You got a positive OPK on Monday the 31st and you BDed on that day and the day before? If so, I would say yes, there is a good chance. It is best to wait another week at least, but you can probably test next weekend (i.e., the 12th) or any time after that. Good luck!

The left side pain could be ovulation if I am reading your timing correctly. Good luck!

A positive OPK usually says you will ovulate sometime in the next 24-36 hours so your timing sounds right on.

You are most fertile before ovulation, not after. Also, it is only necessary to BD once. Anything else is just a bonus! :wink

When we got pregnant with my son, the only time we did it was the day before O.

I don't think AF would be coming already unless you are having an annovulatory cycle due to polyp removal?

After polyps removed doctor said I was nice and clean and surprised I got my period. I don't know when I ovulated or if I did .....going based off positive opk . This waiting game is no fun. So nsmomtobe do you think it's ovulation related ?

It could be. Based on your OPK, AF should be at least a week away.

P.S. You can confirm ovulation by taking your temperature each morning and then charting it, like this: http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/90c5f

Temperature taking and charting helps you pinpoint ovulation. OPKs lead up to it but not everyone ovulates after positive tests. Also, as NSmomtobe mentioned, the chances are better if BD was right before ovulation. Sperm can live up to a few days inside you. If you did ovulate after you got +opk, you probably have a good chance. Good luck!

Not to diminish your hopes, but even with PERFECT timing, healthy/normal couples only have a 20% chance of conceiving in a given month. I say that to say this: even if you didn't get pregnant, that won't mean something's wrong. It just means you have to try again. It took me 11 months to get pregnant 1st time. No issues and I now have 3 wonderful children! Good luck!

Ive read that you can have some mild cramping on the side you ovulated on, if you caught the egg, as it is traveling down the fallopian tube. Maybe that is the cramping issue..? IDK, you can probably start testing in about a week as other posters mentioned. And the sperm can live for up to 5 days in the woman's body, but your egg is only good for 24 hours, so if your not pregnant, your better off trying before you O and the day of O. Not after smile.gif

Yup, that's how it works PMS and early pregnancy share a lot of the same symptoms. What's funny for me is I have more preg symptoms when its PMS, and when I'm actually pregnant, I barely have any for a few weeks! I actually swore I wasn't when I was, especially the day I missed AF, I had every sign that I normally do when I'm about to start my period!

I don't think you can just go by opk to determine what day 1dpo is. It can only be confirmed by temp spike and staying up after ovulation.

You could assume that you O'd on 4/1 or 4/2, so you'd be 2-3dpo. No guarantee you O'd without temp spike, but this is how most women determine it if they don't chart.

Hi, ladies! Hubby and I are TTC #1 and we followed Dr.'s orders this month with ovulation tests. I ovulated March 21-22. At about 3:45am on the 30th (8-9 dpo), I woke up to really strange feelings in the center of my pelvis - twinges would be the best way to describe it. AF was supposed to be here yesterday but hasn't shown up yet. I was dizzy and nauseous all last week. I have OBSESSED over HPT and everyone I've taken says a BFN...including the one I took yesterdayyesterday morning. I'm currently having cramp-like sensations. Could I be pregnant or am I just wishfully thinking? Thanks!

Well since my last post today would be 6dpo. ...feeling hopeless greensad.gif yesterday bb were mildly sore but started to get sharp cramps on my left side. .....same feeling I got for ovulation cramps. The pain is truly focused on my left ovary all the way to my back. This is nothing uncommon for me. Took ibuprofen 800mg. I'm due for af next week.
