Definitely! Intimacy fosters closeness. His take on it is "if this is going to tear us apart then we should stop trying." Which I agree with, BUT....if we're gonna try, then he needs to get on board and DTD during my fertile window even if he doesn't feel like it. I certainly don't FEEL like it all week, but tough sh*t!! We are not spring chickens and have no time to be wasting! So I just feel like we should give it our all. But I feel like he's half assing it with the attitude of "if it happens, it happens." But my response to that is "well, it ain't gonna happen if we aren't DTD during my fertile window." Duh! He has said before that he feels like a piece of meat. I have a hard time feeling sorry for any man with that attitude though when, more often than not, men have had a long history of viewing women that way. I almost feel like it's their payback! They want to have sex all the time and women typically don't have as much of a sex drive. But when a woman is TTC, she's ready all the time an all of a sudden it's the man saying "not tonight dear, I have a headache." But again, I'm so angry right now that I'm probably running my mouth entirely too much!!

Shoot, Rosie, I'm sorry.  I really really think you have an excellent shot with the coverage you got.  (I don't know if you would be able to get in the place to do this, but if you can squeeze a BD in tonight that might be worth it in case....I say this because of the EWCM... what do you think??)

AFM: CD 16, 4 days post the darkest OPK but no temp rise.  I have continued to take OPKs every day but they aren't getting darker, so I don't think I'm going to end up with a late O.  I will test next week just in case (I got those HPTs innacircle was talking about, but I don't want to waste too many of them on this cycle knowing it's likely impossible.)  I love temping and charting... it makes it much easier for me since I can brace myself for the likelihood that this month is out.

We took the puppy for her first training class.  Boy, I am feeling much better about it all now!!  I am much encouraged that we can nip these aggressive behaviors in the bud.

Immediately she told me to stop TTC because she's not going to emotionally support this roller coaster. I'm already done with today. I'm trying to keep a smile on my face because I love NYC but she is killing it for me.

I had the EWCM again and the bleeding is officially on hold it appears. Which means I can safely see the obgyn and find out if my body did it's job. I don't get why I'm showing signs if ovulating. I'm confused. greensad.gif

badwolf, please please do not listen to her.  I wish she wasn't doing this.  As for the EWCM, I don't know but it could be hormones trying to get sorted out, not necessarily signs of ovulation.

@rosie2727 if I could kill her, I would. She's insensitive. She ordered me a tequila sunrise and said to live it up. I ignored it. A few min later she grabs it and says 'oh crap I think that you still might have another one in there.' I resisted the urge to break her jaw at the restaurant. Ugh. As for your DH, sounds exactly like mine. Oh we were suppose to bd, oops. I'm going to casually act like I have no clue why my wife is upset and start cleaning and hope this helps. Can't live without them though!

I just wanted to pop in and say hi. I haven't been on this board for several months, after many months of participation. I have been trying for 2 years with little breaks and one early loss late in 2012...

I got a BFP on January 1st! I hasn't thought I had much of a chance because we only managed to BD on Cd 9 and 13.

Just wanted to share that even when it seems not to be working, it can happen without interventions. I did see a naturopath to get balanced, stopped eating gluten to which I discovered an allergy, and started treating my thyroid with a standard process supplement.

I am just having my first real symptoms and am cautiously delighted!

Hang in there, Mamas!

Absolutely.  But we are 23 and newlyweds. Honestly, we don't ever try for certain days. We aim for an every other day kind of with TTC in the back of our minds but we don't really have to push for it. We've been in the process of moving so it's been more like every couple days but I don't think i could only wait until my fertile window especially since I have no idea when my fertile window is.

I've been lurking on this board for a bit and have been meaning to introduce myself. It's funny that you asked this- last night I put on some lingerie for DH and he was just CONVINCED I was ovulating. I am only at CD5!  Oh goodness. I told him that I desire to be with him because I love him and desire him, not just because I want to make a baby, but of course we both agree that a baby would be an awesome side benefit. ;)

So Hello, Ladies! Happy Sunday! Nice to meet you!

We are on Cycle 2. We have been told by a reproductive endocrinologist that we may have trouble conceiving, but this month I feel a lot more optimistic. I think that we fall in the "not really trying, definitely not preventing" category. We were going to give it a couple seasons before we started charting, temping, or testing. We'll see what comes of it. It appeals to my :treehuggernature.

I follow Weston Price Foundation principles, seem to get crunchier by the day, and plan to have a future homebirth. I am currently seed cycling and using lunaconception for this cycle. AF will hopefully not be arriving on January 29th.

