Hello everyone.

I was just wondering if anyone else out there is TTC while having Endometriosis. My husband and I were married in 06/2008. After a very painful honeymoon I found out that I had stage 4 Endometriosis, as well as a grapefruit size mass on my right ovary. While trying to decide my options, the mass began to rupture and I had to have emergency surgery. They removed the ovary, as well as a lot of scar tissue. My doctor recommended that we begin TTC again as soon as I was recovered.

4 years later, no babies and the pain started again. The doctor found that my Endometriosis was back to a stage 4. I underwent another surgery and then was put on Lupron and Depo for 6 months. When those cycles were over I was put on estrogen and progesterone. After my cycle returned to normal the doctor told us we should try TTC naturally for the next 12 months. We didn't have a chance to try as my husband was deployed to Afghanistan.

He returned home on September 1, 2013 and this is the first time we have been able to try in nine months. I am in currently in the TWW and extremely anxious!!

I am trying not to get my hopes up so I do not feel defeated yet again. Any success stories about getting pregnant after surgeries for Endometriosis? I would love to hear them.

Good luck ladies!!

Hi Susan,

I'm not currently TTC, but I have endometriosis, so I feel your pain!

I was successful in getting pregnant after surgeries for severe endometriosis. I was given a less than 7% chance/likelihood of getting pregnant after the surgeries, based on the severity of the endo I had, but I did get pregnant. :joy Feel free to PM if you'd like to chat more.
