I haven't managed to get my head around personals this morning orther than to say Amy I am thinking of you, whatever it is things sound tough.

So I have NO idea what is going on with my body. My cervix and CM are gettting more and more post O like, my temps are confusing the heck out of me. My two temps were significantly different, one would suggest I am getting ready to O, despite what my cervix is doing, the other would suggest I have Oed, and if that is the case I am sure it was 5-6 days ago, not yesterday and so then I am think was yesterdays dip impantation? tomorrow is another day with another temperature and friday I am booked for a follow up u/s on that cyst so I guess it will become clearer....

: cd4. Gonna start another round of clomid tomorrow. Made an appointment for dh to get his swimmers tested. Told him about it and he said "OK, cool". I guess sanctioned porn is good for his soul!

Annakiss-I teared up reading your poem. I still have a catch in the back of my throat. I loved it. Gorgeous.

Chiromama-Do you mind me asking how long you have been ttc? I'm really just being nosy but I feel like I am the same boat as you. Have you tried PreSeed?

And I have a question in general for you ladies. Do you or have you ever used the Diva Cup, The Keeper, or the Instead Cup? If so, which one do you prefer and why? I really want to use something like this. I am tired of using tampons. I am worried about the long term effects on my body from using them. And I want to try something new. TIA!

I want to get a diva cup, but presently I have an instead cup. I LOVE IT! I have occasionally been using some cloth pads I whipped up. They're good too for days you're not feeling like daring the depths. Ya know?

Korin, I'm sure the CM issue will be what clears this whole trial up. I bet within the next couple of months you get your baby bean Your baby (which I believe is out there) is waiting for you to finish up this puzzle so he/she can get to you. I hope you don't need to do anything else other than taking those herbs. I'm also VERY glad you got a MW/ND that is so supportive! You're awesome, girl!

I just started using the Diva cup last night. I'm still not really used to it yet. I can feel it the whole time and it really irritates me. The longest I've been able to stand using it is for about 4 hours. I'm kind of sorry I got it, I wish I would have bought some mama pads instead. I know that most women do like it though - I'm just very sensitive.

Thank you all for the thoughts and hugs. Let me just say you ladies are about the only people I feel comfortable talking to and I'm so glad I have you!!

I really don't want to offend b/c I know this can be a touchy subject for some so here goes. Back in April one of my DH's friends called and was genuinely concerned for him b/c he had seen him smoking outside the firehouse. I confronted DH at that time and he said he'd only smoked a "few" plus some cigars every now and then. I was so upset that this had been kept a secret from me and he promised then that he would never smoke again.

Fast forward to today. I pulled up to the firehouse (for an unannounced visit) and Ross and I walked in and I asked someone where he was and they said "Standing out front smoking." *insert here* The guy I was talking to said "Uh-oh." Anyway he went to find him for me and he came outside and I just asked him, "Were you smoking?" and he said that he was and that we needed to talk.

I'm very hurt by this and I've been lied to since April. This isn't about smoking it's completely a trust issue for me. I don't like smoking and I don't like the havoc it can wreak on your body and I don't understand why my DH would choose to do something like that AND lie to me about it.

He wants me to help him quit and I don't know how to help him. All I know how to do is be mad and hurt. He says he doesn't think he's to the point where he's "hooked" and he says he wants to quit.

I'm really at a loss. This may seem like a trivial thing to be this upset about but like I said this is all about trust and I have none in him as of now.

Okay, putting on my happy face to talk about more pleasant things.

I'm 5 DPO and my temps have stayed high.

Anna-Your poem is just beautiful! You have quite a talent with words.

Becca'sMama-Good luck w/this round of Clomid. Do you find that it dries up your CM?? I read that in TCOYF I *think* and I was wondering if that's a side effect.

phoebekate-Your chart sounds like mine this month!! Our body's can be so confusing! Good luck.

chiromama-All your signs sound positive! :

Johanna-I love those gif's!! Awesome!

Elena-Thank you for the 's.

chiro - good news! another piece of the mystery explored. sending you all sorts of babydustthoughts.
WHen I was mostly living in lurkmode, your posts kept me laughing when I needed a smile. Thanks for that!
Miz- sorry to hear of your bleeding issues too! it is an uncomfortable, annoying, frustrating and at times exhausting long road. I had months of strange bleeding after delivering my ds and then again when we weaned. Now, with all this after m/c, I wonder if this is just something my body does.

