Hi, my name is Kerry.
I just signed up today. I been going to my fertlity doc for a few months now. And im just confused on things. I have questions.
So I wasnt getting my period. which is what brought me to the doc in the first place.
So we find out I have PCOS and a Under active thyriod. So I was put on syndriod and metphormin. And started clomid on feb 15th. Last period started on the 13th.
They said I ovulated a week ago. So now im about 7dpo. They told me today my was progesterone is 5? And to take progesterone suppositories tonight?
What does 5 meen? is that pregnant? idk I'm so confused is there anyone who can explain this to me?
Oh and I had one egg on my right side, and cyst on my left ovary.
That sounds like pretty standard protocol for someone with PCOS. Your progesterone level doesn't really tell you if you are pregnant or not. It tells you if your body is making enough progesterone to support a pregnancy. Doctors usually look for a level above 12 or 15, so the supplement is to bring up your progesterone level in case you are pregnant. You can't stay pregnant without progesterone. You could probably take a test in 5 days or so. You may want to read Taking Charge of Your Fertility. Many women find it very helpful. Good luck!
