Adina. : I am so looking forward to Thursday!!!!!

Shannon. Oh, what an awful day. Traffic really, really sucks. On a good note, it is great that you have a pain relieving option!!

Alexis. Moving can be incredibly frustrating. I will be thinking of ya!

Ravenmoon. Good luck finding a doctor. You'd think that after two losses, your current doc would do a bit of investigating.

Periwinkle... Congrats!!!!! :boypin :girlpin :boypin

Me, well, my temps were still up this morning, I fudged a temp for yesterday and sure enough, ff gave me an eggie. I will know tomorrow if I really o'd. My temps never stay up this long.

CONGRATULATIONS Periwinkle!!

Shannon - oh, how gruesome! I'm glad you're home, safe'n'sound! And thanks for the vote of confidence - that's right - we have to be pregnant at the same time to take those hypnobirthing classes, don't we?!

everyone - let's add some more to the BFP list tomorrow morning!!

Perriwinkle!!!!!! Yippee!!!!

Selissa!

Ravenmoon -- yeah, I see what you mean Good luck finding a new Dr/ mw!

Shannon -- sorry about the traffic, but I am looking forward to tomorrow's rain, I must admit... but not Sunday! We're using a trailor to move most of our furniture -- I really don't want it to rain Sunday! :

Lesley -- have fun in Chicago! Are you planning on eating at Trotters? I hear such good things about it -- well worth the splurge!

Well, I got all my calling done for the day, except the landlady never called back And then we hung out with our neighbors and had dinner and -- it was fun!

And now I must go do some yoga, or else my LJ excercise buddies will find me down and kick my ass! (And if you want to join me, I'm organizing an LJ excercise buddy circle, so we're all accountable to one another!)

Belly Blessings!

Welcome Selissa

Alexis: I hope your move is going as smooth as it can. I can't stand
moving with a passion. We bought this house 1 year ago and I still haven't
finished unpacking. I"m thinking I might be getting rid of that stuff since I haven't needed it in a year.

I'm bored right now, my dd is not falling asleep and I am waiting until she does so I can finish watching The Lord of the Rings The Two Towers.

I hope everyone has had a good night.

Wow What a ton of BFPs!

I had a big day, got to talk to another long-time TTCer IRL. Up until the last m/c we'd been keeping everything really quiet, so this is really new for me.

I went to a body work session that is part of some holistic stuff I'm trying to do to help ensure a sticky one next time around. I feel a lot better. Which happened quicker than I thought it would.

DH had lunch with a friend we hadn't told about the m/c and got the usual well meaning, poorly put reassurances. Sigh.

I've got an appointment with the new GYN on Thursday and another bodywork session. Yeah!

Yayyyyy Periwinkle!!! That is so awesome.

So, my new Dr. was great. She talked to me like a person, checked for any nasty clomid side effects, spoke with dh and put me a little more at ease. She is giving me 3 more months on this treatment then we go off to a fertility expert. I am hoping that we won't have to. I am on cd 25 with no ovulation though and it is making me really quite sad.

My trip was life altering. Now we are working on having my birth certificate amended and getting me my CDIB and it looks like it's going to be a long process. I found out that my great grandmother was part of the trail of tears and is in all of these books and that I am A LOT more Choctaw than I had thought. It is hard to process. It was really really surreal to be around people that looked like me. I look forward to being involved in what is now (always was I guess) my culture.

I will post more about it later when I can start to think about it all in a more rational light.

to all

angstmommy -- my former step-mom and my sisters through her are all Cherokee/ Chicana. They are card-carrying members, whose family lives on the res in Oklahoma. My other sis (half-sis), we suspect her dad is part Native American, and we had a weird confirmation of that when we went to the BIA (Beauro of Indian Affairs) Museum in Washington DC -- the "Indian Census" on display was open to a page that listed a Cheek! (their last name) Anyway, we're not sure, but it does go a long way in explaining why my two half-sisters look nothing like me, who they're related to, and a LOT like one another, who they share absolutely no relation to that we know of!

My maternal half-sis had a similar life-altering moment when she went to New Mexico... seeing the Pueblos really felt like a homecoming of sorts.

Me, I'm just your average Swedish/ Scottish White Chic. :LOL

Gonnabe -- holistic bodywork sounds dreamy...

Mike doesn't know it yet, but part of his birthday present is going to be either a really great massage or a chiro appointment. For next week, after the move, cause I know his back will be aching then...

RaggedyAnn -- I LOVE unpacking, but HATE packing! Isn't that weird? I was complaining to my neighbor tonight that I must be anal now, cause everytime I walk in the living room, the unsettledness of all these empty boxes hits me hard! And he said, "Well, get used to it, cause your going to be living in boxes for at least another three weeks..." and I looked at him, and he said, "Oh yeah. You were unpacked within a week here, weren't you?"

The move is going smoothly thus far, if only our new landlady would return my frigging calls!

