I got one of these this morning, so I guess I'm an August graduate. My period won't even be late for like three or four more days so I'm trying to just be cautiously optimistic. That said, squeeeee!

Congrats Mamajen and Tolovemercy!

I either needed some good news or a big glass of wine after a long stressful work week and family drama. So I POAS after work today and BFN. I'm 12DPO, so 99% sure I'm out this cycle. I'm expecting AF either tonight or tomorrow some time.

We moved our f/u apt with the fertility doc till the end of Aug. DH wants to try one more month naturally before discussing Clomid. He's pretty anxious about the whole twins risk factor. I'm not too keen on that idea either, but I'd take it over no babies :) I feel like it would be pretty awful in the beginning, but then I think it'd get easier as they got older. I'll let you know when I'm officially out. Cheers and have a good weekend everyone!

Hi all! I'm new here so I thought I would introduce myself. I am 'waiting to O' bc AF just came today. So that ended a 40 day cycle but we weren't really looking to get pregnant in July since I work at a school so am hoping for a May or later baby so the birth is during the summer time. But I must have O'd later than normal bc I gave up doing OPKs bc I just assumed that I had O'd early. So that would explain why I had such a long cycle. For me at least. On average for the last year I have a 34 day cycle with O happening around cd 21/22. I use the Wondfo type ovulation test strips to figure out when I'm ovulating. I pray this time around I don't have to get as serious as having to do BBT because that just seems like a lot of work! I have a 2 1/2 year old daughter that we got pregnant with after 2 cycles. Shocked me how quick that was. I was naive then, and now I know much more about the whole process and what could go wrong etc. So I never was worried about 'if' I could get pregnant but just 'when' it would happen. Miscarriage never crossed my mind! So hopefully I can not stress about this type of stuff this time around! lol. I have been taking prenatal vitamins for 3-4 months now. I have been off my other meds for 2 months now so hopefully that is out of my system.

I do have one question. When do you DTD? Especially around O time how often? Like everyday 3 days before, the day of, and everyday 3 days after? So for like a week straight? Idk if I can do that much! lol.

Boo Gator-mom :(

Welcome neighner! Hope your stay is short here! This is the info on the fertile window from Fertility Friend:

Your fertile window is made up of the days in your menstrual cycle when pregnancy is possible. The length of this fertile phase is determined by the maximum life span of your partner's sperm and your egg. Sperm can survive a maximum of five days in fertile cervical fluid and your ovum can survive for up to one day. Your theoretical fertile window is thus six days long, comprised of the five days before ovulation and the day of ovulation. You only have a chance to conceive when you have intercourse on these days. This means that pregnancy is technically possible from intercourse on any of these six days. The likelihood of actually becoming pregnant, however, is dramatically increased when you have intercourse in the three days immediately leading up to and including ovulation. This makes a practical fertile window of just three days.

In a recent analysis of 119,398 charts from women charting with Fertility Friend, we found that 94% of women who became pregnant had intercourse on at least one of these three days. For conception purposes, it is thus ideal to have intercourse during a three day fertile window which includes your ovulation day and the two previous days.

This is my cycle from when I got PG with DD. It wasn't a week straight of BD haha, I don't think I could handle that either.

AFM, I think I Od! Have to wait for the next couple temps to be sure, but my temp is way up today. Fingers crossed cause BD timing would be really good with 2 days before O and day of O!

Thank you for the new thread, delightedbutterfly. Welcome neighner! CD2 here so please move me to waiting to O. Even though I got that clear positive on the Wondfo on 14DPO, the next morning was a negative on a FRER and AF showed right after. I'm pretty sure it was a bad Wondfo. It was faint yet evident; it was pink and showed up within 3 minutes. It seemed like some others online were maybe having issues with the same batch. I'm going to post the lot number to help anyone else who might be searching on it. W00120694-3 Exp 6/2014

I've haven't had a variation from 12 day LP in years. So that was weird. However, it was also the first cycle I didn't temp in over a year, so I can't really guarantee it was 14 by just going on the OPK. Oh well, onward I go! Looking forward to this month. Yay for August! Good luck everyone.

Welcome neighner!

Still on vacation and having troubles getting to my netbook to update the main thread so keep posting your changes and I will get to them, it just may be a couple days!

