I already moved myself before you came on this morning, so I'm in the right category, but I'm considering myself in the 2ww now. I don't know for sure *when* I ovulated since my temperatures are FUBAR but based on symptoms and my OPK I'm going to guess the 29th. Fertility Friend is giving me a test date of February 13th. Hopefully I can hold off that long and the news will still be fresh for Valentine's Day. Of course if I'm not pregnant that means I'll be taking AF on any dates we go on...

apeydef, thank you for the new thread!

WifeofAnt - thank you so much for leading the past months!  I hope this was a successful cycle!

AFM - my stats today: 8DPO with FMU IC negative and a temp drop this morning below cover line (implantation?  If so, tests won't become positive until about 10 DPO.)  Next test tomorrow morning for informational purposes!

apeydef: thanks for taking over! I'm beginning to get a little sad when a new thread goes up. It's happening more times than I cared to see greensad.gif this will be the sixth month in a row for posting for me. OMG! Have I really been doing this that long? Surely I'll catch a good egg soon!!!!!

jenjy: ugh! Maybe some better results in a couple of days. So you had a temp dip....are you having any more EWCM? I'm just wondering if you, too, are having a secondary estrogen surge? Hmmmm...

AFM: high reading again today. CD14. If I don't see peak tomorrow or Monday at the latest, I'm gonna freak! I feel myself starting to stress, but I'm trying to remind myself that this thing is supposed to be highly accurate. And my temp is still low, OPKs are still almost blank (just a shadow of a test line). So I know I haven't O'd yet, but I'm afraid I'll be one of those women that never see their peak. Guess I'll see how my OPK looks today. CM is still scant, so that's good too. Ok, I will not stress! I will remain calm knowing we haven't missed the boat! I just hope I don't O so late that I then worry about LP defect.....sigh

Rosie: You will get your baby! Just keep praying..... really if you think bout it 6 months isn't that long! Although I understand to keep watching people come and go off the thread and new months starting may be hard on you. :hug hugs. With your new monitor you may just have a better time this cycle.

Hey all please look at your positions and let me know if i need to make changes. Since this is my first month I'm not sure where everyone exactly stands. I know WifeofAnt did a great job updating so I should not have to do much switching at all. Thanks WifeofAnt for the months you did!!! Maybe some time away from OP will make for a good month and a healthy baby in your belly!

AFM: I'm not sure where I stand in the baby making process. We took a break this month bc of insurance reasons. We were waiting to see if DH can switch to a better plan, if not we would have to pretty much pay out of pocket for everything. Although we DTD on my fertile days but took precautions. We use no form of birth control just "take precautions," so I could technically still get pregnant. However, this method has always worked for us when not trying to get pregnant, so the chances of me getting pregnant were very slim this month. I talked to DH a little yesterday about it all yesterday and he really wants another baby so we are still waiting to hear about insurance or else we have to wait until the fall when its open enrollment. So please pray for me that everything will line up!

So I took an OPK already and it was that "almost positive/should I call that positive?" Appearance. Ugh! Hate these things. I've read a lot online about women having these results not matching up with the monitor. I'm trying so hard to remain calm, but it's not working. I may be reverting back to the good old "follow your body's signs" method after all. Maybe I need to view this month as a trial run with the monitor. I just took another OPK too and it's def not pos, but it's only been like 1.5 hours since last one and I drank a coke (more diluted).....

Isn't the monitor more accurate than the tests? I have never used either but I've heard OPKs are not always accurate and that's why I don't use them.

I'm banking on it! But after a ton of reading I've done, for some women, it apparently can miss the surge....so I'm just hoping I'm not one of those. I did get DH in the sack though! Small miracle there wink1.gif idk why he has such performance issues, but he took one for the team! I was so happy when he came thru after I voiced my anxiety to him. I am above elated that I can at least put today's speed bump behind me.

Maybe his performance issues come from what we had talked about before. Maybe he feels like you guys only DTD for baby making and it makes him feel inadequate if you don't get pregnant. Maybe he gets nervous! Guys need their egos stroked and their egos can get hurt easily! I don't say this as any slam to you it's just how guys are!

Hi everyone, figured I'd post to update, even tho there isn't much going on. Still under docs orders not to BD as I'm still recovering from surgery. Doc said the surgery might make AF's arrival a little off but I'm hoping not. I'm still super bloated an around the belly and any pressure is really uncomfortable, I've had to start wearing pants that are 2 sizes too big just to not have to deal with that pressure! Ugh it sucks! Just over here, waiting. It seems like all we do is wait while TTC.
Also, what do you guys think about the opks and all? My doc mentioned using them, but I haven't bought any. I know that Rosie has been using the fancy monitor and was wondering what y'all would recommend.

Thanks apeydef for being the new thread keeper!

Me: 27, endo surgery Jan 2014. DH: 27 TTC # 1 for about a year and a half. Momma to baby Castiel

I can have it happen where I get a really faint one in the morning, then shortly later get a nearly positive one, then one like half as dark later that same day, then a clearly positive one the next morning or afternoon.  I guess the LH can really jump around during the day... that is why I will actually take 3 or 4 per day as I get closer to my typical O day.  Sounds like you are getting there ... I would be surprised if you don't get a peak reading on your monitor tomorrow or next day.  Sounds like you got a BD in today?  That is fantastic... I think you are really getting everything timed really well!!