Amy - I know he says he's not addicted. But if he weren't why wouldn't he be able to just quit? I'd look for herbal ways to help quit smoking.. I'll check my all powerful book and see if I can't find anything... sorry about it all. How awful it feels to be lied to (been there, done that).

It looks like I might end up being a CA mom! Hubby called the SD in Mono County and he just needs to go to a doctor's appointment and once that's done he's hired! The only thing that could change that is if he gets an Alaska job, in which I would just end up living in Seattle for a while while he's in school. Either way we're officially moving! How exciting. Everything is still SO up in the air, though. Gotta make some plans!

I think I have everyone in the right place. PM me if I've missed you.

Sorry I'm not around much this week. Life's a little crazy when Tom travels and is even more so this week because my daycare provider is gone. I did hear from our usual evening babysitter and she's able to come over and watch Nate on Thursday and Friday. Woohoo!!! He adores her and I can get in a few hours of work and keep my boss happy.

Korin - yay for a good sperm count. Hope the increased EWCM does the trick! I'm sending tons of fertile vibes your way.

Jenna. Hope your stay is short and sweet.

Amy. I totally understand your issues with trust. Hope you guys can work it out and your dh can manage to quit smoking.

Off to bed in a few minutes.

Amy-I read that too and for me it is true. I didn't have alot (of ewcm) to start with. So we have been using Pre Seed. I wish I could just know why we weren't getting pregnant. I guess that's the "fix-it" side of my personality. Heck, if any of us knew exactly WHY we were in this situation, I'm sure we'd all do our darndest to fix it! hahaha
This is our year mark for ttc. It has been up and down-mostly down.
So, here's to this being our month!
Not that we haven't tried our hardest every month! But now that I know I can ovulate on clomid, I am more hopeful that we can get pregnant within our alotted 3 cycles on it.
to everyone. I think we could all use one this week! Come on gals, let's see some BFPs this week! Who is next? Who can I stalk this week?
Anyone going to test soon?

Amy - hope your DH can get it together. Breathing toxins is a no-no, but even worse is not being truthful.

Welcome Jenna! We're glad to have you! Hope you're gone in a month!

Johanna - must be moving/upheaval week - turns out I've got a firm quit date for the JFH (job from ) this week and will be moving back to my home state of Kansas. I've been gone for 7 years, so am very excited to move home and TTC the bean next summer! Wahoo! Gotta find a new job there, but things are looking very positive so far.

Good luck TTC-er's!

ETA: I started with my brand-new Diva cup with last reboot, and am very pleased so far! A bit of a learning curve with removal, but so worth it.

a novice charting question. i just got tcoyf out of the library today! so excited to start that tomorrow. In the meantime, I started a chart and entered my first temp this morning.
? I get home from work at 12:30A 5 nights a/wk. If we are gio then do I record it as night or morning? probably a really question but it is before I temp that day so do I record it the night before?
Thanks for any answers.

Hi Kate! I just noticed that you're moving back to Kansas! If it's not too personal, I'd love to hear what area. I'm in Lawrence, born and raised, and I love it here. Just thought I'd say hi!

s and for everyone else out there. I'm slowly coming out of my lurking phase, but I've been quietly cheering everyone on these past couple of weeks.

Feeling a little better, but still pretty 'blah' with regards to this whole TTC thing. My desire to have children hasn't waned at all, but my hope that it will ever happen certainly has. DH is feeling the pressure (I'm certainly not meaning to put pressure on him!), and has not been the HHH that I'm accustomed to. No idea what to do about that. I've heard over and over from various sources that TTC can really wreak havoc on a marriage, but I never believed it would happen to us. B-L-E-H. Here's hoping I'll O early, looks like I might.

Well, I hope this week gets better for all of us, and that some BFP's are on their way!

farmlife, I'd say the night before. I don't think it matters too much. If it's still night to you, then let it be the nighttime. If it's morning for you, then record it as morning.

Thanks everyone re: the poem.

Amy - Sorry about your DH. I hope you two work it out.

Johanna - loved the emoticons!

Jenna!

Question - I've heard of people using their diva cup/instead cup/keeper to keep the sperm in - anyone think that a diaphragm might work similarly? Or do you think maybe it's just a waste of time? I don't necessarily have time to sit around with my legs up in the air.

Anna-

I'm using the DivaCup method right now! I was a little afraid of, ahem, leakage, but it seems to be doing it's job. I'm not all that familiar with diaphragms, but it sounds like the same concept. The only thing I would wonder is if there is enough space to catch everything that needs to be kept in place.

