Today is day 12 and I had another ultra sound and I'm feeling worried because the doctor said there wasn't really anything there yet. Last month I got a +OPK on day 18. My cycles are usually about 30 days so both the dr. and hubby said its too early and nothing is wrong. But I was so sure when I woke up that things were great because my sex drive has gone nuts and there was lots of CM (I've never quiet understood how to categorize my CM). So I'm probably being silly but I'm worrying.
I'm glad to go to doctor who tonight I could use a fun distraction.

I'm still not sure when or if should test so maybe you guys can help me.  According to my app, I should have O'd on Nov 8, which means we DTD every other day from Nov 3-8.  I got a positive OPK test on Nov 20 and we DTD on Nov 17, 20, 21/22. AF is due on either Nov 27 or Nov 30.

When the heck should I test?confused.gif

I'd just test 14 days from the positive OPK. Even if it took you a day or two to ovulate after that, I like to think of 11 DPO as 'fair game'.

I'm trying to stay positive....and on a good note I am trying out the Diva Cup for the first time, and I absolutely love it!

innacircle - thank you for your support!  :hug

Becka - usually, your LP will stay pretty constant, so if you O two days later theoretically AF will show about two days later.  That's not definite - just sort of a rule of thumb.

rosie - shoot, I was really hoping that was implantation spotting.  And I'm sorry you are coming down with something -- get better soon!!

delighted - I don't understand why your cycle was so short.  What could cause that?!  That has to be infuriating.  I also wanted to send hugs regarding the post you wrote about having a hesitating feeling about TTC.  I wish the answers were easier to come by.

Jesepumpkin - I am so sorry.  It's such a wretched feeling and there is just no sense to it.

nikwhit - those do seem odd to me.  I thought vaginal temps were known for being stable!  I know my temps (not vaginal) are kind of all over the place sometimes, but I've been temping so long that I can see the patterns anyway.  This is your first cycle temping, right?

AFM - I have been testing to see if I can track the dropping hcg.  It's still high.  I wonder if I have any hope of ovulating this cycle.  I do not think I will take a cycle off ... at 40 I just feel like I don't have a lot of time to spare, but I wonder if it's a bad idea not to wait a little.

No, I'm pretty sure its not supposed to do that. Maybe you slept with your vagina open? :rotflmao Is it a new thermometer? I had a problem with a thermometer being just plain 'bad'.

Jenjy, I didnt think that was right!!! Yes, this is my first month charting. I didnt think anything of it until my DH said, why are they always so differnt? So I got to looking around, and they look wonky:(

WifeofAnt, lmfao!!!!!!!! I do sleep naked on average every other night....now you have me wondering if the lower temps were from those nights!!!

On a sadder note, I just checked the shipping of the OPK's I ordered.... they wont be here until Dec 9th-Jan 9th...are you freaking kidding me?? AND, I looked at their reviews after already ordering...the sticks suck, some peoples have been in bags of water, some were bent, some have invisible lines that dont show at all no matter when youre O'ing or not:(:( grrrrrr:(

Please move me to WAITING TO KNOW.  I think I officially felt ovulation!  Kind of exciting and also makes me wish I would have paid attention and took note at other times in my life.  Anyway, DTD 6 times in 4 days each time with EWCM and/or Positive OPK.  The surge lasted for 2 days, felt ovulation yesterday, DTD twice.  Today I had the tiniest amount of EWCM, should we give it another go tonight?  What would you do? I am soooo tired! ;-)  My temps are confusing, mainly bc I have been sleeping restless that last couple nights probably due to wonky late nights, so I don't have a clear read on a drop in temp or a coverline yet.  Hoping the next few days paint a clearer picture.  I just keep believing what TCOYF told me to do, focus on the EWCM over anything else (or at least that is what I took away from the book).

I have been lurking on here and reading everyone's posts.  You all are so supportive and encouraging!  I enjoy this group.

I tested last night and got a big fat NEGATIVE. I don't know why I even bothered. Anyway, I think I'm done trying for a while. It's obvious that I'm not going to get pregnant until this weight comes off so I guess I will just focus on that for the next few months. Best of luck to you ladies and take care.

You said in a previous post that you got a pos OPK test on Nov. 20, so that would mean that you O'd either the 21 or 22, which would only make you 4 or 5 days post ovulation, which would be way too early to test.  I would give it another week.

NaturallyMo, I was going to write exactly what kateaton did.  I don't know what app you are using but it doesn't sound like it's based on temperatures.  I know you said according to the app you O'd earlier this month, but the OPK is probably more reliable.  It sounds like you tested way too early, so please do not give up hope.

