Yeah, I had a psychic tell me to ditch my then boyfriend, now husband... :

More s for Shannon..., , ! Listen to what Caroline has said. Breathe. You're ok, the baby's ok - the levels are still ok. If it will make you feel better until Monday, can you force the issue with the fertility clinic? Call me if you feel like talking.

Shannon -

Denise, Sara, & Korin - no, not ttc currently, still waiting to August, which is "the wait" I spoke of, not the 2ww. I'm actually thrilled that I saw my moon time tonight because it means that even after the IUD came out, my cycles are still 34 days exactly (last 3 months), which means that after a lifetime of irregularity, I've actually got a regular menstrual cycle without anything added! Also, because I've been charting the last two months and know this, I'm also thrilled to see that I have really good EWCM. I can only hope that this will greatly aid us when August comes and we're ready to get pregnant. It makes me so excited!!! I am still partying in the meantime. I've gone to 4 movies in the last 8 days! I went out last night to dinner & a movie with my husband, which was great. We saw Troy and you ladies must be smokin' somethin' because I didn't see the gay porn that I was hoping for. In fact, I wasn't too thrilled in general and even my darling Orlando Bloom didn't do squat for me, but that may be just because Paris was such an under-developed, two-dimensional wuss. I just was not feeling the love. Okay, I felt it a little during the 3 seconds when he was stark naked and sweaty...

Lately Alex has been making me not want any more children, actually. I'm hoping for a girl with a fabulous temperment. Actually, that's just the lie I must tell myself in order to actually go through with this, because I know for certain that I want another child, but they are not in fact easy at all. At least not my child. At the moment, Alex is chewing the wrapper off a tampon...

Oh my gosh Anna, I so feel you ! I have told Bailee at least 100 times, PLEASE Quit making your sister scream...she does this deliberately at least 20 times per day! And I get to the point where I want to pull out my hair...even one day I cried and called my husband and said to him , How in the world can we even bring another child into this world when we cannot handle the 2 we have?....then i found out I was pregnant and sadly I think God heard me cause I lost that baby

So yes it is a hard road but gosh the lessons I am learning and I will definately do it again and maybe again!
Sorry didn't mean to go on & on about me....

(((((((((SHANNON))))))))))
Honey you are all in my thoughts and please know everything will be okay.... I just KNOW it!!

Oh Shannon. I am sending huge hugs and gobs of sticky vibes your way. I have been doing lots of reading about Hcg levels since I am concerned about my own, and doubling in 72 hours is generally considered ok. A 60% increase in 48 hours is actually considered the lower end of normal. You probably know all this already, but I hope it provides some comfort.

Didn't you say at one point that your OB gives out a home or cell number or something? Maybe that is wishful thinking on my part. But if you know she is on call could you have her paged through the practice? You could at least talk to her to get some feedback. It sounds like she is really supportive.

This baby is going to stick!

Trying to get my bearings...

Oh Tara, I hope you don't really believe that. Everyone going into this, and I'm sure especially those who already have children, understand it's not all roses and angelic Von Trapp children standing at attention...that it's hugely scary and will sometimes be the hardest times in our lives - you did not cause the loss of your baby for thinking or voicing your fears or misgivings.

Welcome back, Joy! So glad you're feeling up to joining us. I've thought of you - I hope the time away helped. Hang here all you want! I hope you're not back for long...and that we'll be adding you to the June BFP list!!

Quicky post before I crash for the night.

Shannon- Hang in there! Thanks for the info on the baby aspirin. I've started them.

Tanya- You probably didn't O that first round of EWCM. The stress of traveling probably changed your body's mind. LOL I guess it's pretty common. My Creighton Model (a standardized method of charting case you didn't know) Practioner described it to me like this. "When we experience stress as our body is reving up to O that stress signals that it's not a good time to get pg and will stop O from happening. And it'll try again later with that same egg when the stress has lessened." HTHs.

Have a great night ladies!

Eva- Navy Wife and mama to 3 amazing kiddos Gretchen 9, Koen 7, Charlotte 4, and 5 precious angels that will never be forgotten and 1 last surprise Boogy Baby due Aug 12.

