He most certainly does not act grown up. He's an ornery mess right now! Rotten! But I love him to pieces!! I "designed" the cake...but I had a cake baker friend of mine turn it into reality. She's awesome....and OMG, it's so delish! I can't quit taking slivers here and there!

@AntoninBeGonin: Your chart looks really good. FX crossed for you that you get your BFP soon! :)

@franluvsbubba: Good luck in your TWW!

@alittlemischief: Good luck in your TWW as well; hopefully vacation was good for conceiving. :)

@Melinda1980: Welcome! Personally for me, symptom spotting did no good. I was dtd at all the wrong times until I started charting. I might just suck at knowing my body though ha ha.

@HappyMama2013: Good luck in your TWW and welcome!

@staceeyore01: Maybe the weird spotting was implantation bleeding? Honestly, my cycles were awesome until I started TTC. Then again I was on birth control so that heavily regulated everything I think. As far as charting goes.. don't obsess about doing it perfectly. Just do the best you can and you will at least see patterns and get a better idea of what is going on. :)

@tinytina: I hate dealing with installing internet, tv, etc. It's such a pain. I am excited for your appointments but I am secretly hoping you guys are pregnant before you even have to do IVF. :)

@rosie2727: Happy birthday to your little boy! FX for you this month! :)

@scjp1109: FX that your cycles start to regulate soon. What a pain that must be.. I get annoyed enough with my 40-50 day cycles.

AFM: Please move me to waiting to O. I am on CD6 and still bleeding. Very annoying because it keeps going away and then as soon as I stop using tampons it comes back in clots. Why the hell can't my body just behave and act normal? Either way I am not too hopeful. I figure if I keep believing it's never going to happen it finally will.

I also went public about my miscarriage: http://jordan-norman.blogspot.com. I know it's not politically correct or anything but it was extremely cleansing for me and I had a TON of women I know personally in my life come forward and share their own experiences with me. It made me feel a lot better because I truly believed that most of these women had babies without any problems. Turns out, the majority of the women I know have experienced miscarriage and other issues.

@Alivewithyou I'm the same way. So many of my friends say they are in tune with their bodies...Im not like that at all LOL!

Also, your blog post was beautiful and I think you did the right thing by sharing it. I dont know why we as a society think there is something wrong or distasteful about sharing miscarriage stories. Its definitely something I think people need to get over, because there is nothing shameful about it that would require it to be hidden and suffered through alone. Much love to you!

Alive, your blog post was touching.  Thank you for posting it.

It brings up something that I struggle with a lot.  This is a question to anyone who'd like to answer...

My first pregnancy ended in miscarriage, and it was discovered at 14 weeks.  I had NO idea that anything like that could happen to me and it blew me away.  Only THEN did people come out of the woodwork with their miscarriage experiences.  It turned out that my mother and grandmother had recurrent miscarriages.  I think I would have really appreciated knowing that before-hand.  And yet, many people (including me) have a rule about not telling their children about their miscarriages.  I wonder -- when is the right time to tell our children that this is a reality that many people face?  When they are adults?  I almost want to tell my kiddos about it now, while they are young.  So they can see it is normal.

I don't know.  Thoughts, anyone?

All I know is that if I knew that miscarriage was more common it wouldn't have blind sided me SO badly. My mom was one of those annoying people who got pregnant on the first try every time and wasn't even trying with my younger sister. My grandpa told me that his mom had six miscarriages and a still born before him.. I never knew.

I had a similar experience. I miscarried at 12 weeks with my first pregnancy and I also did not know it was do common. Then everyone started telling me they had them. I was quite open with people about mine for this reason and people seem very uncomfortable. To this day if I talk about I feel like people think I should just forget about it or it wasn't a big deal bc I have two kids now. I to my oldest who is five about it, I just said that before she was born I had a baby in my belly that died. She seemed to understand perfectly.

My mother is the same, and went so far as to tell me that no one in our family has ever had a miscarriage before. I had to tell everyone about my second miscarriage because everybody knew I was pregnant, and I also spoke openly on facebook about my 3rd miscarriage. One of my aunts responded to my facebook post to tell me about her miscarriage, along with many friends--some of which, I had no idea. I know it is a topic that can make people uncomfortable, but I don't typically bring it up face-to-face. I figure if someone is uncomfortable reading about it, they can skip that post. I believe it is healing for those who have experienced it to talk about it.

Hello everyone,

Good Tuesday morning!

@rosie2727 -try to stay positive dear. Happy Birthday to your son! Love the picture

Hi @chilee and @HappyMama2013 and @Melinda1980 and @jenjy and @franluvsbubba and @apeydef and @NSmomtobe

***I love the sense of friendship and sharing our thoughts and feelings here is great! I am so grateful for each and everyone of you

Hope AF is on the way @scjp1109

Thanks for your loving sweet comment @Alivewithyou. I really hope your body gets back on a normal cycle dear. I loved your blog post. It is very real and full of emotion. I had 2 miscarriages when I was a high school student (I was also in an abusive relationship) that I never talked to anyone about. I found out years later my mother had a miscarriage before I was born, and initially I was a twin. I don't know about the right time to tell but I wonder if it needs to be part of sex education and also making sure kids know their families history (it could save them heartache later on).

