woken up several times a night, I could still get accurate enough info on what my cycle was doing-- I  could still see the rise pattern after O.  I haven't done anything with temp taking yet, though... too tired with everything I've got going on right now to be bothered with it.  But I can see myself doing it soon.

Hi Ladies,

We are starting to TTC baby #2.  DD will be 1 year on October 24th, and no AF for me yet.  She still nurses almost continually day & night, except for 2 days a week when I'm not with her.  I've been trying to stretch out pumping on those two days to around 5 hours, and am probably going to start taking vitex.  So, I guess I fall under Waiting to Ovulate.

Baby dust to all!

All updated to here :) If I missed anyone just let me know!!  If you bold your changes it will def make it easier to figure out who needs updating :)

AmyMay I put you in Waiting for the First Post Partum Egg since you havent gotten PPAF back yet!  But let us know when you do (or if you catch the first egg!) and I will put you in Waiting to O or the 2WW :)

AFM: I have NO self control and started testing yesterday (8DPO) and again today (9DPO).  I just REALLY need to know as soon as possible.  I live in the most miserable birth climate state EVER (okay maybe others are worse... but seriously it sucks here) and I will have to start searching out underground MWs for my homebirth.  So the sooner I know the better!!  haha.  (or maybe this is my justification).  But of course, they have been BFNs both days!

With my last kiddo I tested two days after my missed period (we werent trying and my periods had been wacky lately).  And got a BBFP!  With #1 we were avoiding but I had really regular periods and tested the night I was supposed to get my period (it always came around noon).  And I got a very faint positive!  SO... I feel like maybe I will get a light + a day before my missed AF... but probably not earlier than that.  Alas... this knowledge will not stop me from peeing on these things daily until then!  I was about to run out so I ordered more from amazon!

Can someone post the translations for the types of test abbreviations?  I dont know them!!  shy.gif

So sad... just went to the bathroom and theres light pink in my cm greensad.gif  i think AF is coming.  which means my LP was too short at just 9 days...

EDIT:  just searched online and found that 9dpo is a really common time for implantation bleeding.  but im soo crampy. so im not holding my breath... plus this is the day i originally thought i should get my period.  CD29... I was shocked when I O'd a whole week later than my old cycle use to be... SO... im cautiously optimistic that we may have had a successful fertilization and just hoping for a successful implant.

I'm rooting for implantation bleeding!!!

Why wait to search for a midwife? I found mine before we started TTC the first time...I needed to occupy myself somehow! This time I have my son to occupy me, and I have my VBAC/HBAC research to tide me over. lol.gif

Married to my favorite man in '07. Our firstborn came along in April 2012 (HBC), and our second is on the way, due sometime in May 2014 (planning an HBAC).