Hello all, my first time here (TTC). I'm officially trying as of tonight
Am I right that I should just jump into this conversation and post my updates here? My history: I have two kiddos ages 6 and 4, and hoping for at least two more. My first preg was bliss and my baby boy was a boucing 10 pounder at birth. Second time around I was diagnosed with GD and went through hell-insulin, doctor visits 5 times a week etc. I was induced before baby and I were ready and it was generally bad. The baby was good though-a lovely little girl. Both of my pregnancies happened fairly quickly after we started trying. This time I'm taking no guff from doctors. I just cut sugar out of my diet, started taking prenates and to heck with their tests and so on. Anyhow, glad to be here.....TTC always makes me think back to an old Seinfeld stand up gag where his dad says something to the effect of "I don't give a damn what you think, I can make my own people now."

Welcome Brandywine!!

Kate, 6 hours?? Yes, I read that in TCOYF, but I don't read anywhere in there that I need to GIO 4x's a day! Yikes! Dh already says jokingly, "So, you need serviced??"

Shannon, repeat after me " I am fine, my baby is fine, and I will have the most beautiful wedding ever" Truly, it sounds like your little bean is doing great. Worry and motherhood hold hands, but you will be FINE. Plus, with all of us rooting for you

Ok, I really, really, really, hope I caught the egg! My cm is drying up like mad, but cervical pos. still seems high....What do you think?

edited that I can't seem to spell at midnight!!!!

hey all, quick question then off to a music therapy training day...

dh is asking if he should be taking vit E to help his spermies? I think I read that somewhere, or did I make it up? And do I need it?

I'm taking prenatals, B complex, EPO (skipped that last cycle), am going to get some green tea for CM...anything I'm forgetting?

Shannon - vibes for you. I'll keep my : for you. I've heard that not quite doubling in 48 hours is fine, especially once you are in the thousands. Hope the 3x a day progesterone takes care of the other issue. s

Erika - Hannah is just gorgeous!

Anna and Tara - I hear you on sometimes wondering what you're thinking trying to have another when the first drives you quite out of your mind. I have days like that too. Nate is far from what one would call an easy child. In fact, I'm up so early because I couldn't fall back to sleep after he woke me at 2am.

Welcome Brandywine!

Kate - I'd definitely take the Tarot reading with a grain of salt.

Velveteen - : for you!

Darn it, I forgot to temp again. Not that it would be accurate since I've been awake since 2am and we GIO at 3am since I couldn't sleep...

OK, ladies, this is my last day on the list. A few more BFPs for the road, please??

Shannon: Any updates? I've been thinking and praying about you a lot (and I'm not even religious!)! I agree with Katy that a little lie here would be totally justified if it gets you to see a doctor . . .if for no other reason, for the peace of knowing that everything IS okay.

Kate: I can't believe that tarot reader . . .but here's something to think about. The way I look at card reading, it gives you a snapshot of what's going on in your life right now, and what would happen in the future if you continue on the path you're on right now. So, if you change anything in the present (like your water) that means the future path is altered as well. And like muse (I think) said, this is NOT a SCIENCE! I've never heard of a reader giving such concrete advice . . .I don't think that's wise or even possible considering we have free will and the future is not "set."

Joy: Welcome! I hope your stay is blessedly short!

Erika: Hanna is beyond adorable!!

Laura: I'm sorry-- that just SUCKS.

Anna and Tara: Sometimes I have the same doubts when my patience with Fiona runs thin. But when I really think about it . . . I realize that's crazy talk. So mamas, that's CRAZY talk! Oh, and Anna, about the gender thing . . .I really don't think it matters. Like you said, I think it's just temperment!

Katy: I'm going to have to try that carrot daily. I got pretty good CM this time, but I'm not sure if it was because of my cold or the Robitussin I was taking or both. A carrot would be much healthier!

Megan:

Velveteen: I REALLY hope you caught the egg, too!

Hugs to those I missed!

I O'd yesterday, but we didn't GIO at great times this cycle, so not much hope. Also, yesterday I had a horrible headache-- the worst I've ever had. I told myself I wouldn't take anything for it "just in case" I was PG this time, but I finally did at night when I was going to throw up from the pain. I feel much better today!