Are you trying anything different for this cycle?

This is the first cycle I've ovulated on (5 DPO!) but I think it was either the herbs (vitex and red clover blossom both 3x a day, maca 2x a day) or the fact that I just went crazy and started eating eggs and/or bacon for every other meal.

DH and I aren't really timing things though. Lately we only DTD when DS is out of town. Its like every day for a while and then nothing for 2 weeks. I've also been sick a lot here lately, I started marking it in my chart 10 days ago but I've probably been sick the last month more than not.

About the sex question...we dtd at other times in the month, but I have ZERO libido unless I am ovulating (just had first ppaf, nursing 13 month old, cycles are wtf right now...I am cd 43 at the mo).  I do end up enjoying the experience, but there is a very obvious difference between ovulation sex and all the other times.  I do try and connect with DH that way, because that is a big part of how he connects with me.  I do wish my hormones were a bit more balanced though.  It would be a lot of fun to WANT and desire sex more than just around ovulation.

Hello ladies, ttc our second. I'm still learning the lingo and am tracking cycle length and cf but not consistently tracking temps yet, but plan to.

Technically I'm waiting to ttc until February but I know I can learn a lot from you ladies and want to follow along.

Looking forward to connecting with you all. Best wishes for everyone on this journey.

Well, AF showed up. I guess I'm back to waiting to o. Ugh. I hope my docs appt next mon brings some answers about the pain I've been having. I'm starting to get really depressed about all this. The pain doesn't help but AF is insult to injury it seems. DH is so sweet about things, but its hard to do any BDing (in the right window or otherwise) when he can tell I'm in pain from it. Kinda puts a damper on things.

inna: Thanks for keeping the testing days going while I've been MIA.

greenest: Congratulations!!!!

AFM: We moved on the 1st in the middle of a snowstorm and life has been rather hectic since. I haven't been able to keep up with temping, so purely based on CM I think I'm ovulating soon or did recently. Our work schedules haven't allowed for many BD opportunities, so I'm thinking this month is a long shot. I should be getting AF around the 19th or 20th. If I don't have it by the 22nd I'll test, but I'm really just expecting AF this month. DH wants to actively prevent the next couple of cycles. We both work retail and having a late October-December baby would be pretty stressful. My next cycle would probably be okay, but he's still a little unsure so we'll discuss it a bit more.

Let us know what you decide. It would stink having to put things on the back burner. My mind plays tricks on me and I start freaking out thinking "what if that was the good egg?!?!" Lol! Maybe you'll get prego this coming cycle and you won't have to worry about it!

Good for you! Are they just doing a preg test or maybe some hormonal tests too? I hope you do get that rare mysterious elusive BFP that doesn't want to show on hpt.

AFM: idk if I've O'd or not. I assume so so plz move me to TWW. I've been charting for approx 10 days now but I've only temped two times I felt were reliable (after lots if sleep, wasn't sick, around same time). Although if I had to guess, I'd say it looks anovulatory. But (hope I'm not jinxing myself) I've never had ovulation issues that I'm aware of. So there's that. Still mad at DH. We might be done TTC after this last debacle. He's not into it an I'm finding myself angry at him half the time greensad.gif Breaks my heart to think the dream is abruptly over...

I officially snapped and broke down on Sunday about how this is making me feel. A lady at church who we are close with knew I was pregnant before I knew. Old Italian ladies know all. After church she approached me and told me she was sorry for our loss, without us telling her. She then proceeded to say that the next one will be here very shortly. Creepy yes, but what can you do? I mentally got to the point where I was biting everyone's heads off. Including DH. I feel bad but at the same time I don't. DH was refusing to acknowledge what happened and what it was doing to me. We talked and it helped somewhat. I'm still bitter though. :/

We got a call from the fertility clinic the blood test to confirm ovulation came back positive (22.1). Which is a relief I was so worried the teat was wrong because it was 4 days early. Maybe all the symptoms this month aren't just in my head. Thinking of testing Friday (13dpo) but I'll probably just wait for the blood test on Monday.

edubluv - Did you test?  What did you end up finding out from the bloodwork your ND did?

jenjy - I'm glad your puppy training is going well!  That would be stressful trying to manage with a pup that has probs which are a bit scary (but you know probably developed from being mistreated somewhere along the line).  I help a neighbor with her St. Bernard puppy... she's in school (post divorce) and is gone for long stretches sometimes.  I had forgotten how rambunctious puppies can be... this one is not only feisty but quickly getting HUGE.  Luckily they are very big into puppy training as well so that helps and I can see big improvements all the time.  It is hard work though!

scjp - I am very anxious to hear your results from the doc's office.  Fingers crossed for BFP in the blood.

rosie - DH?  BDing?  What's up and how'd it end up?  Has any large sparkly jewelry shown up yet?  It so super stinks that you are being/feeling derailed... Does he not have his heart in it to have another child?

