Thank you, everyone, for your support and congratulations. I am so excited, but mostly shocked. I tested with New Choice cheap-o ones this morning, and it was a faint positive.... so I went to the store after graduation practice and bought a First Response. The line showed up about 2 minutes in and continued to get darker.

Praying this little bean sticks!!!!! Due Date Calculator says January 2nd/3rd, but we'll see what the Doc says.

I think I will give that onesie to my husband tonight ;) after graduation or else he might slip and tell our families when we are out to dinner lol. He may be more shocked than excited though :) I'm prepared for all sorts of reactions from him. He might not have to get that SA test done after all ;).

I will be sticking around here for a while :) hoping for some more BFP's on this thread soon!

Aside from working through the emotional aftermath, my body is a confusing place to be right now.   I have always had very regular 28 day cycles, and this MC has me all out of whack.  TMI warning!  My libido generally goes crazy when I ovulate and that was the case 4 days after I MCd (lawd that was a messy place to be) - and still is, really.  But I've also had a bit of cramping and for the past 4 or 5 days, nausea throughout the day.  I haven't been checking my CF - I wish I had, but I was tending to my emotional self.   I know there's nothing in particular that I can *do*, I just wish I knew what was going on.  I actually took a HPT (and felt crazy doing so) last night which was BFN.

If this has been discussed already, let me know - I looked back over several pages and didn't see anything along these lines but don't want to repeat a conversation.

Welcome lilybean t. I've been through two mc since last October and both times my cycles have gone back to what they have been right away. Part of that might be because I mc'd very early on. The first time we got right back to baby making as soon as I stopped bleeding. This time around we only BD once the cycle right after and it was the day after my positive OPK. It just never felt quite "right". Every woman is different so it deals differently with the trauma of an mc. I would suggest just taking it easy and start charting and temping when you feel ready and hopefully as you heal emotionally your cycle will go back to normal as well.

Hello ladies! Congrats @Kita4 that's a beautiful line! Sorry I've not been on much lately, spent last week holidaying, took my thermometer, my chart is really wonky but despite that, I've seen a marked temp shift and FF has pinpointed O on the 23rd, so I'm waiting to know and hoping to have taken a very precious souvenier home with me wink1.gif will be back with personals at a later time. Gratz @Kita4 !

Welcome @lilybean t

update: we went to get DH's test done after work friday and apparently the hospital wanted some kind of "diagnose code" or something that my doc left off the paperwork. We were there close to 4 so the doc didn't call back before they closed for the day. So now we have to wait til next Fri for DH's next day off. I'm beyond frustrated but DH is just happy he gets to postpone it by a week. I'm worried the results wont be back in time for my appt. It'll be less than a week between the two. Anyone know how long it takes to get results back?

As far as semen vs EWCM.. the only trick I've heard is that EWCM shouldn't absorb (if that's even the right word) into toilet paper whereas semen does. My follow up question is: can semen serve as EWCM? If it's up there already wouldn't it have the same purpose? HA HA.
@alivewithyou, I hear ya about not liking ur OBGYN! I DESPISE mine!!!! He's such a know it all and acts like because I don't have an MD behind my name that I couldn't possibly know what I'm talking about!

Hi ladies, my name is Melinda! I've been lurking for a few days and figured I'd jump in and say hi. I posted this on the main page, but wonder if I should have posted it here?

This is my first month TTC and I have a few questions. I have 9 and 7 year old kids that I got pregnant with on the first try, but that was a very long time ago. Since then I've had a divorce, two IUDs and contracted HPV and had a procedure to remove it. I'm nervous that these things have effected my once very fertile state. I had the IUD removed about six months ago and at that time my OB said everything looked good to TTC soon. Since then my cycles have been pretty regular, but a little long, about 31-32 days. My LMP was on 4/8, we had sex on 4/14, 4/17 and 4/19 and I had EWCM on 4/21 (no sex that day tho), then had sex and some cramping (ovulation?) on 4/22. Since 4/24 I've had white/clumpy CM. So it looks like Im in the two week wait, and my period will be on 5/9.

I've done some reading on this subject but am in no way an expert. Does it seem like I'm doing this right to you ladies? I think the only thing I'd do differently next month is that I'd have sex on the day of the EWCM but I was a clutz and slipped on the stairs and hurt my knee that day so I wasn't in the best shape for sex lol. Did I totally ruin my changes of catching ovulation by not having sex on the EWCM day, or is it okay that I did it two days before?