With that being said, vacation is not making it easy to DTD! I was really hoping we could get in another go this morning but we're camping in FIL's driveway and DH got up super early and now everyone is here
greensad.gif

And I'm heading off halfway through today to do some other stuff and spending the night separate from DH. We won't have another chance until tomorrow night.

And if my predictions based on my last two cycles are correct then O will happen tomorrow
smile.gif

Yesterday was CD 8 and I had a mini temp spike, followed by today's CD 9 temp drop and that happened the last two cycles on those days as well. So tomorrow I should get a large temp spike. And we only managed DTD on CD 6 & CD 8. Not horrible but not as good as I was hoping. All I can do is let DH know that we have to find a way to sneak it in tomorrow and Tuesday if we can. It would be awesome if we could fine a time and place today too but I don't think that's feasible!

I was so bummed after last cycle that I needed this vacation to take my mind off it, but potentially "Oing" during vacay is brining it back! Plus everyone is bugging us! Especially since I was watching a friend's 5 month old twins yesterday at a big weekend long tournament and a ton a people we haven't seen in forever were stopping by and commenting how we needed more!

I think delightedbutterfly and I are on the same cycle, and the same path of frustration via camping! I just spent most of my fertile window in a tent with tiny people (DDs1 and 2 crawling all over me all night, with my partner stuck on the other side of them. Definitely not ideal for making anything happen, and I am also expecting to O tomorrow. My partner is feeling sick and exhausted tonight, so nothing doing now, either, and I'm trying to be chill about it, because really, it's not all that urgent that I get pregnant this cycle, but still, now that we've decided to try for another one, I want a baby YESTERDAY!!! ok, back to zen. Good luck to all! and congrats to our two who are already on their way!

Hello newbies and returners!

Congrats to Mamajen and Tolovemercy!
joy.gif

AF is due is 3 days and I haven't tested yet. hubs and I have pretty much decided to just let things happen as they may. As a matter of fact, I have even given up the preseed and all that good stuff. Once I let go of wanting this baby so bad, we got back to having fun. And boy are having fun trying to make one

Anyone feel like taking a guess as to when I ovulated? At first I was getting a hashed red line on CD 15, but when I inputted this morning's temperature, I got a message that they couldn't determine my ovulation date. I think the analyzer is confused as to whether I ovulated on CD 13 or CD 15. I have short (25 or 26 day) cycles, and other calculators indicated that just by counting days, I'd probably O on CD 13. It's kind of academic at this point, but I'm curious.

#19 ·
Hello everyone! I'm new to all of this and not really trying to conceive but not, NOT trying to.. if that makes sense..? just going with the flow :)
im just super curious. I know I ovulated yesterday and also had sex yesterday.. when would be the best time to take a test??

#20 ·
MamaJen My guess would be CD15! To me that seems to be when the range of your temps started staying higher. So exciting!

AFM, FF has given me crosshairs and put me at 3DPO so can I be moved to Waiting to Know? Thanks!!

Does everyone on here chart their bbt? I haven't yet. So far I have just been using wondfo strips for about a year now to figure out when I most likely would be ovulating. I have kept track of that and when my period is. But we haven't been TTC during that time but I knew we would be starting this month so I wanted to have an idea so we could get down to business right away.
winky.gif
Charting seems like a lot of work. Maybe I'm over thinking it. But I guess if God forbid it does take us a long time to get pregnant and we have to go see a doctor will they ask for a bbt chart? And if i don't have one will they send us packing until we have one that shows at least a few months?

#22 ·
MamaJen - I would say day 14 or 15 for O. Have you tried discarding the one open temp on day 13?

NewbieB - I would say wait at least 12-14 days before taking a test
smile.gif
Welcome!!!

Neighner - not charting is cool too, I am only charting this time because of previous miscarriages and our second did take a year of trying. But I would possibly start a few months before a specialist appointment if you were to be having troubles. They do like to see charts usually and while they would move ahead with testing, they would also have you chart as well and having charts ahead of time would help answer some questions for them

Hey everyone, can I be added to waiting to be ready?

I just had a D&C following a missed miscarriage at 8 weeks. Now I'm eagerly awaiting my first full cycle so I can get back to business. Even though I'm waiting this cycle out I want to chart so I can keep track of what's going on. I'm not really sure what to expect post D&C, my doctor said it could be anywhere from 2 to 6 weeks before I ovulate again.

Here's a link to my chart http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/36665a
