I too bawled like a baby during Love Acutally. Dh just bought it for me last week! I was so happy! I think one of my favorite parts is one of the deleted scenes where the boy gets in trouble for his Christmas wish essay at school! Hilarious! I watched it like 5 times!

I Love My Boy - I totally agree about the Sarah character. I thought she was one of the most interesting and heartwrenching characters.

to Velveteen & Coleslaw and to anyone else rebooting or just having a hard time right now.

Jessviola - may I ask why you were taking the apple cider vinegar? I've read a lot of good stuff about apple cider vinegar lately as far as cleaning with it, or soaking in it, but I don't know what benefit there is in drinking it. I'd love to know!

Ok, day 45 for me. I have no idea when or even if I've ovulated. I've taken 8 hpt's in the last two weeks and they're all negative! I HATE not knowing where I am in my cycle! Do any of you have really long cycles? What do you do? This is especially annoying because my last 3 or 4 cycles were 28-29 days like clockwork, and now this!! :

I think I'm out.

Bad bloating today, always a sign that AF is coming. A little while ago I got some bright red spotting. A good sign (implantation spotting?) for someone without this progesterone problem, but a horrible sign for me, esp. considering my LP isn't even 10 full days without spotting WITH the progesterone meds.

Ugh. DD is taking a nap, and I need one too, but I'm waiting for my PG friend to return a call (I was returning her call).

I'm tired, I'm grumpy. Oh, well.

I am sooo bummed out about AF being here and just had t ocome whine to those of you who would actually nderstand. I should have a baby in my belly...instead i am dealing with all this drippy crampy nonsense

I'm so sorry about all the damn reboots (or the potential reboots).

Why the can't we all just get pregnant at the same time? Is that just too much to ask? :
I Love My Boy's Avatar I Love My Boy 06:17 PM 06-21-2004
And still testing neg, but I'm feeling very positive about it all. In fact, as far as I'm concerned, I'm pregnant until proven not!

I have used up all my tests on negs and I don't think I'm going to buy any more. I won't be looking for and I hope it stays away for another 3 years like it did with ds. So nyah nyah AF. Keep on movin', and don't even think about visiting any more of the wonderful women on this forum! (except those who aren't TTC yet!)

Ravenmoon --Positive Sticky Baby Vibes!!!!! Please keep us posted!!!!

Wouldn't this be wonderful after 2 m/c's? I soooo feel for you.

Hugs to MamanFran. I hope you're wrong about the arrival.

ILoveMyBoy -- keeping fingers crossed for you!! You too, Katy!!!

Selissa -- sorry the reboot is being so hard on you.

Hugs to Miz, too.

SnowCherries -- I'm notorious for long cycles. Anywhere from 5-7 weeks, but usually 6. Ain't it fun? :

Jessviola -- I love that you pop in! I feel it's good luck! We should get together with Keri -- that would be great! Hope you're pregnancy is sailing along nicely.

Ravenmoon -- Congrats! I think. Do you want me to add you to the BFP list yet?

Serena -- you're so pregnant. Jesus told me so. :LOL

Okay, add me to the group of people in a pissy mood. I'm not sure why. Maybe there's something in the air. Maybe it's being stuck in a cube while the glorious first day of summer charges on without me outside.

ARGH!! I have a staff meeting at 2 and I really don't want to go. How long is it until 5:30 again?

About the apple cider vinegar. I drink it to help ward off yeast infections. I put a tablespoon in about 8oz of water. I add several drops of liquid stevia. That makes it taste like really tart apple cider. Really not bad tasting. It totally grosses out Matt, which is a plus.

This cycle I had lots of carrots (love 'em) and grapefruit juice. As you can see from my chart I had a *bit* of EWCM. The most ever! I know part of that is from the annov. cycle I just had so my hormones were a little funky. I do think the carrots and grapefruit juice gave me an extra boost.

Someone please tell me what a pregnant cervix feels like... when you are pregnant is it high and soft or low and firm? I know it probably varies but what is the norm?

I would SO love to have these smilies Too bad they aren't "family friendly" which -- yeah, totally ironic, considering this is how the majority of families begin! (An IUI smilie would also be fun!)

for those rebooting, or who feel like they're just about to. It sucks! Take some time to be kind to yourself.