AFM:  I started exercising again yesterday after about a week's break.  It felt really good to be active again, but I can def tell that I'm not operating at peak fitness!

My eating habits are terrible in that I find myself overeating.  I have always, always been a grazer and eater of small portions, even at mealtime.  Now when I eat it's like that signal for fullness is broken/missing.  I let that happen for 4-5 days and it was terrible bc I felt so overstuffed and uncomfortable... I've never dieted before, but looks like that's about to start.  I've got to maintain some kind of portion control... but to be honest even my double portion is less than what most ppl eat.  I'm just a weirdo that way - I like really high calorie foods in small quantities!

Thursday morning is my first MD appt.  I called today and confirmed that there will be an ultrasound.  My husband is SO excited... he just told me he took the whole day off work.  Seriously... the whole day.  He gets way more time off than he can ever use, so I guess it's OK but still funny!   Figuring maybe we'll use the rest of the day to run errands & do some grocery shopping.

On a separate subject, we're finally getting a break from the subzero temps this afternoon... I'm glad that's over with.  :cold  I've felt like a prisoner in my own house bc it's too cold to go anywhere!

Waiting for her to call me.  She said everything was looking good with my first blood draw and then on Dec 26 (CD 21) she drew blood to check progetrone.  Waiting for her to call me and tell me what my levels were at.

I mentally got to the point where I was biting everyone's heads off. Including DH. I feel bad but at the same time I don't. DH was refusing to acknowledge what happened and what it was doing to me. We talked and it helped somewhat. I'm still bitter though. :/

hugs to you.  people with intuition are crazy and awesome all at the same time.  hope old italian lady is right about a babe on the way soon.

Me crazy!!!! Lol can't wait for Thursday some answers!!!

your mystery cycle is making me wonder!  my 32 day cycles are driving me crazy, cant imagine 64 days.

AFM: WAITING TO (efffffing!!!) O again.  Seriously, I am sad right now. I don't get it.  I have been doing OPKs but I have been focusing on EWCM too.  My EWCM doesn't seem to be as abundant as it used to be but then again I wonder if all the BDing right around that time makes a difference in what I notice coming out, YKWIM?  I definitely have hormonal stuff going on.  My cycles are long-ish I have been told.  32 days.  it seems like pure torture waiting to for that time of the month to come again.  Seriously, bang my head against a wall.  it doesn't help that EVERYONE I know is pregnant.  It is sooooooo crazy making.  My BFF and my SIL to put the cherry on top. I have acne every two weeks with O and AF.  They are painful and on my chin, jawline and neck.  WTF?

Supplements I am taking are: Luteal Phase2 (from O to day 28), Gymnema, Chromiun picolinate, Ovex, and a prenatal.  I have been looking at Vitex and Maca but I don't know how they mash up with the ones I am taking.

Can someone look at my chart and tell me what you think?  I am still above coverline but I think it may be due to the fact that I took Luteal Phase2 a bit past day 28; that and the fact that I never sleep uninterrupted. Oh and I changed to a new thermometer on Jan 6th.

He has it in his heart to have another child. He just doesn't want to do the work. He just wants to leave it to destiny and see if it happens. He's totally fine if we don't have another. I, on the other hand, got all excited about another. I think it's super shitty to give me the hope of another and now just take it away. No bling or even flowers. We're still not speaking. I can stonewall like no other and I'm so hurt and depressed that I don't even care if we make up soon greensad.gif this is the longest we've gone without speaking.

Good for you on working out again. I hear it helps with energy. But I've never been a work out type of gal. I have a high metabolism and eat what I want and manage to stay thin. Ppl hate me for it, but I got lucky. I guess it helps too that I'm like you in that I always eat several small meals a day. I also don't like chocolate and rarely eat sweets. So awesome that you're having your first US tomorrow! Let us know how it goes!! How far along are you now? If you're less than 7ish weeks, don't be worried if they can't see a heartbeat yet. But you should be able to see a sac at least (I think). But maybe you'll get lucky and see the little ticker!