Enjoy The Two Towers (we watched it again last week!)

Belly Blessings!

Alexis, I'm happy for you and the move, but not the packing!
gonnabeamom, would you tell me about the body work? I really want to hear! I am also trying to do all this holistic stuff for myself, that will hopefully let me conceive. If I don't conceive, I will feel better, yk?

Also just got two new Susun Weed books which I am dying to read. Great herbal things.

Wow, angstmommy, thoughts are with you on that life altering experience....

fairymom, how are you doing? Did the test get darker? I'm especially happy for you, since you were down in the dumps. Yeah!!

Lets see, HELP should I GIO every day, or every other this cycle???????? I hate to miss a chance with this good ewcm I've got, but what to do?

Here's what I vote for: every other day when you don't have really good fertile mucus. And every day when you do! (Or you can keep an every other day schedule -- up to you!) Personally, I find every other day during the week, and every day on the weekend is optimal! But I'm a nympho, as Anna says :

[PS -- we miss you Anna! The list really isn't the same without Anna and Adina around, is it?]

And in fact, we did GIO tonight... I'll count it as tomorrow morning, since it was past midnight, tho

And now to stop and go to bed!

YAY Periwinkle!

Selissa

And continued : to other 2ww'ers.

angstmommy, that sounds like an amazing journey you've been on, I'd love to hear more.

me, i woke up to a lovely back massage from DH... ...went to the loo, and there was AF : A day early, just to rub it in!
But it at least makes me feel pretty good that I was sure I knew what day I O'd without charting, which was a day earlier than usual, then AF came a day earlier, so I feel affirmed. Make sense?

But, sh*t, I'm sick of this. Now Dh is asking, "do you think it's me?" I said no, I think we just need to GIO more (bloody hard with a toddler who doesn't sleep till 10pm). But he did say he found the egg whites idea kind of a turn on!!! So, charting virgin that I am, I think it's rebooting time and I'm going to have to learn how to do all of this properly. Any and all tips welcomed

We at least are going to take opportunity of this time to get our relationship sorted and enjoy each other's company. Alexis, I think even better than an AP babysitter (something I've yet to find) is sharing childcare with other AP families, setting up a network of likeminded parents. That way it's free, your kid gets to hang out with their friends, and you know who you're handing them over too. Katy, the crazy thing is we do have many offers of babysitting from friends and never take people up. $$ is the big issue, as with you, but I think even a stroll down to the park without a toddler in tow would be good for us at this point.

Well, now I know I most likely will NOT be having horrendous m/s this August I'm off to book our flights to Maine to see the in laws and the ocean. We were so much hoping to be able to tell them I was 3 months pg while there. ..but last time we were there we concieved (I m/c'd later) so maybe it'll be a good place for us to be...

muse, i'm so sorry. good luck with the charting. you seem very in tune wth your body and that will help you.

selissa! hope your stay is short and sweet

periwinkle! i hope the test this am is affirming!!

alexis, good luck with your move. i wanted to move as i grew up a gypsy of sorts and we've been here ten years. then a "friend" moved last year around this time and it sucked so bad LOL. didn't help any that they weren't really all packed up and were moving to another state. LOL. i'll : that the weather cooperates. maybe i should join your exercise group. i lost two poinds over the last week and suddenly this morning they were both back : of course it couldn't have been the two+ plates of food at Golden Corral last night :

velvet, every other day is my vote too. of course ask me again next week LOL

angstmomy, glad the new doctor is good. i hope you get things sorted out quickly and won't need the specialist. your history is very interesting. i'm sure you will find your place soon.

gonnabe, that work out session sounds interesting. i find it interesting what some "exercise" etc. will do for you mentally and physically. as hard as it is to get going LOL

justice - yeah on the eggie! not that the 2ww is all that relaxing but it's nice that our bodie work properly sometimes hope this is the one!

shannon, that was the trip from you know where! how sweet of your dh to bring water. glad you got home okay!

miz, i *really* enjoyed doing the list and can't wait to do it again! we had quite a few last week so i'm glad the trend is continuing!!!!!!!

i finally got some good rest last night but my back still hurts. korin do you make house visits? my bed's not the greatest either so hopefully it'll feel better later.

have a great day everyone.

Hi all! I'm jumping in with both feet! What fun to read all these posts - sure is a lot of energy here in TTC!

And, now I know I'm not completely nuts - or at least not alone

I still have several pages of posts to read in The One Thread, but can anyone tell me, how soon is it possible to have the following symptoms (and are these even symptoms of getting preggo?):
1. Pressure/tightness in my abdomen
2. Gassy
3. Exhausted

Or maybe I just ate too much!? It's too early to test yet (Af due on the 25th) but I am hopeful!

i was gassy about 5-6 dpo that lasted for a few days and has lingered somewhat.

exhausted, definately the last 3 days but might be related to my activities.

everyone's different so it's possible that this is how your body manifests a pregnancy.