Snow Cherries - I have long cycles, too. They absolutely suck. The best thing I did was start charting, cause then I can see whether there's reason to hope or not... even if it is sometimes ambiguous!

Ravenmoon -- I am sending you tons of STICKY vibes!!!!!!

Not much news from here... my new health food store (3 blocks away) rocks! I got some Floradix and some new prenatals, and a bunch of other things I probably didn't need but they were a good price, and I got excited! (I'm gonna henna my hair bright magenta... will do a strand test first, but I'm excited about it!)

Our new library also had a ton of fertility type books, so I am in library heaven, too!

Sending out muchos Belly Blessings!!!!!

This isn't from a site I visit regularly (iVillage) and I have no idea if they have a good reputation for accurate info, and according to them it's too early to tell this way, but maybe it's useful anyhoo:

Cervical changes: Can they help you tell if you're pregnant?

Q: How soon after conception does the softening of the cervix take place? Can I tell by cervical changes if I'm pregnant?

A: As you may know, during ovulation, the cervix rises a bit, progressing from low, closed and firm before ovulation to higher, open and soft around ovulation. It returns to its pre-ovulatory status within a few days.

During pregnancy -- under the influence of progesterone and within a week of the missed period -- the cervix softens and begins to drop a bit.

By five to six weeks from the last period, the neck of the cervix becomes soft and can almost feel as if it were disconnected from the uterus.

Unless you are accustomed to the normal positions for your cervix, this change might be very difficult to feel yourself.

Sounds like we need a big round of

Sorry and s to those who are having a rough day. I wish I had some more inspiring words to say, but you all have my love and support!

Raven I hope your tests give back some nice high numbers!

Nothing new here, still waiting to O, and trying not to convince myself that it's not going to happen. Having really sensitive nipples today, which I've noticed around O time in the past. Does anyone else notice that too? I don't know what it means, really. Been GingIO with good regularity, which is somewhat of a miracle with the schedules DH and I have lately. Really still hoping and feeling positive about this month.

Jess, still rooting for you, and both of our March baby meditations! So glad you've joined the One Thread, every post of yours has me :LOL

Thanks i do appreciate it.I'm just not feeling sure about anything as of yet.Getting a positive test doesn't feel good to me,yet.I just need positive proof this babe will stick.Like i said i can get pregnant but i can't hold onto it.I will go in for a blood test in a few days.I want to wait until after my period is due.Which should be the 26th.

Mamanfrancaise~Your period isn't due for a week. Those could be good cramps

Not yet Shorin~After i go to the Dr's and hear whether this is good news or bad.

Oh, and thanks for the compliments about my finally-shared photos! I'm not a fan in any way, shape, or form of seeing myself in pictures, but DH is too cute to be hidden! And the one with our kitty, Francesca, embodies the daddy-spirit he's already got, so it seemed appropriate for Dad's Day. He babies her like I've never seen in my life!

Raven I'm keeping you in my thoughts.

I'm having a bad headache from my TMJ today, I have an appointment with a tmj specialist on wednesday, and I can't wait. Ugh....

I'm at cd4 and just in the pre O lull. not much happening.

Headache bad... back to lurking.

Hey Korin
I find that doing the "stillpoint" helps with any kind of neck, shoulder, facial pain..it's a chiro move I hear, though I learned it from a reiki book. It works great for me when I get facial/sinus pain...
I did a lot of reading on tmj at one point... I remember reading it can be caused by bruxism which can be triggered by hypoglycemia and/or stress. My tmj got a lot better after I did a 5 day fast, which also got rid of my hypoglycemia symptoms (I had a dr jekyll/mr hyde thing going if I got really hungry). My fast was done under very special circumstances that I have not been able to reproduce but I try to do mini-fasts or cleanses when I can.
good luck