Also, I agree with everyone else, you are a beautiful writer!

Anna, I use my Keeper for that purpose . But, TCOYF says that there is no reason to sit around with your legs in the air---that if you have fertile cervical fluid, the spermies will swim right up in to the cervix regardless of your position.
I figure the extra insurance is nice, though, and I bet that a diaphragm would work similarly. The only thing I worry about with my Keeper is the slight suction when inserting and removing it...

Gosh I have a ton of replies!

Korin- Yay,Ryan has great swimmers!

Welcome,Jenna! You'll it here!

Anna-Beeeuuteeful poem!!!!

Becca's mama- I have used the keeper, was alergic to latex. I tried Instead cups and my cervix tilts and I could never get it right...big mess within minutes of insertion.
I have a Diva cup and I LOVE it except on CD2 ( which is horribly heavy) I have to empty it so frequently I get pretty sensitive down there...so I usually just use my cloth pads and a tampon/sea pearl on that day:
Make sure you give it at least 2 cycles before you decide to love it or hate it.

Amy- I know where your comming from. My DH used to HIDE porn mags ..( i think he was heavily addicted once) and I have always told him to not hide anything from me. I was hurt because he lied...not because he enjoyed the dern things ( hell i even enjoy looking at them too!) And about the smoking, I know you are hurt from him not telling you but go easy on him..quitting IS HARD esp if you don't *think* your hooked. I know I wasn't "hooked" for over 10 years and I am very proud to let everyone know this oct will be 4 years since I "put my butt out" but it was,is & always will be the hardest thing I have ever done in my life. Support him in quitting & be there if he fails too. It took me 4 tries to get it right... (and having a baby too!)

Welcome Jenna!

Anna, that poem is BEAUTIFUL!! Why or why wouldn't you love it!! I just love it!!
Hoosiermama; I'm sorry about the issues with DH. He knew you would feel strongly about it,so he hid it. I hope you can help him quit, even though he thinks he's not hooked!

glitter, what I've been trying to do with HHH is to make sure I'm sexy all month long..........not just at O time. You probably already do that, but it does help. TTC is stressful for sure!
Joanna, your emoticons are just great, I love 'em!

Here's the good news, I think the herbs I'm taking are helping me. This last cycle was so normal, maybe this will be my month??

Korin, so glad Ryan has good swimmersk! Yahoo!!

You're so right. I've been thinking about it a lot lately, and I've come to realize that the vision of me exclaiming over EWCM doesn't do much for DH except make him nervous that's it's "go time" :LOL He wants to be involved in the process, in the know, right there with me, etc. but I'm beginning to think his familiarity with my cycle isn't as helpful as it was at the beginning of this whole thing. But I certainly don't want him to be in the dark about where we are, either. Especially since it's very important to him (and me too) that we go through as much of this together as possible. Ah well. I'll just focus on how happy I am that he's so loving and sensitive.

I'm still lurking, but not really able to keep up with everything, so I won't do too many personals... but ya'll know I love you! So, even if there isn't a personal to you, don't feel left out

Anna -- that is a great start to your poem! There are some spots you could tighten up (mostly in the middle, ya?) but it's using vivid and gorgeous language Fab!

Amy -- smoking is awful, but it is addictive, and he needs to take the first step himself: admitting he has a problem. Try really really hard not to take it personally. He has a problem, he'll need to do a lot of work to fix it. Support him, but be honest in telling him that there were trust issues involved for you...

I did the Diva Cup thing this time around... and we mostly GIO with eggwhites, except towards the end of the weekend, when saliva seemed more "fun"

I've been doing a lot of thinking about TTC these past few days (or weeks) and have come to some conclusions for myself: I need to find the joy in trying. And the lessons, whatever they are... I'll post more to my LJ

M goes in for his sperm test Friday -- sans moi (without me) cause it's so darn early! He says now that he's OK with going solo... I hope his test results are as good as Korin's hubby Cause I really would hate for him to have to have surgery...

Belly Blessings!!!!!!

Hi Sarah & Melanie - probably moving to Topeka, but still quite up in the air as I survey my options. Nice to see local MDC-ers out there! It's not *all* mainstream people. Although Lawrence is relatively crunchy compared to the rest of the state.

About knitting: I think socks would have been too hard for me at first. My first knits were a scarf and mittens (mittens are very easy - just have to work the thumb).