@Alivewithyou your post was beautiful. I always thought I would wait till after my 1st trimester to tell people and when I got pregnant the first time I told my mom a few days later and MC'd a few days after that. We also told my sisters. I knew that my mom had a mc with her 3rd pregnancy and my paternal grandmother had two late term mc's before she had my dad so I knew it was possible but I was ****l surprised about how many people shared their stories with me after they found out what had happened. It definitely made it easier to process knowing that it's happened to a lot of people.

AFM- I'm on CD9 and temps when down again this morning but I woke up and my feet were freezing cold so I think that might have contributed to the temp drop. AF is due this weekend but I'm not sure how taking P will affect things. On one hand if she's going to come I'd like her to show up but at the same time if she arrives a little late that means that DH and I might actually be together for at least part of my fertile period next cycle and we won't loose a cycle. Ahhhhhh not sure what I want at this point. Also have to talk to DH about going and getting a sperm analysis done in the next little while.

@tinytina thank you for continuing as thread hostess, it is appreciated.

And @ everyone thank you for openly sharing your journeys! The 'open-ness' in this group has given me the confidence to discuss TTC with a very close IRL friend. And she wasn't weirded out- bonus! smile.gif

@Alivewithyou your words are so touching. And you are absolutely right that we need to be able to discuss miscarriage with others so that it is no longer a taboo subject. I think we're are getting there slowly. Surprisingly, my mother was very open with discussing sexuality, self-respect and very keen to support me with contraceptive choices etc when I was a teen, but we have never talked about the act from a 'making babies' viewpoint. I think it was @tinytina who suggested it should be part of sex-ed, good idea! Especially as @rosie2727 was saying how even so-called experts on TV don't understand the ins and outs of women's cycles.

OMG! I have one too! Mine started 2dpo, but I thought it was going away. But it made a reappearance yesterday (after finishing a 3 day dose of bactrim). Feeling better again today though?? I'm so prone to them tho that I'm not surprised by mine. Are you prone to them? If so...or if you get one again, go to Walmart and buy AZO (not just the cran pills, AZO STANDARD. I actually couldn't find it there last week, but I found some at Walmart. Uristat is another brand....Makes the UTI symptoms go away. But it just masks them. You ****l need to kill the infection. But it will buy HOURS OF COMFORT before you can get into a dr. You may know this, but in case anyone else doesn't....

I used to be more prone but ever since I started peeing right after sex (lol) I haven't really gotten them. Luckily it's much more uncomfortable than painful and I was given a prescription for an antibiotic so hopefully I won't have to pee orange this time. smile.gif

Rosie I've used the pills in the past for UTIs and was surprised how well the work!
Alive I hope it goes away soon..

I have a question...my cycles have been 32 days long lately, any idea how this will effect when I can reliably test? Pretty sure I ovulated on CD 15 and today is DC 22 and 8 DPO. Do I ****l have to wait till 6 days before AF to test, even tho that'll be CD 27 and 12 DPO? Sorry if this is a silly question. I think most of the guidelines I'm reading are for a 28 day cycle so I'm trying to figure out how it would apply to me.

Ok so I used to get UTIs all the time. I stopped wearing thongs, I don't use any kind of body wash, only ivory soap, and only free and clear laundry detergents. No dryer sheets or any scented things. This was the cure. I have not gotten one in years!!!

Well, hanging out at 5DPO. I've had SUCH a crampy cycle this month. I usually have ovulation pains for a day, but this time I had ovulation pains for THREE days. Made me a little nervous that maybe I ovulated twice... Now I'm having cramping on my left side again. Could this be implantation? Cysts? I'm totally stressing this cycle.

Me + DH + Daniel (7/5/10)
Testing early and often since February 2014.

wow, sounds like you ladies have been through a hell of a lot! its awesome to see the camaraderie and that you all ****l have hope! its so great when a bunch of strangers can get together and take comfort in each other! ****l not sure what is going on with my cycle! sort of hoping that the "spotting" meant my cycle started again which would put me at ovulation again next week. if not then i should get AF next week and another whole 2 weeks of waiting to O! so frustrating! i see what you girls mean when you say try not to stress about the charting. whether i mean to or not, psychologically i am! i have not slept a full night since starting. i seem to wake up every hour or two thinking its time but then i realise its ****l way too early! i know my alarm is set and i should just sleep til it goes off in the morning but i wish i could tell my body that!!! i got a total of 3 hours of very broken sleep last night (granted i have the flu too so that didnt help). ugh!!! soooo frustrated! somehow i knew that ttc the second time around was not going to be as easy as the first. i just hope im not in for a long wait! Im from South Africa so we have a nice long weekend ahead of us so hopefully i will get some much needed rest and spend some time with my gorgeous little girl!

How you ladies doing otherwise? anyone due for testing now and hopefully some great news?