Good morning all!

Just wanted to send some more good vibes and sticky thoughts to Shannon.

Other than that, just hanging around waiting to look at certain charts!

On the spermie health: I've read that the supplements to consider are Vit. E. 400 i.u. per day, zinc, and selenium. I think a good multivitamin is a good idea, though. Too much zinc and selenium are not good, though. Dh is on the vit. E., and he eats 1-2 Brazil nuts every day (one nut has day's requirement of selenium). I've read about ginseng being good, too, but the vitamins have been in two different books by an OB and a nutritionist.

I hear you, Joy. I bought a huge quantity of test strips from bareware a few cycles ago, and while I used them the following cycle, they have NOT been used much since. Last cycle I finally pulled one out at 16 dpo (cruelly long LP ), but otherwise - they sit quietly in my bedroom closet, and I have NO desire to pull them out...

Erika - thanks for sharing the pics of your little sweetie! She's beautiful!

Velvet - I know, it's tough. Lately my cm tends to dry up before the shift by a couple of days, and it's a bit frustrating, not knowing...this time we gio well after as well, just in case...! I've often wondered about the whole lifespan of my egg...if we always do it in the evening (except for on wknds), how many times has it all been for naught? ...

I'm in a pickle ladies...I might be 2dpo and we had decently timed sex. It was not planned, although I saw signs, but since it was my first post-m/c cycle I wasn't expected this quick of a return to "normal". Tomorrow will be the deciding factor. I don't know what to think. I wasn't expecting to be a part of a 2ww for a few months. Hmmmm...

WOW! I just read some the back pages of this very long thread and I'm amazed by you gals. I guess since I've never waited more than 3 months to concieve I was really unaware that ladies put so much non-sexual effort into it You gals are temp-taking, chart tracking, egg-white dischargin' queens and I bow before you ! I'm also thinking I should get around to taking another look at my cycle and get educated. Hey, Iv'e heard you can choose the gender of your baby by timing conception. Is there anythng to that? I don't really mind about the gender.. I have a boy and a girl so far. But my SIL is workin on boy #6, so if you all have any hints I could pass along to her...Sending fertile thoughts to all of you.

Here I am. Still stressed out and to make things worse I hurt my back. I had to go into town this morning to take care of some stuff for the wedding and I had to come home before I was done because I was almost in tears if I had to take another step. Feels like sciatic pain but of course what is in my mind??? Gee I had back labor with the first miscarriage just before it started....
I'm going in tomorrow to at least get the hcg and progesterone tested again, I'm just going to tell them I'm busy monday and it will be hard to get in, then we see the doc and get the U/S on Tuesday. That's the plan for this minute anyway, if I get more stressed than I am right now, I'll tell them I'm spotting and try to get an U/S.
I haven't checked yet, but what's happening with Adina's chart??

I'm thinking of you Shannon.Take some time to rest though.Take at least 1200 IU's of vitamin E a day and that is supposed to help with threatened miscarriage.

Coleslaw,i am with you.I told myself after two straight miscarriages to rest and find out what is going on but i can't help myself.I can't keep my hands off of my dh and i want another baby!So i o'd yesterday and now i am ready to wait.I do have an appt scheduled next week with an OB so i am hoping to get some answers.

Welcome new mamas!

I'm back to cd1
I could just tell last night that it was going to happen. I feel numb. I'm trying to stay positive by making a four week plan in my head. First week, detox, second week, re-energize, third week fertilize (I'm not sure how I'll do that on an energy level...any suggestions for symbolic foods, rituals etc?), 4th week, implant. I'm going to do lots of energy work and mini rituals involving foods, herbs, nature whatever I can think of that feels right at the time. I'm just going to make it a big focus, but in a new way. And this time next month, I'll be throwing up in the morning, thank you. I'm also hoping that it will help my body adjust my cycle even more, closer to what it used to be pre-m/c. this konth was an improvement (due to vitex maybe? I've been on it 6 months now) with o on cd17 (instead of 20 and a perfect 14 day LP instead of 10 or 11.
If someone wants to join me so we can exvahnge ideas, let me know!
hugs to all....