If it doesn't happen this month then I will start charting. I haven't yet because we only started TTC this month. Instead we have just been GIO a lot! Wheeee!!! Still, it would have been helpful to at least take BBT readings or something to have a better idea of when I'm actually O, cause I didn't get AF for 3 years - including my pregnancy with DS, and we are still nursing. I just got my period again for the first time in February, and the cycle length has gone from 45 days, to 41, to 31 each month. So I'm guessing that the next one would be from 28 - 31?? I guess I'll know if we're negative this month.... :

Muse,
You are in a very similar situation as I am in regards to GIO with a toddler in the house that doesn't sleep until late. Does he/she nap? We did most of our GIO when my dd was napping during the afternoon (I came home earlier than usual from work and dh held her naps off as late as possilbe). A couple of times we GIO in the morning when she was at her half-day preschool and I was on vacation. And, I'll be prefectly honest, there were a few very desperate times where we plunked her in front of "Finding Nemo" and then went inot the next room to "clean". Those times I would have dh go in first and get started without me, then it didn't take very long once I was in there. I think this pregnancy was conceived on the floor at 3 in the afternoon. You gotta be creative.

Alexis, Charlie Trotter's. OMG. My dream. I don't have that kind of money though, we're talking a few hundred dollars just to walk in the door. And I couldn't drink any wine with my meal anyway. He (Trotter) came to talk to my class while I was in culinary school, he seemd like an a**hole, very full of himself. But his food is supposed to be phenomenal.

Selissa, Welcome to the most amazing and supportive thread on the board! Hope you're stay here is short and sweet.

Gonabeamom, the bodywork sounds fabulous. I think I may actually seek out something similar. I'm thinking of trying chiro, which I've never done before. Korin, unfortunately, does not make house calls to CA.

Periwinkle, CONGRATULATIONS!!! See you on the Feb. due date board.

Angstmommy, Very interesting family history. My dh's mother is deeply involved in native American art and artifacts, and she's part Cherokee. I have learned so much from her since I've know her. Fascinating.

And I'm sure I'm forgetting someone, so I'm sorry. I'm off to Chicago tonight, so I will probably check in this afternoon or from work and then I will "see" you all Tuesday when I get back.

ILMB, Welcome! I had a similar pattern with changing cycle lengths both after Af first came back and after my last m/c. Now I'm down to a steady 27 days.

lesley, thanks for all the suggestions! We're really bummed this cycle because I was pretty damn sure about the day i was MOST fertile and Dh came running home from work the minute i put DS down for his nap, we started to GIO, and OF COURSE Ds decided to wake up that INSTANT, 40 mins into his (usually 2 hr) nap. : Boy that was tough. Dh works all day every day, gets home at 6pm, we're in a small flat where it's pretty hard to have any privacy, don't have a TV, and I usually fall asleep when DS does. But we are definitely gonna get creative this month, and put to use our babysitting offers in the cheapest way i know how to ahve some fun!

Can anyone tell me though, why I feel horny as hell the couple of days before AF, during it, and a day or so after it (i.e. the most UNfertile days), then the rest of the month am usually too hormonal to be really into it???

I just started a chart over at fertility friend..woohoo! I feel like i've joined the club. Off to get myself a BBT thermometer.

WHOA!!! Congrats to all the BFP's :

Thanks to all of you for reassuring me that my Saturday night fiasco was okay. I was worried though, cause I am looking now and I am on CD 31, haven't charted so have no clue when I ovulated, and if you look at my chart it is not accurate cause we have been GIO at least once a week this month , if not more. And I usually have AF on CD 30-31....sooooooooo...........

Who knows Adina, this could be our month, as they say things happen the most when they are expected the least.... I am running with that until we are told otherwise

Sorry haven't been able to keep up with everyone... work is going good, except for all the bruises I have collected...lol I love it though time goes by fast. ANd when I get home at night I can't hang out here cause my kiddos and Dh sleep in our bedroom, which is where the pc is....maybe I'll have him move it .... or ask for a laptop...lol

Loving the song about the BBT , Korin!

hi all thanks for the welcome, this seems like a very close knit group of women. I haven't had any symptoms now for a couple days...so I'm thinking i jsut had a really long cycle this time...we shall see i guess. if i did just ovulate on the 6th, well then i should have a period in the next couple weeks... sigh always waiting...

help me to be patient please

wishing luck and sticky baby vibes to all those mamas who just found out or are wondering

It only takes one time if you are fertile After two + years - that idea that it only takes one time is kind of a foreign one....:LOL

It is possible - but seems unlikely. You know?

Patience vibes, Selissa ~~~!!

I Love My Boy!!

I had a HUGE dip this morning, but not too concerned...I'm only 8 dpo and my LPs average 14 days...last one was 16 (cruel, cruel ), and I did wake up very chilly - only the sheet was covering me. And I will quietly enjoy entertaining the possiblity that's it's an implantation dip...