@jenyjy and @kateaton  Maybe I did test too early. See! All this stuff is so confusing and stressful at times. I guess I will wait and see if AF shows - that's pretty much the best indicator right?

November has 4 days left and we have NO BFPs on this thread all month long!  I think December's arrival will be just what we all needed-- we can all start from a clean slate!

Mo- don't give up so easy... you have some time yet before you can count that BFN as final.

Jessepumpkin- so sorry for your loss. wishing you a full recovery and another BFP very soon.  I would encourage you not to rush your body's healing process, though.

Wifeofant- your "vagina open" comment totally cracked me up!

Edubluv- yay to feeling ovulation.  That kind of makes it a little more real and a little less abstract, but when in doubt, I would say it never hurts to give it another go ;)

AFM- I'm now on CD 16 and waiting to know.  I was a little lax with the temping this month, but I have been Oing around CD 12-13, and this month's CM seems consistent with that, so I guess we'll see by mid December.  I have a better feeling about this month than I have in the last few.  If it pans out, I would have the same EDD as I did with my 1st pregnancy 12 yrs ago.  Talk about full circle ;).

Wishing you all a warm and meaningful Thanksgiving with all the blessings of love and family.  Although it's easy to feel challenged when something so all-consuming and life-changing as TTC isn't going right yet, I (we?) have so much to be grateful for, and in many ways it will be nice to shift focus to "gratitude for what is going right" for a few days.  Enjoy the holiday (and happy hanukkah to all that celebrate as well).

Wow. I didn't even realize that and I'd be the one entering them. I guess this means the August DDC won't be as busy as the average month. I'm going to go recheck but I don't remember any. Maybe I'm an unlucky OP. :(  How long do people usually stay as the OP of a TTC ONE Thread?

So my DH let me test since I'm 42 days no cycle... Still BFN. Here's to hoping that my hcg levels are just still really low and in 3 weeks I'll have great December news. I don't even know what to say we are at this point. Still TTC is the only thing we know for sure.

Oh Lord!  What a mess!  I think someone else said - and I agree -  that since you got +OPK on 11/20, then I'd wait till 2 weeks after that.  You say AF is due the 27th or 30th though....is your LP always this short?  I know you said your dr doesn't think that PCOS is a possibility, but I'm still leary.  Not trying to be Debbie Downer here.  But your app is saying you should O at one time, yet you're getting +OPKs at another time.  Just seems very strange to me.  I would push to at least be tested for it.  I was following this couple on another site.  They had been trying for almost 2 YEARS!  And her cycles were all wonky too.  But she would randomly get +OPKs.  But it turned out her body was gearing up to O occasionally, so she would get the random +OPK.  But she was not actually O'ing, thus no BFP in all that time.  So she went to a fertility specialist who diagnosed her with PCOS and within like 3 months she was pregnant.  She just had to take some medication to make her O.  I hope that's not the case for you.  I just hate the idea of you trying and trying and not ever knowing when you'll O or have a period.  I would push for SOME EXPLANATION!  But hopefully this is your month!:goodvibes:1praying

I was pretty bummed, thought for sure I was ovulating yesterday! I am on cd 28, this is the longest it has taken. For those of you that get O pain, does your temp usually rise the next day? Thanks so much!

I don't temp chart, but the EWCM for 5 days and then O pain sounds very textbook.  If you BD'd a lot leading up to those pains (and even afterwards), then I think you've done all you could.  Welcome and good luck!

I'd like to scream this same question too. It was just so ironic to experience my 45 day cycle of miserable symptoms my first month TTC when I've been at 31 days and light symptoms for years now. Now at CD 9, been temping this cycle and using some natural supplementation, keeping my chin up I guess.

I sense a group funk here right now. Too many losses and no BFP''s as of yet. I am thinking of you all right now and so thankful this little mini-community exists to share our feelings when most IRL folks wouldn't relate to our current journeys. Be kind to yourselves. joy.gif That's me throwing some love around for all of us sans big goofy grin of course.

Ugg, on another note, I need to BD tonight, tomorrow night, and the next night. Probably should have last night, but didnt even want to talk to my DH let alone be in the same bed with him. He works A LOT, and I understand that, but damn, when you are not working, can I at least be a priority? You know, before your ex's issues, the 3 million texts you get, WOW, and the freaking guys??? I told him I refuse to be the kind of GF who demands or begs him to spend time with me. So, of course on his one night off all month, he stays home, out of guilt. No, that doesnt count. YOU MADE PLANS TO GO WITH THE GUYS....me having to say something doesnt count:( I guess I just need to suck it up and get neked... pfft, :(  Fertility friend gave me cross hairs this am, but I know its not right:( I know I havent O'd yet, its just my screwy temps:( http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/4975ae

Ive asked this question on other boards but really didnt get an answer.... anyone deal with Low T, and their DH on the Andro patch? Does Low T affect TTC? Ive tried googling it, but still havent gotten a definite answer.

