all my tests were normal...except progesterone levels which were very low...normal level is betwen 2-25 but my level was just 0.33 on my 23rd day of cycle...she then refered me too a infertility clinic...i usually have 40 day period...and my ovulation test show postive on 25-28th day of my cycle....i just wanted to know if there is some one who conceived with such low progestreone levels...my ultrasound was normal as well...no pcod,no fibroids,no cycts..perfectly normal...

It sounds like you took the progesterone test too early. It should be taken about 7 days after you ovulate. It sounds like you took it on day 23 and didn't ovulate until around day 29. Your body doesn't produce much progesterone until after you ovulate. It is standard to have the test around day 23 but that doesn't work if you have an atypical cycle. I would have the test repeated at the right time. Progesterone is a level you can improve through acupuncture, herbs and supplements and medication. Many women take B6 to support the luteal phase which is when progesterone is made. The doctor can also give you progesterone supplements. Many women read Taking Charge of Your Fertility to learn more about how everything works. It could be helpful for you. My progesterone levels were on the low side and I got them higher using many different means. I am now 6 weeks pregnant. Good luck to you!

I think my first level was 9, and they prefer to see it around 12 to 15. I did yoga, exercise, stress management, acupuncture with herbs and supplements. More recently I started taking 100mg of b6 each day and that seemed to help reduce spotting before my period. That spotting can often be a sign of low progesterone. I ended up using fertility drugs as well, and that can help raise progesterone. The last time I had it tested it was 26. I'm sorry I don't have any insight into late ovulation or long cycles. Mine were always pretty regular and I ovulated at a fairly average time. Working with a fertility specialist can be very helpful because they can do blood tests and ultrasounds to see when and if you are ovulating. I hope they are very helpful for you! Good luck!
