My DH and I got married on 9/30/13 after dating for over 8 years and are now trying to conceive our first child.  We have been actively trying for 4 months now but due to his heart condition we are only able to try 1-2 times during each cycle. He gets very exhausted sometimes and doesn't have the energy.  I figured we could try for 6 months and then try IUI to see if maybe that would help.  We were delayed in trying due to health problems and have already waited 3.5 years just to be able to start trying.  I am hoping I will be able to conceive within the first year.  I guess we will see.

I don't know a lot about which hormones are causing what AND at different phases of the cycle. But is there something that can cause you to all of a sudden be highly irritable with DH? It's like we were feeling all close and in love and now it's like I'm done with him and he's making me cranky! Or do you think I'm just getting ticked we didn't DTD on the last probable day wink1.gif Maybe it is hormonal fluctuations. Anyone know much about this?

You're way more patient than I. I've always heard 18DPO is usually pregnant. And your symptoms! But I guess if you don't know when AF is really due, it could be hard to tell. Fingers crossed!!

rosie - I can tell you're getting antsy to see some good test results. I'm not due to test till Wednesday (although your comment is tempting me)!

wife -not sure what those hormones are but I'm fairly certain that the ones that cause irritation are emitted by men!!

Gah I can't help but symptom watch, and because I just feel so good about this month... I have been having a lot of lower back pain/cramping... And I just felt like it was "right" when I woke up on CD 11 after a late night CD 10 BD... I'm really going to try and hold off on testing until CD 30 but I'm not going to lie I am already having strong POAS desires!

I am so surprised we still haven't seen a BFP in our little world here... Though some symptom spotters seem they could be on to something! :goodvibes

Its been a great comfortable cycle (maybe vitex to thank?) compared to the likely cyst scenario I suffered with last month. (those with BFN's way past their AF due date and lots of crazy symptoms like missed AF, sore breasts etc. ought to look up functional cysts, not to be confused with PCOS, apparently semi-common in childbearing years and quite crazy making. basically its when the cyst that forms at ovulation doesn't release egg or does, gets crazy big, maybe retains fluid, doesn't become corpus luteum and causes yucky symptoms, my symptoms were off the chart yucky, including crying in front of strangers in a strange city and the inability to fit my usual pants. I had to wear one pair that whole trip. It  felt a lot like early pregnancy though the BFNs told me otherwise)  I used some home remedies and when AF came I was so happy to see her!

I have been a bit absent from here because FF has me feeling crazy moving my cross hairs back and forth across my chart, my coverline going up and down. The funny thing is we BD'd one time for each potential move of the cross hairs. But just once for each since the likely early O threw off my plans. Currently ff has me at 8 dpo (the one I feel is correct) but the other option is 5 dpo which would go with my usual 31 day cycle. What really screwed it up was a crazy dip at 7 dpo well below my coverline down almost all the way to the lowest of my pre-o temps and shot all the way up the next morning to one of the higher of my post o temps. If that ends up being an implantation dip, my chart ought to be studied by science as the dippiest of implantation dips ever. Funny how some find the implantation dip idea to be a myth, but FF's own data does show the dip in many pregnancy charts. But then I am a problem mouth breather so maybe my temps are all just nonsense... I won't temp vaginally, I just can't. :blush

So question to tempers, do you input your FF temps right into the app at the crack of dawn and go back to sleep?  I find I can't sleep well after I've seen what my temp does to my chart. I think I might just start writing it down and enter in app later when I get up for the morning.

Well no joy for me this month, AF came three days late, I'm usually bang on 29 days. Perhaps moving house and forgetting to religiously take the Agnus Castus messed things a little.  Who knows, I had a weird feeling I didn't actually ovulate this month, none of the signs and perhaps the lack of pains mid month wasn't due to the laparoscopy making things better, perhaps it just didn't happen? Ugh, who knows. I've been so stressed about so many things, I don't need to make it worse by worrying about this too, not yet, won't help.

Good luck to those waiting still this month, will be keeping my eyes open and fingers crossed for some positive testing!

nikwhit any news??
delighted the timing does sound great, especially since you had all that EWCM. I wish I had your optimism. I'm feeling all pissy and mad we didn't BD one more time! Ha! According to ovuline, we BD'd 4 times during my fertile window and I'm stressing about missing one more chance! Lol! I may be the hardest person to please!
veritas vitae and mjwalker welcome!
scjpyou're killin me smalls! Keep us posted on your symptoms!
saraviloet "dippiest of implantation dips..." LOL!! I don't temp, but I have before and I had a thermometer that stored the last result. So I could take my temp, not even look at it. Then, once I was up for the day, I could turn it on and see what it was and record it at that time. And it wasn't fancy or expensive. Maybe you should try one of those...
country fried sorry. Days late then AF is a real slap in the face!

I might have one!  I say might for lots of reasons... let me explain:

Rosie planted the seed tempting me to test this morning so i did my POAS thing and left the bathroom.  My DH was on his way to the gym so I decided to rush and join him (ridiculously uncharacteristic of me, btw).  I checked the HPT at about 4 mins and didn't see much - there was still lots of pink blur all over my IC test.

We got back from gym an hour later and there IS a line.  It's easy to see if you know where to look.  I can walk up to it and spot it right away.  It doesn't look gray, but it's super faint so that's hard to determine.  Showed my husband and he could see it too (right away) but he said it's like a 1% concentration compared to the control line.  However, I can not photograph it.  My phone doesn't have a macro setting so it won't focus that closely, and my regular camera's batteries are dead (it's charging now).  So I do plan to put up a pic if/when I can get one!

Obviously this could very well be an evap line but I will say that I used 5 tests from the same batch of IC HPTs last month and they were truly stark white.  So the limbo continues.  Today's POAS urine was ultra concentrated... about 8 hours worth.  I'm the type that usually is up twice overnight to pee, but not last night.  So I'd redo it today, but the sample would be super dilute in comparison.

I will retest tomorrow to see if I can reproduce or improve on my result.  I'm currently 8dpo and hoping that there IS light at the end of the tunnel!

I just want to say thanks.gif to all of you for your encourging words. Honestly, finding out about what may be going on was the best thing to happen. Hubs and I talked and we came up with a great plan to handle the weight loss for both of us. I told him that I can't do this alone and I need to him to get on board with me so we are doing this as a unit. We even had our little guy working out with us. It's truly a family affair.

We are watching portion control, calorie counting and doing moderate exercising - as not to injure ourselves by going at it too quickly.

Thank you so much @mygreenestgrass @rosie2727 @innacircle @jenjy  and to everyone in general. I wonder if there are any PCOS groups or weight loss groups for those trying to conceive. Hmmmm...maybe I should start one!

It's a lame photo but this is the best I can get with my phone.  So frustrating cuz it's not even a squinter in real life!  Still waiting for the real camera batteries.  May be an evap but at least we have something to look at.  I love speculating!

Someone please talk me down!!!! I'm seriously obsessing and being so upset about us not continuing to try. I average a 29 day cycle. I don't know when I O for sure. We DTD on CDs 10, 12, 14, and 15. If anyone else told me this, I'd say "perfect!" But for some reason I'm convinced we jumped ship! I'm still having EWCM - which is what's making me think maybe I haven't O'd yet. And my nipples are still sore (day 4 of that now). Someone (even if you have to make up lies) convince me we've covered out bases! I'm seriously losing it. What the hell is my problem?!?!
