I'm officially showing in the graduates (which is supppper weird) and I thought I had announced it already but I was asked to do so again as it's encouraging to others, I'm officially knocked up.  As I sit here knee deep in morning sickness and fatigue so thick I could cut it with a knife if only I had the energy I wish you all well and am sending fertile vibes your way so you can come suffer with me...

7w3d so tired I can barely move, due May 18th.

Oh Amanda, I know the feeling. Involuntary naps are so much better than the sudden onset of "Oh, I only have nausea when I can smell anything... and I can smell *everything*!!!" They keep telling me it will get better before too long. I'm 10 weeks tomorrow.

My midwife's office gave me a recipe for the nausea which has been working really well for me. Bring a quart of water to a boil. Add the juice of 3 lemons, 1/2 C. of grated ginger and 1/2 c honey. Turn off heat and let steep for 20 minutes, then strain. Its nice warm, its amazing cold, and mine turned a light pink color, which was lovely. I did not use the whole amount of honey, as 1) I don't like sweet right now- and baby really doesn't want sweet at all 2) I'm holding my food down, I just feel like crap and 3) honey's expensive. I used two spoonfuls of honey- tea spoon like flatware, not like the measuring spoon, and made a double batch. It lasted me about a week in the fridge before it seemed off- it turned the yellowish color I expected it to be, so I tossed the last cup or so. I'd been having it diluted because the ginger was HOT.

I hope this helps!

My IUI didn't work and AF showed up today, so I'm on to the next cycle. I'll pick up my clomid tomorrow and start it on Saturday. Then I'm scheduled to see the RE on the 15th for another IUI if everything looks good.

Cramps suck... and it seems that AF always has to come on a night that I have to teach dance. Cuss.gif

On a positive note... the fire alarm went off at school this morning in the middle of a downpour. The littles and I had to stand in the rain wearing slippers after wading through multiple puddles. After several minutes, my boss comes by and tells us its not a drill and that the fire department was on the way... but since the alarm was from my building and not the office building, that I could take the kids there. So my excited and wet little crew head into the office, where the kiddos were treated to a great view of the fire truck and fire fighters when they arrived. No real fire, just a malfunction with one of the sensors. So we head back into the classroom and I tell the kids that they can play in their BARE FEET since all of their shoes, socks, and slippers were soaking wet. You would have thought I had announced that Christmas was going to be everyday from now on! They went crazy jumping up and down and shouting "Bare feet, bare feet!" It took me several minutes to calm them down... and then any time someone entered our room today, the chaos would start fresh as they ran up to show off their bare feet. Crazy kids! They kept me amused.

I'll look up you ravelers later tonight or tomorrow.  :)

meg and amanda, thanks for sharing your BFPs with us!  Inspirations is always good.

tickletoes, glad to hear you have a plan even though AF showed up. Hopefully this next IUI will be the magic shot to make you a mommy!

AFM, DH is sick with a cold/sore throat. I don't want to catch it as I am heading up north with a group of students for the weekend without him.  I don't want to be sick.  Hoping to get some crafting and laundry done this evening.

Will start charting this month with temps.  Until now have only used calendar and OPKs.

Welcome, sabrinabella.  I hope your stay with us is short! I hope you get your BFP soon. Has your partner had his sperm checked?  I know I am dealing with severely low sperm count with my DH and saving up our money to have IVF. The sperm assay is pretty cheap and just gives you a heads up if you need to so something more than just charting.  The charting helped me figure out I was hypothyroid (which also may be an issue with me getting pregnant). Looking forward to getting to know you better!

Tickletoes: sorry it didn't work out for you this cycle hug2.gif Stay strong!

Meg and Amanda: Congrats! I wish you happy and healthy pregnancies!

Lilac: what sort of craftiness are you working on now? A weekend out of town always sounds nice to me, I hope you're looking forward to it.

AFM: Getting towards the end of 2WW, I asked DH again about IUI but he said no. I'll call the clinic today and ask how much Clomid alone would improve the odds and see if it's worth it.

TickleToes - I'm so sorry it wasn't your month hug2.gif but yes, good to hear there's a plan. That story about your kids is so hilarious and sweet! Us teachers really do have a great job amidst the crazy.

liac - Have fun on your trip! Crossing my fingers that the sick bugs stay away!

Sabrinabella - Welcome to the group!

dakipode - I'm sorry to hear that your husband isn't up for the IUI :( I don't think mine would be either to be honest, he's pretty anti intervention. Let us know how you get on with the Clomid and fingers crossed that you won't even need it!

AFM - Half way through the 2WW and my temp took a huge nosedive this morning. Could mean something, could mean nothing I guess so I'm trying not to read anything into it - both positive and negative! I'm going to try my best to not test until next week and fill my days up with some quilting and learning web design. It's so nice having time for all this while I'm on leave!

Doula, looks like your temp went back up a bit--- how are you feeling?

TT, best of luck for your upcoming plans! Thanks for sharing the cute stores about your barefoot littles.

Lilac, hope you had a great weekend!

Dakipode, good luck-- sounds like a difficult situation, but that you know how to deal with it.

AFM, launched into the next cycle, AF trailed off a few days ago. Grappling with the idea that I might need to see a doctor to figure out why it's taking so long to make a baby.

