Thanks for the encouragement everyone. I'm feeling a little less negative today. I appreciate the hugs :) Mamacatsbaby- I'm taking a pill form of progesterone prescribed by my RE. I'm thinking he may up the dose considerably or try something else to help raise my levels more.

Hey Lilykay and Prescotthola.gif I'm in Tucson...  You will have great weather in april Lily! If you ever want to meet IRL I'm up for it. It would be cool to meet some of you...I know a great Gluten Free Cafe....

Gotcha JustJenny. I'm glad you're feeling a bit better today. I hope you find just the right combination of things that will work for you soon. I swear, I get the worst urges to cuss out my high school health teachers and everybody else that told us when we were teens that we could get preggo just by thinking about sex eyesroll.gif , ugh...

If they're going to bother with sex ed. learning FAM inside and out should be a required part of the course...

Oh yeah, God forbid we enjoy our sexuality and actually learn something useful! Instead of grossing us out with pictures of STD's how 'bout a lengthy month on fertility awareness. SO much more important. Using fear to motivate instead of information... eyesroll.gif

I remember when I learned about fertility awareness my first thought was "WHY did I not know about this before?!". Seriously, I spent some time in my teenage years thinking there is something wrong with me because of all the "stretchy-goo". The only explanation I got was that it is normal but because no one actually saw what I was talking about I did not buy it. I'm dead set on teaching DD about it when she's about to reach puberty. I really feel knowledge about this will not turn teenage girls into irresponsible nymphos! A lot of the mothers in our baby group are ok with giving their girls birth control pills once they reach that age. I have nothing against about women wanting to take the pill, but not 14 or 15 year olds that are not fully developed. That'll just mess them up! OK I'll stop the rant!

JustJenny - I totally missed your location.. cool! I'm up for it too, I'm there for only a few days but a gluten-free cafe sounds like a great idea. We don't have those in Germany. It'll be funny though trying to explain to my family where I know you guys from "we're on the trying to make babies forum." haha I can already see my father's face bigeyes.gif.

AFM - So this cycle is getting weirder. AFTER my cervix literally closed up and all fertile CM was gone (for several days), my body decides, "Time to pop an egg!". I had ovulation pain and a sustained temp shift for the last few days. Can one ovulate with the cervix closed shut and no fertile CM? Of course I missed it all so I'm now out this cycle unless the little dudes survive for 5 days in feverish sick me . Ah well, at least I know it will not be too long until AF comes around.

I'm actually looking forward to this week, my boss is on vacation and we have a long weekend coming up. It's Karneval here so there'll be lots of drunk (yet harmless) people in funny costumes roaming the street come Thursday.  On Sunday they have the kid's version of "Karneval" which will be fun for DD, even though I'm not looking forward to her being pumped on sweets...

Using fear instead of information seems to be a running theme everywhere for everything duh.gif .

Yes, exactly! I was having serious O pain every month too (always have) and I was told I needed to drink more water lol. They tried the best way they knew though now didn't they? I will definitely be teaching the ins and outs of FAM to my boys when the time comes. At least if they don't get all freaked out about talking about DTD stuff with their mom at that age lol.gif . DH can handle a good potion of that with them when they're teens doing their guy thing but I think this information is so important for them to have. They can add it too there cache of reproductive knowledge orngbiggrin.gif . And it goes w/o saying if we ever have a girl she'll be able to understand what's going on with her body from day 1.

Me, I've been passing out the last few days around 7:45 or so after I get the boys bathed and ready for bed. Still trying not to get too excited here. Just things that make you go "Hmm..."

John - Woo hoo!!!

JustJenny - That sucks. Hugs!

Fertility signs - I actually knew about these as a teen. I didn't use it (and also wasn't super responsible as a teen), but I was aware of it. I'll teach it to my daughter, but I'd be supportive of her using the pill, too.

13dpo. Meant to test yesterday and today, but a congested preschooler not sleeping well kept me awake enough that I peed several times during the night and figured that it'd probably be negative either way. I'm hoping to test tomorrow and not obsess today. Once I drop the eldest off at school, the youngest and I will head off to the library and go sledding!

goodvibes.gif om.gif   dust.gif lotsa good stuff coming your way Revolting!! love.gif

It's CD 11 today and O hasn't shown up yet on my OPK's so we're havin' fun BD'ing everyday. My thinking is BD til O shows up on a stick and for another day or 2 and then stop, if ya want winky.gif

Last night we had dinner kind of late so we watched a little tv, after 2 shows DP said, "I'm really full, but I want a baby..." headscratch.gif  lol that took me a minute to unwind in my head.  I was expecting the rest of the sentence to be I'm really full, but I want chocolate or something like that...But the actual meaning was...I'm really full, perhaps too full to comfortably BD, but I'll put that aside so we can make a baby-Love him.

revolting - goodvibes.gif Best of luck! Hope this is the month!

prescottchels - lol.gif Wish we had your energy!

mamacatsbaby - still feeling wiped out in the evening?

AFM - I'm happy today! It's been a while since I got excited about AF arriving but it did this morning. Shortest cycle ever (22 days). Now I'm feeling 90% recovered from the flu, I'm putting that weird cycle behind me and hoping this is the month!  The only problem now is if I do get pregnant and it is anything like the last time, I'll be comatose during my brother's wedding... but I don't care. I want a baby!

LilyKay-so glad you're feeling better!! Sometimes our Spirits are more willing than our tired bodies lol but we don't have kiddos yet to wear us out or otherwise distract us from BDing and we want that SO much! lol.gif

Revolting!! So So excited for you!! Yahooooo!! love.gif

I think I had a positive OPK last night, but it wasn't much different looking than the 2 lines I'd already been getting (1 dark test line, and 1 lighter-which is sposed to be a neg result) Last night both lines seemed the same color... shrug.gif but I took it and then forgot about it for like an hour, guess I'll do it again today and see what happens...

Yup I LOVE tricks and sneaking up on her... this time it did not end well! I sneaked on her while she was on the potty and I think the mud was starting to dry up and it looked weird. She flipped out and started crying. I felt so bad so I wanted to comfort her but she did not want me anywhere near. DP was quite upset with me. I washed it off immediately and then all was good, she was happy again. Mother of the year award here please!

Aww, don't beat yourself up too much LilyKay. Kids are funny. We'll be playing some game or another with the kids, they're especially fond of rough and tumble tackling games, and they'll be going nuts with laughter and having a great time. Then boom, somebody gets pushed or something one time to many or when he doesn't want to and the tears and fighting start duh.gif . I think they do it to make us feel guilty winky.gif .

So what are you all up to this weekend? It's snowy and cold here and it's after 2pm and I'm still in my jammies watching TV on hulu and crunching numbers for taxes.

It's CD 15 and the closest to a positive OPK was CD 11 (but I'm not sure, cuz this is the 1st cycle I've ever used them), and/but I'm still testing and we're still BDing lol DP is bound & determined orngbiggrin.gif  I had bodywork this past week, which I do regularly, and my friend was so confused by the differences in my body that she told me to POAS, again, cuz to her hands I felt pg. It was negative. eyesroll.gif and of course we're still trying, so I feel like I'm straddling some weird limbo land...and wondering if I should get a different brand of hpt or if my mind is just sooooo powerful that I'm manifesting big changes in my body cuz I want to be pg so bad dizzy.gif