It is sad that we havent had any BFP's this month:( I know if we dont get the egg this month, we will not be trying until Jan, as my angel son Jacobs b-day is Sept 19th, and I would be scared to death of going into labor accidental that day, it would never be ok:( Hopefully we get it this month tho!!!

So I'm freaking out that something is wrong another -OPK today faint line even less then yesterday when I had EWCM. No CM today so now I'm really freaking out that maybe I don't O or that the faint line yesterday was my + and now we've lost our chance to try IUI this month. I need good news at my ultrasound tomorrow or I think I'll just cry. I feel like the Hanukkah gift I got hubby is just pointless if we don't try this month. I think I lost all my positive feels.

I'm not fertile. :energy

My body has been trying so hard, unsuccessfully, to ovulate. I think this AF might have actually hit a reset button in my ovaries so I'm actually starting at the beginning of a cycle at the beginning of my cycle. Of course this means I may ovulate before my baby making window opens. We're still trying to avoid August due dates (and due dates within a week of August). That means I'd be cutting it too close ovulating anywhere before CD 25, which is late even for my PCOS standards.

  • WifeofAnt that is really great news:) My FF put me at 5 dpo today, and a O at CD 9, which just cannot be true. I also learned some things about the Andro patch my DH is on for Low T, bad news. so we have put off TTC until January, to give his body a chance to get the fake T out of his system, and get him on some HCG shots, to help us TTC. We would try next month, but my due date would be my angel son Jacobs birthday, and i just cannot emotionally go through a pregnancy knowing that. Ill still hang out, and will hopefully be joining a birth group in January or February:)

We are also finding out if his insurance covers transplants, but if not, he get s a bonus in March, as well as taxes, so we can always use that money to have it done:)

On a sad note, he feels just horrible about all of this, it started with the ability to not be able to BD, and that was rough, now he knows he is the reason we cannot have a baby right now, and it hurts him so much:( Im making light of it in front of him, telling him the next couple months will give us a chance top get uber healthy before TTC again, and hoping that makes him feel batter. When he isnt home tho, I cry:(

Just came back from the doctor. She wants me off the progesterone since it's messing with my cycles. She was just as shocked as everyone else with the 14 day cycle. DH and I have a lot to talk about. I think we'll still go ahead with trying but our Dr situation here is so bad I could end up going back home to deliver (16-18hr drive) or to the town 2.5 hrs away where we know nobody. And if I am allowed to deliver here (an anesthetic/BMI thing) I may see a different dr for every appointment which I'm not ok with. Only one doctor here is not doing that. And my doctor is heavily pregnant and going on mat leave at the end of Dec. She's supposed to have a Locum but doesn't know if the Locum will be here for the whole leave and she doesn't know if *she* is coming back either. Which is scarey as well. I have Dr aniexty issues and I really really like her.

So back to no meds and simply trying on our own. Slowly starting to feel better but not fully greensad.gif

That's a lot to think about! I have considered using the prog cream, but was afraid it could mess with my cycles. Think I'll pass for sure now. Only reason I wanted to try was bc I usually have low prog after BFP. I also fear tho that if I do get a BFP with a non viable pregnancy, that the extra prog will just prolong the sad inevitable....

AFM: question....anyone ever feel a bit irritated down there after coming off period? I've had tons of BV issues in the past. But it's been a lot better in the past year or so. But I always feel like my PH is off after my period. And when we BD right after AF is done, I feel like it kind of hurts. Just a little. Part of me even wonders if it's just in my head cause I'm so scared it's gonna hurt. KWIM? Or maybe I'm tense cause of the fear, which is what actually makes it hurt? Anywho...AF is gone and we're back in the saddle...DH better get prepared cause we are going to try extra hard this month. If we have another episode like last month where we only "try" one time 4-5 days prior to O, I might just strangle him. Today is CD7, well technically 8 now that it's 12:55am...glad to get rid of old sperm and put "fresh troops" on the front line. Lol!

Oh yah, wifeofant, have you talked to dr about your anovulatory cycles? That has got to be SOOOO frustrating! Would you consider clomid or other drugs? Have you considered PCOS? I swear I'm not trying to diagnose everyone with PCOS! Starting to sound that way! Obviously there are other causes, that's just the main one I hear about...
