I'm 20 months pp and no ppaf. I took this test this morning. It looks faint, but I think it's positive. What do you think? Going to buy a different brand later to re-test.

Ok, well, I peed on three more sticks - all positive. I think I'm likely due in the second week of February. Put a call in to my midwife to get a dating ultrasound. I'm a bit shocked as I had started to believe it wouldn't happen without weaning smile.gif

Oh wow, congratulations!!! It's so thrilling to hear you've caught the first egg, and didn't need to wean! Congrats congrats and many sticky vibes for you! :) goodvibes.gif And you know I have to ask...any changes to nursing patterns lately? Did you feel ovulation or notice your CM changing?

I saw an herbalist today. I'm going to start Vitex and a tea she prepared. I'm well enough convinced that they're safe for nursing. We shall see how it goes.

I swore that I felt ovulation and saw fertile CM so many times that I stopped trusting it. So, yes, I provably felt something but thought it was nothing again. Last week I swore I felt pregnant but tested negative at the time. that's probably not helpful. i have PCOS so my naturo gave me inisitol which can help kickstart ovulation.

Well, I don't know if I ovulated or not.  I thought I would take another OPK today...just to see (I know, I know)...and it basically looked the same as it did a couple of days ago (when I thought I ovulated).  No more OPK's for me.  I did have some super EWCM during that time, and my nipples started hurting during that time.  I don't have the EWCM any more and my nipples are still sensitive.  I guess I'll see in 2 weeks if I really ovulated or not. :)

RosieL - I've thought about starting Vitex before, but I chickened out. :)  I am interested to see how it works for you!  Good luck!

Sukhada - I haven't heard of using inisitol for PCOS before - did you notice any side effects from it?

No side effects, except it has a mild laxative effect which is great a keeping the bowels moving regularly. http://www.pcosdietsupport.com/supplements/inositol-and-pcos/

RosieL - I'm also interested to hear about how taking vitex goes.  I've read about it, but I've been too scared to take anything without talking to my doctor first and also worried about its affect on breastfeeding.  I'm going to see my doctor in two days for my annual exam and planning to talk to her about not being able to get pregnant yet... I'm hoping she has some useful advice for me... also hoping I'll get my BFP in a week or so and not have to worry about it anymore.

Congrats, Sukhada!

I just ordered some amazon OPKs. I can't stay away. Sigh. I will basically have to pee on one every day until I ovulate, which could be a year, so this is silly.

Any particular reason for chickening out?

I was pretty concerned trying out herbs on my own, which is why I consulted an herbalist. This woman's qualifications were impeccable, I very much liked her manner and thoroughness, and she explained each recommendation in detail. She mentioned that Vitex is a galactagogue, had has been used for many years as such. This quelled my slight concerns about nursing.

Anyway, we shall see.

Hi Ladies, I've been pretty quiet lately because life has been insane, but I'm still here.  DS is 14 months next week, and still no sign of PPAF.  Erg!  He's been night weaned since January, kind of, but this last weekend we really did it. I've been sleeping soundly with my older boys and DH has been sleeping with him.  Hopefully that will help. I'm also taking Maca, Vitex, progesterone cream, and I'm going to see an accupuncturist after we move next week to see if I can get things going. I want to be pregnant NOW, but it looks like there are other plans for me.  I need to go do some Yoga or something.

RosieL - I just ordered some amazon wondfo's.  I like to test..a lot.  Gotta love Amazon.  I am sure I'll end up going back and ordering some OPK's also.  I know it sounds silly, but I am afraid if I take herbs I'll end up with triplets or something.  I know it doesn't happen, but that would be my luck.  I took Maca for a while at one point, but it just gave me diarrhea, lol.

Hi piratemere!  It sounds like you're doing all the right stuff - hopefully it will work!! Love your avatar pic, btw!! :)

Hey! I feel your frustration/impatience. I'm there with you. Here's hoping! Are you looking for or noticing CM changes? I keep noticing cramps and CM changes...but I honestly am not sure what is normal and what is wishful thinking.  namaste.gif

I was test-crazy the first time around. I don't want to be that way this time, but I also don't want to pay for a dating ultrasound, so I'm testing HCG weekly and I'm probably going to start OPKs. I only want to start OPKs because I'm curious how the herbs affect me. Also, the cramping I'm feeling makes me imagine that my follicles are almost there, almost ovulating, but then not quite getting an egg out...

I missed morning tide's post in the May thread. Sorry for your loss. :hugs:

If you find good info on nursing and risk (or lack of risk) of an early loss, will you post it?

Hey Jaxz (or anybody else) - when you get sore nipples around ovulation, how long does it last?  My soreness has gone away.

fishywishy - For me it usually lasts about five or six days.

On another note, I am 10 DPO and got a very faint BFP this morning!  joy.gif  I want to jump up and down and yell it out the windows, but I have had a little bit of spotting since yesterday, so I am a little bit paranoid because that didn't happen when I got pregnant with my son.  I guess only time will tell.  Has anyone else experienced spotting around the time of a BFP?

Why oh why did I buy a pack of Wondfo's?  I have gotten 3-4 super super super super faint lines since yesterday afternoon (yeah, I get a little obsessed when testing - hence the Wondfo's).  The lines are there, they look like they have color...

I am sure it's evaps or false positives though, it looks like Wondfo has recently released a faulty batch. boo. We will see.

I tried to take pictures of a couple of the tests to post, but the lines are so difficult to see I doubt anyone could see them.

Thanks, fishywishy!!  smile.gif  Are you testing pregnancy or ovulation with the Wondfos (I'm guessing pregnancy)?  All I've used so far are Wondfo pregnancy tests... the lines have been pretty faint, as it's still super early, but they are definitely there.  I've gotten LOTS of negatives (which I stared at forever and looked at from every possible angle to make sure there was no hint of a line) with my Wondfos and never a false positive.  How many DPO are you?  Keeping my fingers crossed for you!

Hey jaxz - I'll be 8 dpo tomorrow...er, later this morning. :) Still seems kind of early to get any kind of line.  Hmm, good to know - maybe the lines will be a tiny bit darker when I test again.

Hi everyone. I guess I am back in my second round of the 2 week wait (was late to get back ot last month). I guess it was denial I suppose with a 35 day cycle (first one post partum at 17.5 months and longest one ever). I get obsessive with dollar store tests so I will be reasonable this time. What are these Wondfo's? Can you get them in Canada? Positive patient thoughts for all of you.

Momma Michael - Wondfos are super cheap ovulation and pregnancy test strips.  I usually buy them on Amazon, so I'm assuming you could get them in Canada, but I don't know for sure:
