inna-

She was actually the Dr. who did my ultrasound and i heard her say 1.5 and irregular and I asked what that meant but she wouldn't really answer said it was nothing and told me to go.

I know they were running late that morning but when i got out and told husband i was pissed.

the nurses are the same they never want to listen or answer questions. I know I'm not a terribly interesting case, three is no question i O, my hormones seem fine, and I'm not taking any medication but i don't think its right that they ignore me cause of that.

Husbands lucky the reversed organs is only a 50-50 thing and his are right were they should be.

I made him a chocolate chip cookie cake. He looked so sad over the holidays when he saw pone since going gluten free i thought it would be a nice surprise. I also made him some cereal. Now i just need to find a milk substitute that isn't soy or almond milk and i think ill make his day.

tifga - do you have Trader Joe's?  Their coconut milk is pretty darned tasty.  You can find the Silk brand in other places but it's just WAY too coconutty... the TJ's brand is more neutral.

Choc chip cake sounds great!  I actually considered making muffins this morning... originally thought of blueberry and then my thoughts quickly turned toward choc chip.  Maybe it's a sign I should make some.  Yummm.

Too bad about the workers at your doc's office.  I hated that about other nurses I worked with in the ICU... they didn't ever care to explain things to ppl.  I could never understand that bc the explanation was one of my favorite parts (I'm good at it, I guess).  I had so many ppl tell me that the explanation I gave them in 15 minutes was better than the what they'd been hearing for 10 years from their doctors.

I had really, really hoped it would be your month.  So bummed!

Just out of curiosity, do you take any supplements to support progesterone production?

I guess I'd rather that egg be up-front during the interview rather than lying on the resume and running into trouble later!  Yep, I do some natural stuff to support hormones.. that started a couple years ago when I wasn't getting pregnant at all and went in for some testing.  Found out then about the hormone issues and some underlying medical stuff I had to take care of.  So now that I have been able to get pregnant twice, albeit mc's, it seems like it IS helping.  I was able to get some prescription progesterone from my dr finally for LP support - I get to pick that up tomorrow.  And I have the progesterone supps for pregnancy all ready to go... I get to start that right up next time instead of having to wait until a blood test shows low P.  Pulling out the big guns!

For a 30 day cycle and assuming a 14 day LP, you'd prob start getting an increasingly dark line on your OPK around CD14 or so.

For a 35 day cycle, that would bump back to CD 18 or 19.

jenjy is an expert on those OPKs though... maybe she can chime in about how many days (rough avg) they get darker until positive.  Anybody else with Wondfo OPK expertise?

Ha, no expert here.. just definitely have used them a lot.  It's on track with what Inna suggested above.  Here are the stats I had saved for two recent ovulatory cycles (O confirmed with temp rise):

pregnancy cycle:

5 days before O = 1/5 as dark;

4 days before O = 1/4 as dark;

3 days before O = 1/2 as dark;

2 days before O (three tests during the day) = 2/3 as dark, 1/2 as dark, 1/2 as dark;

day before O (two tests during day) = equal, equal

day of O = equal

ovulatory cycle after m/c:

6 days before O = 1/4 as dark;

5 days before O (two tests during the day) = 1/4 as dark, 1/3 as dark;

4 days before O (3 tests during the day) = 1/4 as dark, 1/2 as dark, 1/4 as dark;

3 days before O (3 tests during the day) = 1/4 as dark, 1/2 as dark, 1/2 as dark;

2 days before O (3 tests during the day) = 1/5 as dark, 3/4 as dark, 3/4 as dark;

1 day before O (4 tests during the day) = equal, equal, darker, equal;

day of O = 3/4 as dark

So what I find interesting is if I had only taken one in the morning 2 days before in the cycle above, I would have only seen a very light line.  But in the cycle above that, taking one test 2 days before O in the morning would have given me one almost as dark as the control.  This is why I like taking multiple during the day as I get closer to O.

I hope this is helpful.

Edited to add - I think this data is also in line with what WifeofAnt had posted a few pages ago about the surge building up in waves.

So its looking like I'm rolling into next month. PMT is here, BFN this AM, and my chart (even though it shows ovulation) isn't looking at all like a pregnancy chart. Anyone care to see?

Hi all! Just checking in. Still not much going on with me, but the past two days, I've had incredible sore/tender boobs. May not mean anything, but since my body has had no symptoms, changes, AF, or ANYTHING in so long, I'll take it as something. ☺️

DH and I did not DTD last night. I think we were both just too exhausted (I had a proposal to review for work and papers to grade) so we passed on it last night. I'll test again when I get home later today to see if I'm still O'ing. If not, I think the 3-4 days prior to yesterday should be ok.

jenjy: thanks for the data on OPKs! Very good. Makes me wonder if I change my testing time on the monitor, if I'd pick up my surge. I wish I could use it more than once a day! I suppose I could buy another monitor and use one in am and one in pm. Lol

jchole: I like to think that sore boobs are a result of hormones doing something....so I think that's a move in the right direction!

NaturallyMo: I can't say I blame ya on skipping DTD. I def think you got your bases covered! I also think it's better to have tried while it was still dark vs once the fade began.

mischief: yah, that doesn't sound so promising with the bfn. Sorry!

AFM: just hanging out at what I assume is 4 dpo. Thinking of asking my dr to do that "21 day test" to see if I in fact Od. Have any of you had that done? I'm just so curious if I really did given no peak was detected. If I'm gonna do it, I need to call today since I'm on CD19. Can't do it over wkend, wonder if day 23 would still work (Monday). That would be 8dpo...oh, my temps do still look like I Od tho. Can you have a temp shift and not O?

rosie - I had the day 21 test done.  She drew labs for progesterone and estradiol.  I think with your O time a little on the later side of day 14, day 23 would prob be just fine.  It was comforting to find out that I had a "really strong ovulation" per the lady I spoke with.  The confirmation that all my parts were working really took the stress out of the situation bc prior to that I wasn't entirely sure if I was firing on all cylinders.  Second guessing things can drive a gal crazy!

naturallymo - you guys must've been (and prob still are) exhausted from all that getting busy!

jenjy - awesome data!  It's really fantastic that you track it like that... no having to "think" back about it.

Question. If I decide I'm going to test and miss the morning, would it be best to wait till the next day? Or could I get away with it at another point in the day? I got yelled at to test today and that was well after wake up time.

 Just as someone who has tested and got a BFP recently, my FMU test looked the same as my late afternoon test even with drinking tons of water during the day.  It just took a little longer for it to show up.  How many DPO? This was 13 DPO tho so if you are earlier it might not be as obvious.

@edubluv I won't be 13dpo till next week I think. I've been so sick I forgot to actually track anything relevant. DH (who I'm upset with), thinks my random crying and nausea are from a baby in the tummy. As much as I'd love to agree, I'm pretty sure we failed at the TTC timing and what not lately. Shrug. I'll test at his request but I don't see a point.

FYI- he wants me to test because I've been having bad nausea and vomiting, crying at random things, restless, and constantly peeing. I think it's all part of the flu. Who knows

Thanks it's been tough but I feel great getting healthy still running and probably will continue to for the endorphins. Up to 2.5 miles but want to keep extending my distance.

I'm on day 13 now. Yesterday my opk line was pretty much non existent. So wondfo actually darkens before a positive then? It seemed lighter so that worries me. greensad.gif I hope that I start to have some type of symptoms soon but I'm worried I am going to have a very long cycle again which is so draining. My boobs don't hurt at all but maybe I have another week or so before I ovulate. My temps are staying in the high 96's, low 97's.

If you have longer cycles, I'm sure you won't O til later. I'm a regular 29 days (give or take a day or two every now and then), and my OPKs start showing color around CD13 or so. Sometimes I get stark white ones for a couple of days before any color starts to show. I'm pretty sure (or I'm hoping anyway), that I O around day 15-16. I also think with those temps, that you def haven't O'd yet. How long are your cycles? Whatever that # is, subtract 14, and that's when books will say you probably O. So if you have 40 day cycles, I'd expect O around day 26. But would start testing around day 20 to be sure...and once color starts showing, maybe test 2-3 times a day.

I posted really late in the January thread, so I think I got lost in transition.  AF showed up as expected, so I'm twiddling my thumbs here, Waiting to O.  Today is cycle day 8, and I don't usually O until around cycle day 15 or later, so I've got a while to wait.

Was the 70+ one coming right off BC? I'd say totally normal! And then you had the 38? I think your body is still transitioning from BC, but it in a great way! Idk!! I'd test very day if I were you cause ya never know, what if you do have another big jump? This cycle could be 35, or 28?! I predict you'll O on CD21 this month.

scjp - NaturallyMo said they gave her progesterone to bring on AF (I think her cycle was also around 90+ days).  Maybe your doc will do the same so you can end this forever cycle!  Of course, a BFP would be better, but when things are that wacky it's hard to even guess.

I am taking b complex, Maca, and camu camu ...trying to be more consistant and wen off coffee
Sorry about your chemical. It's a mean cruel slap in the face. With that maca I bet you'll be prego in no time. I've been meaning to research that more...