Add another to the 2 ww, but it should be over by now! I'm on cd40. Last cycle was 38 days. I only nurse ds once a day, at bedtime, so that shouldn't be doing anything. Last week I thought I was going to get AF, lots of cramps, and just felt like it was all gonna flow out. But nothing. I have a test, but don't wanna take it. Also, last night dh and gio and he hit my cervix. TMI, we were missionary position and he has never hit my cervix that way before, until the very end of my pregnancies. So..........I dunno. I hate waiting! Also, I started charting this cycle, but quit when ds got sick, kept forgetting to temp. I don't even have a clue when I o'd. Had my yearly exam on the 11th called the midwife today and she said they wouldn't have been able to tell, it was have been too early. I forgot to ask about the chances of a miscarriage, just don't know how I would handle that right now. I HATE WAITING!!!!!!!!!

tanya,
i'd been reading up on using ACV for my hair and came across some sites that listed tons of health benefits that can be gained from taking 1-2tsp in a glass of water 3x a day (i misread at first and was taking tbsp :LOL) so i thought i'd give it a try. if you do a search on it, you'll find lots of info. it took a little getting used to at first but it wasn't that bad. and i think it helped with the nausea at first. i don't know why i stopped taking it...:LOL
phoebekate's Avatar phoebekate 09:00 PM 06-21-2004
Ravenmoon - I can't imagine how tough it must be to get a positive test and not be able to feel excited about it. I really hope it sticks this time!

Glitterbits - I don't recall ever noticing having sensitive nipples at any point in my cycle before I had DD but now that I am breastfeeding I can tell you my nipples are jump out of my skin PAINFUL when she feeds for the two days before and the day of O. YOWCH. Then I get more nipple issues around 7 dpo...

Well my temp took a dive today so I think I am going to O on saturday or sunday. My first two charts have this really similar pattern the 4 or 5 days pre O, my temp drops to 36.2 then goes up then dips again... i noticed it on my own the day or two before O in the second cycle but it's quite remarkable in overlay. Interestingly FF put my coverline right in the dip on the first cycle and on the first rising temp on the second so they don't line up exactly in overlay mode but you can see the shape is almost exactly the same. Does anyone else have a distinct pre-O temp pattern? How likely is it to continue do you think?

marie,
i used to see a huge increase from 3 raw carrots or half a bag of baby carrots. i'm guessing i went way overboard though because i love carrots and it was addicting to me, like i was doing something productive :LOL

jess,
i'm KHA for you that you'll get your march baby. i meant to say this before, but i actually had an incredibly vivid dream about birthing a baby girl on what is now my EDD : : :

Stillpoint is actually a CranioSacral technique..(I'm a CranioSacral practitioner too ) I've had it done and it hasn't helped. I think the disc in my TMJ is actually slipping. I've had probs with it for a while, and ever since I had that bad skin virus in the early spring.. and I couldn't move my head or neck or jaw for a week or so... it's been getting worse. I may consider a short fast too...... that has always helped tons of stuff for me
Thanks for the ideas!

UGH on all the reboots. The abject misery will pass-I'm CD 6 andjust getting some of my bounce back.

Ravenmoon,

I know how you feel, I lost two this year. Have you been able to find out if there is a reason for your m/cs? I've just been through a lot of tests and research so, if I can give you any info let me know. Until then, I'll keep my fingers crossed, and celebrate with you when you are ready.

I'm just twiddling my thumbs, I don't remember how to do this part of the cycle since I haven't really had one since November. I suppose I should go back to charting, but my sleep schedule isn't that regular.

Forgot about this until just now.

Someone (sorry, can't for the life of me remember who!) was looking for a BBT with a light and memory.

Someone else (who I can't remember either!) posted this link a while back, and the BBT looks like a pretty good one.

BD Basal Thermometer

Hope that link works, and whoever was looking sees it!

That's the BBT thermometer I use. I love it to bits. I tried other ones but this one is the best, hands down.

I got home from work and we were all out in the yard. Rocky got all tangled up in some irrigation lines and was stuck. I went over to help free him because he was freaking out. As I was working to loosen the lines he broke free and head-butted me. Now I have a shiner. :

Matt's worried he's going to get arrested. I asked him, "Does I look like one of those wimmin who cottons to theys men smackin' on em?"

I haven't had a shiner since I was 11 and Samantha Munger booted me in the face on the playground. She was sitting on the monkey bars and kicked me as I swung by underneath. I never did figure out if she did it on purpose. . . .