TeamViddy - Feeling ok, but my sleep has been so restless recently I'm not sure if I should be trusting my temps! The good sign is no sign of AF and if I calculated my O date right then by tomorrow I'll be late. I have taken a test though which was negative :( I had a bit of a 'Everyone else get's pregnant but me' pity party this morning, which I know isn't true but of course it feels like it at times. Ugh. When do you think you'd go see a doctor? Crossing my fingers that this is your cycle!

Doula, sounds like there's still a little hope with this one, especially considering the time when your temp dipped. Hold out a few more days :)

No idea-- we started in August of last year and it's been 12 cycles of not trying, not preventing. And I got to almost 8 weeks with the pregnancy. That means that we are able to get pregnant, so it rules out one big question. I think I heard that in your 30s, 12 cycles of NTNP means that you are having an issue. But the pregnancy was right in the middle of those 12 weeks. I am confused and a little overwhelmed by the idea of doing a bunch of tests.

TeamViddy: hmm, I don't know. I would think that your 12 month count would start after your last pregnancy but if you're concerned you should be able to see your doc and just bring it up. You could call it "preliminary research" if the idea of getting into the fertility testing sounds intimidating.

doularebekah: I can completely relate, I've been having a pity party all day: watching tv and taking naps... Thank god for Sundays. Tomorrow I have to be happy and cheerful again for my clients.

AFM: back to the start, calling the clinic for Clomid tomorrow. Sort of excited about the thought of increasing the odds. I told DH if this next cycle doesn't work out then I want to do IUI in November. Felt good to tell him point blank this is where I stand. I hope of course that we won't have to cross that bridge but I'm all for having a contingency plan, it keeps the hope alive.

TeamViddy-  hug2.gif for your loss, so sorry.

AFM-  AF arrived for me a few days ago so I'm onto our 19th cycle of trying. Even as I type that I can't believe it. Surely I miss counted somewhere! DH has finally agreed to getting testing done after the first of the year....

TeamViddy - Hmm, yeah I'm not sure how they'd calculate that with a pregnancy in the middle but I still think it's reasonable to talk to the doctor about it when you're ready. I'm wondering if having miscarried they'd still count it as the 12 months? We got pregnant 12 months ago and my doctor counted it just to note that we're able to get pregnant, but still wanted to investigate why we haven't since and why we miscarried that initial time.

dakipode - It's a bit of a tough road, right? I'm glad you were up front with your husband, it may just take him a bit to get his head around it and knowing how sure you are could help him do that. Hopefully the clomid means you don't have to do that, though!

JustJenny - Not yet! No sign of her either, I'm wondering if I could have O'd a couple days later perhaps but still no AF is good! Sorry she found you, crossing my fingers that 19 is lucky for you!

AFM - No AF yet, 13DPO and temps still above the coverline. I'm too scared to test again though so maybe I'll think about it as if I did O on CD23 and wait until Saturday to test? Ugh, I don't know!

This is the cutest story ever, TT! You'll be happy to know that my middle schoolers sometimes get that excited about rain, too, but of course they live in the desert. Sorry about your IUI, best of luck with the next cycle. hug2.gif

Doula, I was chart stalking you and it looks like AF is still at bay. It will be interesting to see if your temp jumps up again. Maybe the first "dip" wasn't ovulation?

AFM, AF is kicking my butt.  No big surprise.  Find it humorous that so many of us have AF around the same time each month. You would think we lived in a college dorm with the synchronization of our periods.  New month, new hope!

Thanks ladies, but it looks like this spotting is becoming AF :( I'm wondering if I did ovulate on the second dip as this would make sense for my normal LP. If this is AF I'll go in for some more blood tests tomorrow and hopefully get some answers. It's not officially been a year of trying and I'm really feeling it today.

It is really weird that a lot of us cycle together! At first I was a little off and now I'm cycling along with everyone. Funny...

doularebekah- hug2.gif I'm sorry it didn't happen this cycle. TTC sure can take its toll on us. Do something nice for yourself today :)

JustJenny - Thanks for that :) I'm heading into town today to treat myself! Although....no sign of AF yet. Weird!

AFM - I waited on it yesterday but still just a bit of spotting, that had become a tiny bit of brown by the evening. And today also...nothing! Less spotting than yesterday, but my temp is down (although not below coverline). Is there anyway this could be implantation do you guys think? Have I completely miscalculated my O time this month? Ugh, I wish it would just start already!

doula, I don't know what to say as I look at your chart.  You have several charts that go 35 to 40 some days, so I would just wait it out a few days especially since your temp is down near the coverline.

lilac - You're right, I do just need to wait it out :) I'm thinking I might have ovulated a bit later, who knows. Either way, still no AF! Weird.

What is everyone doing this weekend to keep occupied?  This morning I made a corn casserole with corn, creamed corn, flour, butter, eggs, salt, and pepper. It smells so good!  It is for lunch but I want to eat it now :)  Tonight I need to do laundry and I am going to work on some craft projects - maybe my MIL's Christmas gift - new pot holders.

We went to the Balloon Fiesta this morning!

We're planning on switching over the swamp cooler/heater later.

Tomorrow laundry, tennis and potato-sausage soup.

I'm on CD8 and not expecting to see much action till next week so I'm kind of care free for now.