I hope you bounce back quickly!!  About the OPKs -- I like them.  I use Wondfo OPKs (internet cheapies)... they are very cheap and I have been using them a long time and they haven't steered me wrong ... they seem to always line up well with what my temps say after the fact.

yes, we got some BD'g done early today - noonish....that "maybe pos OPK" was taken around 9:30 or 10:00 - SMU and after drinking nothing but a sip of water at 6am. I do feel the monitor is more accurate, and DH has promised (fingers crossed) to BD for both peak days. So I hope I do see that peak tomorrow! Thanks for your input!

rosie - That is one of the funniest things I've read in a while!  Guys are such goofballs but I don't think they have a clue that we realize that about them.

jenjy - your temp dip sounds promising... looking forward to your continued testing!

siuann - I really like OPKs along with temping.  The two together give a fairly complete picture of your ovulation.

alive - did you get your OPKs today?  when will you start using them?  I'm not sure where you are in your cycle...

edubluv - you're 9dpo right?  I'd be antsy too.  In my conception cycle I also had a temp dip (0.2) on 9dpo - then it shot up again 0.5 the next day.  Keep us posted!

AFM:  Chocolate is calling my name like crazy today.  But darn it if it doesn't give me instant heartburn within about 3-5 minutes.  I try to resist but it's always been my lifeblood, and since getting pg my intake is so, so little.  Oh, how I miss you chocolate!

I meant to answer this when I replied earlier today.  Yes, I have.  So yes, pretty sure I'm having a secondary estrogen surge.  Which I guess is found in conception cycles but of course also happens in non-conception cycles ...  I'm very interested to see what my temp does tomorrow morning.

If I remember correctly, Lh comes in pulses. It doesn't raise once and then lower once, the pulses get further apart and more powerful as ovulation approaches.

Nothing to really update on my behalf. Still no bding for DH and I. I'm not ovulating so it's not tjt biggest deal. And I also get we've both been sick and stressed. But it would be nice to feel close to my husband lately. Kinda hurts more than anything. Yes, I've told him. It didn't get me very far. Sorry for the early morning rant. Just needed it off my chest.

My actual chart is FUBAR (effed up beyond all reason) but I have a second chart with time-adjusted temperatures. Its not 100% accurate but it makes more sense than the original.

(The higher temperature before the hearts was due to alcohol)

I have never had an OPK not work. We buy the ones at the dollarstore and every month since Oct. they have shown a +. I take mine in the morning (about 10am) because the clinic needs the result before noon to book the IUI if its +. So i wake up at 8am drink just enough to take my iron supplement and then do the test at 10. I know it's not the best time to do a test but it does work and it's the only option we have.

AFM: I feel like crap on a stick. The morning after the IUI i woke up with a cold. I never got a fever but i don't remotely trust my temperatures to being accurate this month (http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/424076). And now that the cold is pretty much done i have a stomach ache today. I never thought this one was going to work out. And now hubby is having second thoughts about using donor sperm. He says it was just a moment panic but i need this like a need a hole in the head.

tifga: I've wondered before how hard that would be for a man. It would be so hard knowing that "another man got my wife pregnant." Hopefully he'll stay on board.

apeydef: mom knows I had the ectopic, didn't know we tried afterward, but I told her about BFP in Oct (chem)....so by now she probably assumes we are trying...

AFM: still no peak. And I got two pos OPKs today. I don't know what to make of it. Either the monitor is missing my surge, or I'm falling into the camp of women that had the following happen: got pos OPKs, BD'd like crazy, by the time they got the peak, they were too worn out to follow thru. So I'm torn. Do I go with the OPK's and BD now? Or wait and hope I get that peak tomorrow? I wonder if what wife said is why so many women report days and days of pos OPKs? I was really pissed to not see that peak. Today is cd16. If I get peak tomorrow, that means LP will be 12 days....cutting it close. I'd prefer a 13 day. What is shortest and still normal/conducive to a healthy pregnancy? If I don't get a peak until like wed, then I'm resigned to thinking the machine is not detecting my surge. Oh, temp is still down, so I DOUBT I O'd yet. Thoughts? I'll post pic in a sec...

line on left, for both tests, is the test line. I'd say they are both positive...

He says it's not about someone else being the father because he is the father. At first it was because I'm the greatest thing that happened to the world and does the donor really deserve to be a part of my life. To which i slowly explained he will never know we exist unless one day this kids decided to contact him (which i really hope they'll never feel the need to do).

But what it really boiled down to after hours of talking was its not fair.

Its not fair hes sick.

Its not fair we have to go through all this.

Its not fair he cant just decide my ass looks nice one night and i spend the next 4 months throwing up.

I order to do IUI you have to see a shrink first and she made a very good point that rolls around in my head often and that i had to remind him of. For most people infertility is the firs time they learn that life truly isn't fair.

I think he just gets gobsmacked in a way I don't when he is once again reminded he is sick.

I don't have that problem because i am too practical for my own good.

Hey all! I updated the lists and went through and removed a lot of people who have not posted in 30 days and also discovered a few who are pregnant!! So check the list out and see our friends who got BFP last month and make sure you are on the right spot. Thx
