Hi all! This is my first time on any kind of forum. I am 39 years old, have 2 boys from my previous marriage. I am married again to a wonderful man who is younger by 8 years and has never had a child. We have been ttc for about a year now. I have been taking clomid and just finished cycle 2 with it. My history is that i tried with child #1 for a few years before discovering that I had endometriosis (my 1st is now 13 yrs old). I had 2 laporscopic procedures along with taking clomid before finally getting pregnant. With baby #2 i was able to get pregnant about 2 1/2 years later with no help and not really trying. That brings me to now...i have not been on bc pills for about 15 years, we have not done anything to prevent this (even before we were trying) and no baby. :-(
I decided to go to the dr and he prescribed me clomid. I have also had blood work done to see if I am at the menopause stage and I'm not. He said that I seem to be ovulating but now has me taking 100 mg of clomid, performing daily ovulation tests and being intimate with hubby every other day.
I guess what worries me is that I know I have endometriosis and I know that causes fertility issues but my dr wants to try the clomid first before doing any kind of surgery to remove any implants I may have from the endometriosis. My age makes me want to rush. Has anyone out there taken clomid---who did ovulate on their own and was able to get their BFP?? I hate this feeling of desperation!!!
I did on my second cycle of clomid at the increased dose 100 mg I got a BFP. I'm due in September. However, my problem is PCOS and not endo.
Me (34) (PCOS), DH (36) and DD1 (4) and DD2(1). We are going to go for a third. Now, will we succeed?