I'm a full time student so I'm really trying to time this all a certain way around school, etc.

Hi Melinda! I think what you did is fine and your chances sound good. I had sex on the day I had EWCM in January and didn't get pregnant but then last month got pregnant not trying so it's a guessing game really!

Hi ladies, I've been browsing this thread for a bit and would like to join now smile.gif I'm currently on cycle #5 since my little one was born last year. We have been NTNP for a few months but this month we have been officially TTC and are really excited to hopefully have a new addition to our little family in 2015 smile.gif I am currently in two week wait though I am cautiously optimistic b/c my cycles have just started to normalize again, but I can't help but hope this could be the month for us!

Anyways, good luck to all of you TTC and congrats to the recent BFPs smile.gif it's nice to be here!

@Kita4 congrads!!! Very stoked for y! Hopefully lots more will follow after you. Still have no idea what is going on with my cycle! Technically im cd19. This Wednesday I was supposed to start ovulation but instead started what can only be described as too heavy for spotting but too light for period. Lasted 2 days whereas my normal is 6 days. Then this morning I woke up to a light CM! So confused but just incase we DTD. Why is it when u not trying, cycles work like clock work to the letter! But as soon as u start trying, nothing makes sense!

@staceeyore01 my temps are always wonky (I just do it when I wake up rather than set an alarm) but I can always see a thermal shift which is all I want from it. But a good tip is to set up a piece of paper and pen by your bed becuase once you temp you can go back to snoozing and put it into FF later in the day. I like to do this because its not great having to open up your phone and access wifi and FF in bed. I find my charts (and other people's) facinating!

Hello everyone,

Sorry for disappearing this week. We had it all worked out and it all went wrong. We got a great deal to switch our phone, tv, internet provider (better services) so we gave notice etc. Monday morning the old company showed up and disconnected everything and we had an 8-5 appointment for our new hookup. We called and were given the run around that things were inputted wrong in their system and the earliest hook up appointment would be Saturday. We were called at noon on Saturday that it would now be Sunday morning. So finally Sunday we got hooked up again. Just trying to catch up on everything.

I got my last assignment passed in (course #2). Got a break for a couple more days before I take my next class (1 class this spring).

We got our call for our mock appointment May 14 (should be about Day 23 out of 26- needs to be done a month prior to IVF so we are looking at Mid-June for our first cycle) so hopefully we will be able to start IVF soon. It seems more real now. I am really nervous. It is starting to get more real. Me and my husband had a talk about our plan moving forward.

Haven't heard back from the job- given up on it now.

You have got to be kidding? Ugh!! Super frustrating! I don't think it should take more than a week. When you have it done, tell them you need the results by appt date and I'm sure they can "rush order" them if needed

AFM: Happy to say no AF yet, no positive test either.  Bummer.  FF says to wait until 5/6 so I'm going to.  I swear I am!  Well, it's better than wasting my money getting BFNs over and over.  Meh.

Have you tested anymore?!?!

Sounds like you have a good understanding and had decent timing. Day prior to O would have been ideal, but two-3 days prior gives you a chance.

Welcome! Yay for normalization! Good luck...how old's your little one?

Using FF is all you need! I'd say try not to stress about charting too much. If you're ovulating, you'll be able to see a clear temp shift and FF will confirm. As for methods, just try to take it around the same time each day and after you've had some decent sleep (2-3 hours) at least. Don't get out of bed or move too much. Just reach over, grab therm, temp, then go back to sleep or get up, whatever. You'll get reliable temps doing this...

But a good tip is to set up a piece of paper and pen by your bed becuase once you temp you can go back to snoozing and put it into FF later in the day. I like to do this because its not great having to open up your phone and access wifi and FF in bed. I find my charts (and other people's) facinating!
i agree with you on inputting temp later. My thermometer though saves the last temp. So I just turn it off when I'm done. Then after I'm up, I turn it on and read it then.

AFM: 9dpo today. Bfn yesterday, but that's way early. Not sure if I'll test anymore. I'll start getting bfn depression if I test too much....

My youngest and only DS is 4 today!!
