Also, the pain I've been having on the right ovary seems to have completely gone away.  You'd think that would be a relief, but it's making me nervous.  I thought a corpus luteum cyst was supposed to stick around through the first trimester.  Uggh, the first trimester is so nerve-wracking.
I know what you mean sweetie. The first trimester is the worst! I don't know...I know I read about someone that had higher concentrations later in the day. Do you have another one of those same brands you could use this afternoon? Do you have a dr that would willingly allow a blood test? Maybe you could get one done now, have it redone in two days, then compare quants. How many kiddos do you have now? Totally irrelevant, but I was thinking you had 3...isn't it so strange how after "so many", you'd think you're body should know what to do. And you'd think our minds would "get it" too. But every pregnancy is a miracle and a mystery! Keep us posted. I hope everything is fine, but I'd totally be freaking out too.

AFM: question...ok, so according to OPK's, I O around day 16-18. And I recall the same from charting years ago with DD1. And with DD1 I concentrated my efforts around 16 with no luck and specialist told me to try earlier. So we did and I got prego. Now, I don't know how this hadn't occurred to me yet, but I went back an looked at BD'g the last two times I got prego (both losses, but still preg), and the last time we DTD during fertile window was CD14. This doesn't make sense to me. Even tho I preach to others what that specialists told me "that sometimes waiting on that +OPK allows the ship to sail without you". So, maybe it's possible that I get a +OPK literally right before O or even during O? Therefore making it too late? With all that being said, I'm just going to go with BD'g on CD14. It's worked in the past. I will likely try to sneak a BD in on CD15 too, but I'm trying to pretend it's not planned wink1.gif. I think the planned BD'g is getting to both DH and I (him more so tho). If we only "try" one day a month, then maybe it won't be so stressful. I feel all the pressure is putting DH in the verge of giving up. So maybe that was the longest most obscure question ever! Or maybe I just want everyone to tell me how this sounds like a brilliant idea. Ha!

rosie I think, and this is my opinion, that BDing a couple days before O is more successful because the sperm that reaches the egg is stronger and the embryo has time to develop properly before implanting a week or so later. I've always gotten pregnant when we DTD much earlier than most - CD11 - CD12ish.

There won't be a need for me to test today. That bleeding from a couple of days ago was the start of an early miscarriage. I'm gonna take a break from the board for a while.

Saharaviolet - I do think the data is skewed toward those who don't easily conceive bc those women will have more data representing their ongoing efforts.  For comparison's sake, if a person takes one month to BFP, they have one month of data.  If a person takes 12 months, they will have 12 months of data.  So 12 times the amount of data to = the same result.  Def skewed!  I think you can search by months TTC though, so maybe that'd be helpful.

kateaton - it's got to be a FMU vs non-FMU issue.  Your right ovary might be getting a little reprieve bc as I understand it the other ovary starts kicking in some hormones too (that's what my MD said).  I hope you get another test, and do FMU tomorrow so you can put your mind at ease (as well as all of ours)!

rosie - maybe your CD 14 is like my CD 12... the magic day.  I think Motivated Mama put it brilliantly when she explained that the stronger sperm are waiting...  not the little pansies that would've died off in 12-24 hours.  Have you ever thought about adding daily 50mg B6 to bring your O-day forward a bit?  That might be interesting to try.

These were dollar store tests and I don't have anymore right now.  I have 1 frer that I may take with fmu tomorrow.  My midwife that I used last time is very hands off and doesn't usually do blood tests.  I guess I could go to my gp and request them, but with new years tomorrow and it already being late in the day, I'll have to wait until thursday.  I do have 3 kiddos, but I've had 1 miscarriage at 11 weeks, and a chemical in october.  Experiencing these losses is traumatizing.  It kind of ruined the first trimester for me.

The idea about the other ovary kicking in makes sense to me, as I've been having discomfort on the left today (nothing like what I had on the right).  I did take my temp this morning and it was at an all time high, so that was comforting.  I need to do some comparisons with the same tests at the same time of day.  I have been an overemotional mess today.  I called dh at work crying because of something my dad said that offended me.  I'm not a crier, nor have I ever called dh at work in tears- so I guess this is a good preggo sign?

I took this test yesterday at 13 DPO (based on best guess...) This is an evap line right? I'm on day 39 and still no AF.. pretty much feel like i've had the flu all day with diarrhea. Ornery as hell too. I'm out of pregnancy tests or I would have taken another one.

I've never had an evap so I'm not much help. But I've used about 20 of those (assuming that's First Signal), and it was always stark white if negative...but I do think the placement of the line does look a tad low and thin....so idk. I hope it's a BFP!!

Good Lord! You ladies that can wait to test...I'm amazed! But you are all stressing me out!! Lol!! I'd already be at the store buying another. Or three.

Lol I'm waiting for my husband to get off work and then I might convince him to take me to walmart real quick. I just feel like I'm crazy. Every sensation I'm afraid I am starting my period and then I run to the bathroom and nothing. I don't know if that test looks like that because it dried out but I know we noticed it last night a while after I took it.. probably a few hours because we went out on a date. I already feel bloated but that could just be from ruining my diet last night. Lol, it's just so incredibly frustrating because I want this to be a baby so bad that I might just be tricking myself.

So, so sorry. I understand your need to take a break. I hope you're one of those people who's fertility increases after an early miscarriage, if that's what you want. Healing emotionally is so important too. greensad.gif

I definitely think crying is a good pregnancy sign. I'm a stone-faced kind of a person (it's innate; I've tried to be huggy and friendly and the glove just doesn't fit) and I find myself breaking down and letting people in when I'm pregnant. It's probably part of the reason DH likes it when I'm pregnant!

I would have said yes to the evap line if you hadn't said you saw it within a couple of hours. Is the picture taken much later? If so, a line's a line, and I can't wait until you test again!

Alivewithyou, I kind of think it looks like an evap or indent.  :(  But please test again and let us know!!

WifeofAnt, you could switch to weekly.  Back when I had to wait to TTC, I lurked a bit and earlier last year the One Thread used to be weekly.  That way you don't feel like you have to commit to the whole month of Jan as OP... just a thought.
